That is where we under some time pressure enjoyed four different beers from the brewery, and then bought six small bottles of three of them. They apparently always have the Helles, the Weissbier, and the Leicht. The special of the month was a Pils. We though the Weissbier and the Pils were really good, the Helles was fine, and the Leicht ... passable. Definitely stop by here on the way to the railway station to try and/or buy a nice, local beer!

When I was on vacation in Germany I really enjoyed visiting Kloster Breweries. You feel like you are having a religious experience with a beer buzz. Since I was collecting Beer Steins at the time I purchased two at one Kloster Brewery I visited. I like the feel of the stein and the taste of beer when you drink it out of this stein. I've kept my steins for years and years. I'm recommending when you visit Germany that you tour one (or more) of the monastery or castle breweries. It's an unforgettable experience! The pews look original and you can find carvings people left in the wood. Many Of the carvings are initials with dates. We found some from 1770. The monastery was build in 1330. If you are coming from the side entrance, walk thru one of the double door with yellow sign. Also street sign above. Go down the huge stairs and you can hear and smell the fun. Make a left and at the end is where you pay for the beer, grab the stein, rinse and get it filled. All done within 30 feet radius. You can retrace back and grab all the meats and such. Cash only! Outdoor area is huge. Tree leaves started to come out Mid April. Interior beer halls with plenty of seats. 100's people drinking pints and pints of beer. Men's room, designed to take care of all this. Beer was ok, food was ok, experience was ok. Did meet one of the workers offered to take photos. Nicer one at it! All spoke good English so communication was good.

We stayed and enjoyed for at least 2 hours then back to the festivities once they cleared the bomb threat and started letting everyone back in.
