The Seehaus was our third stop in the English Garten. There are many, many picnic tables surrounding the very pretty lake. Lots of ducks and geese begging for food and you can rent paddleboats here. Again, many food and drink options for purchase.

The location and service were great, but as far as veggie options go...this will leave you wanting. Located in the Englischer Garden, Seehaus is cool restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and an exhaustive drink menu. However, not a lot of things for vegetarians to eat. I ordered this radicchio risotto and it was a little bit sour for my taste. I did appreciate how hot it was when it came out! I also got an irish coffee as a pick me up post-dinner and the server was very accommodating even though she had never made one before :) Would give it a try if you have a big party with no dietary restrictions, but if you're vegetarian, I recommend finding some place else :)

What a great place to stumble upon. Had food and beer; could not have been nicer. Make a point to visit if walking the Englischer Garten. I will be back.

Nice beer garden in the middle of the English Garden and on the small lake inside. As many beer gardens there is both a restaurant and a self-service area. I just stopped for a beer (they have Paulaner) in a sunny day.

Can't beat the food and outdoor patio setting at the Seehaus Restaurant in the gorgeous English Garden. I dined on salmon and vegetables and enjoyed wine all while viewing boaters and birds on the lake. The lack of one star rating was due to the very slow and poor service I received from a waiter who spent more time with other tables. Glad I didn't sit in the biergarten area as there were many smokers to ruin the experience.

I was at an event here this evening and ended up having dinner here. Like my previous review, location and ambience is definitely 5 stars. The food tonight was excellent and, I loved it. For starter we had a salad of mozzarella, avocado, red and green tomatoes and asparagus and I loved it. It was light, fresh and tasty. For main we were served a medium rare filet of beef with a curry butter, potatoes, asparagus and veggies with a nice jus. I absolutely loved the steak and devoured it ;-)) the dessert was a marinated strawberries with a lime sorbet end it was also very nice. The wine was good and the service very quick and polite. I will definitely come back for a dinner in the restaurant again. It's good quality food that is tasty. Whilst I recognize that this is not normal menu food, if it's like this in the restaurant, they will get me back for sure :-)

Went here for breakfast while on vacation in Munich. Loved the atmosphere. It's located right by the water inside the English Garden. It's very spectacular actually. The food was delicious. We had the French Toast and scrambled eggs. Espresso was exceptional as well.

This is a great place to hang out and have a beer. We went to the Viktulienmarkt and picked up some food first before stopping here. Then just bought a few beers and sat at one of the benches by the water. Be careful when feeding the geese and ducks as they are relentless. Excellent place to relax

The Seehaus is an old Munich establishment, know best for its outdoor Beer Garden directly on the "kleinhesseloher see" (a small lake). Paddle boats are available for rent (somewhat expensive). The food at Seehaus is good, albeit more expensive than a normal Beer Garden, but totally worth it if you ask me (Location, Location, Location!). If you can get a table in the first row (directly on the lake shore), you really can't get any better. The restaurant indoors isn't really a highlight IMHO, since there are other places in town that have more character. The Seehaus is best for days with beautiful weather (sunny + blue skies). Even if its not raining and overcast, I don't recommend this place (unless its nice and warm).

Amazing view. Great place to enjoy a good german wheat beer and sausage.

Came for quick bite and beer. Their sweet curry sauce was amazing! They serve paulaner here, a big plus! Also, the lakeside view is worth the walk here.

Unfortunately, for our last visit we only made it there once as we had just a 14 hour layover. We found this little gem by accident many years ago as we were coming back from a bike tour of the city and decided to give them a try as their selection seemed extensive and their prices seemed lower than many other places near the city center. I can't think of any bad visits that we have had here. The service is always friendly and the food is always great and plentiful. They have traditional German selections and also several Croatian dishes if you are feeling more adventurous. If you have never had the pleasure of Croatian food, you may want to give it a try. It is like a crossroads between Italian, Mediterranean and Turkish. The menu is page after page of endless choices as well as daily specials. Two of our favorites are the mixed grill and schnitzel. There are also pastas and pizzas on the menu which are also quite good. Several years back we had our six boys in Munich, several of whom were teenagers, and every single one found things they liked on the menu. If you're dining solo, as a couple or a family, it's the perfect place. You may want to call ahead or go during the off hours as they can get quite busy.

Cozy and charming, it offers breakfast platters from different cultures, with plenty of German specialties. On our second day in Munich, I brought my wife here for a European breakfast--she chose the set platter with a bread basket, while I went with classic Bavarian white sausage and pretzel, plus two eggs for a distinctly American touch. It felt like a scene out of Seinfeld--the German twist on "no soup for you" applies to reservations, so be sure to make one! The prices are moderate, the view is stunning, and the food is simply delicious.

Even though it was quite busy when we arrived, the staff were accommodating and genuinely friendly. Somehow, they managed to find us a table, and later even helped us move closer to the window when one opened up. I was mainly here for the coffee. The food was solid, not mind-blowing but enjoyable. One small thing that caught my attention was the bathroom tipping system, which was a bit confusing at first, but it seems to be a norm in this area, so I can't really fault the café for that. Overall, it's the kind of place I'd come back to for a relaxing coffee break with a view. The atmosphere, jazz music, service, view, and setting all make it a lovely spot to unwind and slow down.

GREAT RESTAURANT NEAR ROSENHEIMER PLATZ S BAHN STATION…read more====================================================== My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Munich City Center for four nights and this restaurant was very close to our hotel. Normally I would be the designated person to look for local restaurants, but this time my husband found this one. He made a reservation for Friday, April 17, 2026 for dinner. We loved our meal there and highly recommend it. I believe my husband had the grilled ribeye steak and he ate every last bit. I ordered the fresh linguini with black truffle and I absolutely loved that. The negronis were great too. One of the chefs brought us a complimentary appetizer before our main course as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My fiancée is here for work, and had a big event last night lasting until around 10pm. I looked everywhere to find a kitchen open later and found this spot on Google saying 1am. Our hotel concierge called and they said their kitchen would close at 11 but made a 10:30 reservation. When we arrived we thought for sure they were closed but the staff (no one else inside) warmly greeted us and told us not to rush or to worry, all was well and they would happily take care of us. Thus proceeded the next hour and a half of excellent and kind service by a team who clearly really care. We ordered drinks, appetizers, an entree to share, and dessert with coffee. The chef himself brought us an amuse-bouche and our entree and spoke to us about how we found the place and mentioned they had opened just prior to COVID, struggled for a bit, but were now starting to do well. I'm so happy for them, the food was excellent, it was clear they all cared very much about great service, ambiance, and taste. They deserve to thrive. We tried a grilled goat cheese with truffle honey on a marinated beetroot carpaccio. This was very good! We split a fish entree - a generous portion of grilled whitefish with a tomato barley risotto with broccolini and a mustard vinaigrette. Sooo good! We loved this plate. Finished the meal with fresh coffee and cappuccino and a serving of tonka bean creme brûlée with a ragout of fresh berries. Seriously delicious creme brûlée, perfect texture and taste and the coffee was absolutely delicious. The restrooms are clean, it's in a prime location in a very nice part of town, and we haven't had service this good anywhere else. Our server was so kind, at no point tried to rush us, and even brought me my coat and helped me put it on at the end of the meal. Do not hesitate, in fact, run here! Great menu, great taste, and great service!
