We were here for a wedding, beautiful ceremony outside and inside for cocktail hour/sit down. Food for cocktail hour was abundant and quite a range. There was food for the less picky and food for foodies. 4 different areas with either chaffing dishes of hot, carving station, cold salads, oysters, shrimp, cheese. You name it - it was there. We ate so much that when the entrees finally arrived, we were full. Open bar was a hit too, with a large group sucking up all the premium liquors. I guess, because the Estate offers shuttle service to the and from hotel, people were more inclined to drink. We left after a few bites of dinner only because we had such a hike back. I needed them today-and gave her less than an hour notice. On top of that I had a sleeping baby in the car. DO NOT TRUST THIS BAKER (Imaria/Neron Cakes)!…read more I hired this baker (Imaria/Neron Cakes) after reading the positive reviews and seeing the beautiful pictures of cakes in their reviews. I gave them a picture of the cake I wanted them to create (see below) to celebrate my best friend's 50th birthday and they said they could do it, but recommend to use buttercream over the cake with fondant pieces on top that could be removed so cutting the cake could be easier, which I agreed to. What they delivered instead was a cake that used limited fondant (just the tiny screws!) and was just an edible PRINTED COPY of the image I sent them, like you could get at COSTCO!! And the printed copy wasn't even large enough to span the whole cake!!! They added glitter to the sides because it looked so ridiculous! Also, during the cake order I also asked if they could make one side of the cake vanilla/strawberry and the other side chocolate/cookies&cream and she said "yes, no problem". On the day of the celebration, the cake not only looked like a poorly constructed Costco cake, it also had vanilla stacked on top of the chocolate cake which was absolutely not what was ordered! I was shocked and mortified at how terrible the cake came out!!! Guests could not figure out what the cake was supposed to be and guessed it was a suitcase or game console. I called Imaria on Monday to let her know that I was so disappointed and embarrassed to give this cake to my best friend in front of a crowd of family and friends for such a special occasion!! The cake that was delivered was nothing like the cake she agreed to deliver. Her response was that she was busy with a wedding and did not see the cake that was delivered, and another baker and designer made the cake who she paid a commission to!! When asked in astonishment if she outsourced my cake (!!!) she denied it and got defensive! I asked her to refund half the cost of the cake to make amends - it was a ~$500 cake, so we're talking $200-250, just as a symbol of making things right. She adamantly stated no refunds is her policy and she would only give me store credit, which I did not need or want. Clearly she is happy to stand by her word that there are NO REFUNDS but will not stand by her word to create a cake she agreed to make. ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUSTWORTHY and puts profit over customers. She said she is starting a wedding planning business and was very busy -- if this was the case she should have been honest and not taken my money to make a cake she was unable to make in the first place!!! The servers were very professional. They had these amazing mini idli with sambar. The sambar was flavorful. They also had dosa making machines, servers to make chaat, etc. The back of our venue had a ton of indo-Asian options. Like there was Manchurian, green Thai curry, kimchi, and papaya salad. The place actually makes a mean papaya salad.
