Located in the city center, right in between the Republique and Sainte Anne metro station. This place caught my eye because they pride themselves in being a "responsible patisserie"
Like most patisseries and tea rooms, the price does get a little expensive if you decide to sit in rather than take out.
After much contemplation, I got the Corsaire (3 take out or 3,20 eat in) which was a Caramel Cake, with Salted Butter Caramel sandwiched inside, coated with milk chocolate and crushed almonds, and more salted butter caramel on the top, finished off with a rod of dark chocolate. The worker was very friendly, despite my very limited French.
The cake itself was delicious - I couldn't really taste the caramel in the cake, but the salted butter caramel spread and the topping helped to bring out the caramel taste. read more
