But what we didn't read online was how great the food was downstairs! The hotel owner, Robert, speaks great English, is well travelled, and sure knows how to serve a great dinner. We all naturally had a plate of white asparagus with hollandaise. Robert brought out a plate of family-style meats, which even included a German veal rib-eye that was off the regular menu. His beer and wine suggestions were the icing on the cake. Well, actually, maybe the icing was the dessert plate he brought us with crème brûlée, fruits, and three homemade unique ice-creams. Or maybe the schnapps afterwards. Anyways, no matter how you slice it, our experience was phenomenal.
