Great food. One if our favorites for Chinese take out. Not sure what all of these low ratings are about. The location in Broadview closed, so now we come here. My only complaint is that the prices must have changed recently as I paid $17 for 2 soups, which are advertised as 5.95 each. read more

See Thru Chinese Kitchen - L2. Shrimp Egg Foo Young Lunch Boxy - Chinese Near Me - Hillside, Illinois

This restaurant has some of the best chinese food in the area, the food is great and the prices are awesome!!

They menu prices are totally wrong and they still giving them out. I told the lady if they are wrong they should throw them in the garbage it's a bat and switch. And no refund. I would never go back of recommend to any one read more

The lady at the register tried charging me +50% from menu price due to inflation!?

Yikes. Worst chinese food ever. 5 of us; we ordered 4 kung pao chicken and 1 beef lo mein. Everything had zero flavor and was like eating cardboard. We were only in that area for a job, so luckily we live many, many miles away & will never see this place again. read more

First off this string of reviews about this restaurant Resonate the same theme, and that is the menu prices are not the same as what is charged at the register. The sales receipt is not itemized. The cashier informed me with a straight face "The menu prices wrong" I find these behaviors extremely disrespectful to patrons as well as those who live in the community that support this restaurant. But we as a people allow this soooo PEOPLE TREAT YOU THE WAY YOU LET THEM FUTHUREMORE IF YOU LET SOMEONE GO IN YOUR POCKET AND TAKE YOUR MONEY THEY WILL OVER AND OVER AGAIN. FINALLY. I refuse to debate the price of food I'm about to eat prepared by the very same people making it. SO GUESS WHAT? read more

Over priced and not tasty. Rice is burnt and salty. Egg rolls taste like cigarettes! Don't do it!

I've ordered twice from them. First time back in June - food was good but came extremely late. Delivery time was supposed to be 35-45 minutes, ended up taking nearly two hours. Decided to try a second time today, ordered at 4:15, by 5:50 I still did not have my food with an estimated time of arrival being 5:15-5:25. Cancelled my order this time around and decided to place an order somewhere else because Christmas Eve hours and all, places were closing and I was not going to get left without food or cold food. This place is a coin flip it seems on whether or not you will get your food within 45 minutes or 2 hours. read more

Absolutely ridiculous, they charge me $6.50 for delivery fee. The prices on their website are not correct. The gravy on the egg foo young looks horrible, the food is not good. I wish I had of read the reviews before I ordered. Worst Chinese food experience ever! read more

Food is okay ,but for the full authenticity put at least one fortune cookie in.Maybe I will go back egg roll could have been better. Food did not taste fresh, the rice was bland. read more

Stopped by this restaurant and ordered some Chicken fried rice to go. The funny thing is I had a copy of the Menu prior to stopping. Once I got there the cashier charged me 5 cent more than what was on the Menu. When asked about the price different, she indicated, "The price had changed." Now you and I know that there was no price changed. The menus looked freshly printed. She didn't indicate the Menu price had changed prior to ringing me up. It is not the five cent. It is the principle of the thing. Just take my money and assume I wouldn't notice you had taken it. At this See Thru #22 please check your receipt. As for the food, it was very good. Three stars because you tried to take my money. You didn't try you took it. read more

This is the worst Chinese food that I have ever had. The pot stickers were so hard I could not cut them with a knife. The egg rolls were like rocks. The beef dish was barely OK. I paid $30.00 for a meal that I threw out. read more

Have not been back since my boyfriend saw the cook drop some food on the floor and put it in the pan!!! Before that, the food was ok. But then again I'm not a big fan of Chinese food. read more

See Thru Chinese Kitchen has a chain of restaurants throughout Chicago and the Suburbs. Their web site says there are 21, but the one I'm reviewing is listed as #22..... I've eaten at about 5 of these restaurants throughout the years, some of them are hit or miss. This one is a hit. I usually order the Chicken Lo Mien, a spicy with a little gravy. Sometimes they charge extra for the gravy, sometimes they dont. This restaurant doesn't. My order is always fresh and tastes great. I once had some burned pot stickers and called back to let them know, I guess the lady on the other line recognized my number and answered "you just ordered, whats wrong" (we order alot). My next order I was given pot stickers for free and one free crab ragoon (because I'd mentioned I wanted to try them. 4 stars out of 5 because delivery takes a really long time! read more

The one star is for the 2 fried shrimp ‍. They advertise one price online and charge $5 more for "COVID" because things are more expensive, is what I was told. Okay, strike one. Got the food home and ALL of it was old and hard. Strike 2. Called the store to complain and there was ZERO attempts to a resolution to our issue. She was rude and hung up the phone. Strike 3!!!! Never eat here if you value your money and taste buds!!! read more

Terrible customer service . I called to place an order and i asked for a dinner combo with chicken she did not say over the phone that they were going to charge $2 extra and Then i ordered a smoothie. my total comes out to $19 something i pay because im thinking maybe thats there prices i start looking at there menu they have there and the smoothie is 3.50 so in my head im doing the math and then i was like why is my total almost $20. which then she explained to me that $2 i was charged for chicken, and that the smoothies were 4.50. so i asked her to give me my money back or change my order because she didnt tell me she was charging me extra for those things and she said she didnt know i didnt know that they charged more. read more

Solid Chinese delivery. Crab Rangoon - best I have had in burbs Veggie fried Rice - excellent!!!! Rice was NOT greasy. Good amount of variety of fresh veggies, which were not over cooked. That was a big shock for me. I even requested no water chestnuts and baby corn and they listened!!! Egg drop soup- could of had a little more scallions and spice/flavor. All food was delivered promptly and was piping hot. I originally had wanted dinner special Beef with string beans, but they had no string beans, which is not surprising cause this is a norm for Chinese restaurants. I will order again read more

This place is TRASH I ordered a shrimp fried rice spicy with no veggies and they delivered it to my hotel room. The rice was burnt tasting and it was not spicy. I called and a lady put me on hold and never came back. I hung up and called back and the guy that took my order just held the phone he didn't offer to help me with new food or even refund. He just sat there I said hello several times and no reply he held the phone like a FUCKING coward I spent $12.51 on this shitand I am disputing the charges with my bank. #TRASH #UNPROFESSIONAL read more

See Thru Chinese Kitchen - Burnt shrimp fried rice. This does not have any soy sauce in it this is how they brought it - Chinese Near Me - Hillside, Illinois

The last time I tried to order rice for delivery they told me my order had to be a certain price for them to deliver it. Which was B.S. to me because they changed it to be that way. Their fried rice is really good, but the reason I stopped going all together instead of just going in to get the rice is because they gave me major attitude when i asked why it was like that now. Didn't see the point of spending my money at a place like that. And it wasn't the first time they've given me attitude either. Whenever I would ask for extra sauce or anything in the restaurant I would always get a freaking attitude, but I let it slide since I thought the food was worth it. the phone incident was the last straw. read more

We really like this place. There are a couple of Chinese places in the area that deliver and we recently switched to See Thru. We had been dedicated to another place for YEARS but See Thru beats them on taste. I suggest you try this food! read more

Horrible. You know how Egg Fu Yung can be greasy gravy? This was just grease.with no flavor. The egg rolls were awful. Tough, thick cover with oven marks. Why would they be in an oven? Seriously awful. Zero stars. read more

It was good food nicely packaged still hot smoothie taste like pepto bismol was in it tho

I order from here quite a bit, and every time am very happy with their food. The delivery is pretty fast too. I love their pot stickers, sweet and sour chicken, triple delight meal. Their rice is fluffy and the food is always nice and hot when it arrives. I have picked up my food once and the place looked well kept and clean. There are places to sit and eat but it's pretty small. But great choice for takeout! read more

This food is disgusting. The fried rice is black. It is not all that great. For a fast food Chinese take out is fine but is shitty.

Suprisingly complex flavors for a cheap Chinese take out place (and I mean this in the best possible way.) Their fried rice is very good. Good value too. Two thumbs up. read more

Stopped here for lunch since it was close to work. I had the orange chicken, which was ok. The egg role was uninspiring. The fried rice, just plain bland. Not sure that I'd try this place again. read more

I can't speak to all their food and now never will. We are definitely taking this off our list for visits to Chicago. We ordered thru the Door Dash app. Ok. The Door Dash service was super quick and polite etc. The food...terrible. First they got the order wrong sending lo mein instead of chow mein. The noodles were incredibly greasy. The shrimp I think was bad bc my mother spent the night in the bathroom after eating it. And I'm not entirely sure the chicken is actually chicken. Bland, greasy crap. read more

Good food, reasonable prices. The crab rangoon is delish! So is the orange and general tso chicken.

I work in Bellwood and order from here regularly. The food is very good and the portions are large. The Dinner and Lunch specials though not reflecting the entire menu offer great prices and include and egg-roll and beverage read more

Food is not great just ok but the service is horrible. Cashier very rude and unprofessional. I will NEVER go back or recommend this place to anyone. After spending nearly 30.00 on food I was told I had to pay 5 cents per pack for additional duck sauce when I was only given 2 packs for three meals and appetizers. You've lost a regular local customer. read more

I recently placed a order at this establishment and they gave me the wrong thing. I ordered orange chicken and they gave me sweet and sour chicken. When I brought it to the attention of the lady at the front (Jane I believe) she said it was my fault for ordering the wrong thing. She said I need to pay an additional $.50. My husband heard me place the order and knew exactly what I asked for. She was extremely rude and laughed about it. I will not be doing business with this establishment anytime soon. Everyone at my job eat here and I will make sure to tell them my experience so that we can find another Chinese restaurant. Take your money where it is appreciated! read more

worst experience of my life!! went there on 08/29/15 at 7:07 the restaurant was not pack but there was about 2 people in front of me. I order a dinner special and a smoothie. The guy in the register was so rude and unprofessional. I was there waiting for 40 min just for a dinner special and smoothie. He took care of everyone in the restaurant even the customers after me after trying to get his attention and he ignore for about 5 min an other customer call him and said I was here first and that I was still there. he respond was "I need to do the smoothie" I waited and waited and finally my order was ready . Left the restaurant a 8pm just for a simple plate and smoothie. He never apologize and was rude. My food was cold and sloppy. Im never going back to this place. I read more

everything was nasty. chicken egg roll had chicken skin still on it. veggie egg roll was burnt on the sides. Crab ragoon was disgusting. fake rubber crab and tons of chopped white onions and it was not cream cheese more like mayo. orange chicken was like rubber. only saving grace was the fried rice. But i didn't pay 19bucks just to eat rice. This place was great years ago, not now don't know what happened. now I see why prices are so cheap its lower than lowest quality food. Driver was on time and friendly will also say that. read more

I use to go quite a bit until one time I placed an order over the phone. I went there to pick up the food, I got there a little to quick so the chef was still cooking my combination fried rice.
