Juan & Sekond Nature were absolutely amazing! We met & spoke with Juan several times before the wedding to let him know exactly how we wanted the day to take place..from the ceremony to cocktail hour to first dance..the traditional Jewish dances. They absolutely killed it! The entire crowd was out of their seats & on the dance floor almost the entire time the band played. We engaged Sekond Nature to provide the entertainment for our wedding in Fort Lauderdale. Throughout the planning process the band lead, Juan, was a pleasure to deal with, providing us with lots of expert advice and support on how to structure the event plan for the day. The band provided entertainment throughout the event - acoustic guitar during the ceremony, a smaller 'unplugged' style band during cocktail hour, and a full band for the reception. Everything was excellent, far surpassing our expectations. The reception sets were cumulatively a solid 2 hours of rock and pop classics which kept the dance-floor packed for the whole duration. Guests still comment to us about how good the band was. If only we could get married again so we could work with these guys again! Highly recommend. read more

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THESE GUYS!!! THEY MADE MY WEDDING!!! THEY ROCKED ALL NIGHT & EVERY GUEST LOVED THEM!!! Ok, so no joke, after all of the trials and tribulations of planning a wedding (gut wrenching experience really), I'll swear up, down, left and right, that who you choose for your wedding entertainment is THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT DETAIL at the end of the day. As long as the bride & groom, along with officiant and band show up, you've got yourselves a wedding! Speaking from experience, you can have all else fail and if the band rocks it, your wedding rocks, BOTTOM LINE. As the story went, kinda funny, kinda ironic, I actually had to argue with my parents about which band I really wanted. Little back and forth between the moms and I but after everything, I got my way and thank goodness I did (even she said so afterwards). These guys are not your standard big band bull. Sorry big banders but that simply wasn't (and isn't) my style. Not looking for any trombones and trumpets, thank you. I wanted a great cover band that could keep all of my guests dancing... and by all guests, I'm talking huge age ranges. These guys come across as a good group of laid back musicians who may or may not be capable of putting on a great wedding... but boy did they : ) I literally had a guest at the wedding who now considers herself to be one of their groupies lol, no joke. Now, while I was typically the super planner of the year when it came to planning my wedding, I didn't want to seem pushy or infringe upon their artistic freedom when planning the music so I somehow left it entirely up to them. Yes, I chose the ceremony style and the entrance stuff but really, all else was left up to the band and their discretion based on what, of their covers, were my faves and what type of style I was going for. People were literally congratulating me on the terrific songlist I selected, when they did it all! I couldn't take the credit for the band because I was so nuts about everything else that I couldn't bare to plan another thing lol! Sekond Nature was hands down the best part of our wedding. From start to finish they did such an incredible job. Its hard to put into words how truly amazing they are and what a big part they played in making our wedding picture perfect. I have never been to a wedding where 50 people are still on the dance floor begging for "one more song" at 1:45am. Every single guest we had at the wedding danced the ENTIRE time. They were so friendly and such a pleasure to work with during the weeks leading up to our wedding. They helped with song suggestions and took us through the process with ease. Juan is such a great guy and did everything he could to make the stress of planning a wedding easy and to make sure we were comfortable and happy with everything. Happy is an understatement and i don't even think we can write a review that truly does them justice. Best decision we have ever made was to hire them. With fantastic voices, an amazing band, and the fact that they set the perfect vibe the whole night, they really made our wedding amazing. Juan and the rest of the Sekond Nature band made our wedding such a memorable one! They were happy to drive to our Islamorada wedding, arrived early and worked closely with all who were involved in our ceremony. Our guests are still talking about the great mix of music and how they never left the dance floor. The band accommodated our Colombian guests with music they were for sure to enjoy. They went out of their way to learn our first dance song which was an added bonus to our evening. We would have had them play all night for us if we could have. BEST WEDDING BAND IN FLORIDA! We searched high and low, far and wide for the perfect band for our wedding. None of the big-band or DJ options fit my fiance's (hubby now) or my style. These guys really were EXACTLY what we were looking for. Four good-looking, down to earth, professional, super talented musicians that re-defined the idea of a wedding band for us-PERFECT! Let me tell you the ways in which they are awesome: 1. They played for us the entire wedding day! Our wedding was at an outdoor venue that required several set-ups, which they did without hesitation. They set up one space for our ceremony, another for our cocktail hour, and finally one for the reception area/dance floor. 2. They bought my sister and brother beers! I Have to include this because it shows that they are solid, nice guys that care about their work. We planned our wedding from another state, and did not have a chance to listen to them before the big day. I relied on their website, as well as my sister's and my brother's stellar reviews of a performance they saw, at my request to be my eyes and ears. They introduced themselves, and a few minutes later, had drinks at their table, compliments of the band. 3. Versatility! We had very specific requests for certain parts of the wedding, but when we didn't, I knew I could trust them to deliver just the right kind of music during any given point in the night. 4. They are professional and patient, even for an ultra nervous bride like me! Juan is the lead singer. Go ahead and ask him how many emails and/or phone calls we had up to the day of the wedding! He answered all my questions honestly, did what he said they would do, without empty promises. 5.They KEEP IT CLASSY when it comes to introductions and announcements, something that is not true of bands I have seen at prior weddings. 6. Juan can SING! Go to their website and listen. Unlike other bands who post edited and processed clips of their music, their sound clips are not, and what you hear is what you get live. 7. And the most important reason they are awesome- they can keep a PARTY going. I received several compliments on the music, my guests loved them. One guest said it was the best music he had ever heard at a wedding from start to finish! The dance floor was not empty for a second! 8. I'll embarrass them with this, but they can't help this part- my single girlfriends were happy for the eye candy! Thank you guys. If I could I would rate 3 1/2 stars. Let me just say this band is extremely talented and the main singer and band leader has a great voice. They sounded just as good as I expected but their professionalism was below my expectations. First the microphone died on the beach while my dad sang his song, so we had to take extra time during the reception for him to sing it again. Then the wrong song was played for my first dance and he asked me to substitute it because the song somehow got deleted. Luckily we were able to just switch the father-daughter and bride and groom dances around and he was able to re-download our song. My mother-in law did not feel we got our moneys worth and said the band only played for maybe 1 hour out of the 3 they were supposed to play. I know they need to take breaks, but I expected more live music for the money we paid. Juan did an acoustic duo with bongos and it sounded great! You couldn't even tell that it was only 2 people. Overall I am satisfied with them, but wish they could have been more on the ball. Juan apologized a million times to me and even sang a song he didn't know since it was easy to learn. I honestly think they were just having a bad day. They made a good comeback from the mistakes. If I had to rate them on how good they sounded and their ability to read the audience, they would get 5 stars. read more
