Getting to the hotel during i40 road construction was pretty easy as the hotel texted us how to navigate. The hotel itself is surrounded by fields and open space. The sunrise across the plains was pretty spectacular. The manager/owner assisted at the front desk, made a killer Bloody Mary at the bar (may have been the best one we've had) and knew his hockey too. The other bartender also was pretty nice. Both have worked at this hotel for a while too which is a sign of a good property. The rooms are really large, no issues with parking and everything was nice and clean. We will be back in the fall.

Although we did have to relocate from our handicap room to a regular room next door, because our heater didn't work. We went over to the lobby/ bar at 5pm for a cocktail. Now there are signs posted all over the bar that anyone under 18 was not allowed. However, when we walked in, there were little kids running around everywhere! There were balloons and "Happy Birthday" signs posted. We asked the young lady at the desk if the bar was going to open. She said I'm trying to find out. I felt sorry for her. She had no idea what was going on. I don't know if there's new management, or if it's just total disorganization, but won't be staying here for awhile. By the way, as I was making this reservation I was hacked. Then it kept showing me insecure connection. After trying to get a refund, we were advised that they could not help us since we booked through a third-party. The person behind the front desk had no answers and no guidance. Other than to say we needed it resolved the issue of our refund through the third-party. Since we had a handicap person with us, no other accommodations were available except for a double size bed on the second floor instead of the two bedrooms that we needed. I would explicitly avoid staying at this location! The droppings were in plain sight as were the dead bugs. Total failure, and disappointment!
