They even tracked down a spare part for me from a wreckers (other centres didn't even try and only recommend new parts). Can't fault them at all! Price: Very reasonable. Location: Parking on premises but also has ample on-street parking. Also reasonably close to the city but definitely not walking distance. Other: If you end up servicing your car here and it works out well for you mention my name to them and refer them to others. I believe we'll both get discounts for future services. Paid for the service only, collected the car and made the effort to take the car to a trusted workshop on the Sunshine Coast (owned by my uncle) for a second diagnosis. Some of the issues Daniel cited as requiring attention were legitimate, some could be described as "erring on the side of caution" and some were 100% completely fabricated and false. The difference was $1100 from Daniel's quote to the second quote. I understand some mechanics might get a little creative in assessing what needs to be fixed on a car to benefit their bottom line, but this is an example of sheer dishonesty, no two ways about it. I don't like bringing down a business in this way, but scamming gougers like Daniel do not deserve the business they enjoy, and non-mechanically minded consumers like myself deserve better. If you are looking for a trustworthy, honest mechanic, do not take your vehicle to Daniel's Mechanical.

They did only what was necessary and didn't rip me off. They rang me and gave me a quote before they began tackling the job. I was able to book in for the day I wanted and got it back that arvo all fixed & ready to go. They left the car clean without grease & grime on the exterior and interior (even blacked the wheels for me). I rate them :-D

I received courteous service and the staff clearly knew their stuff. Mat himself dealt with my insurance company to ensure I was back behind the wheel ASAP. All parts, axle beam, tyres, wheels were replaced new for old and the steering was computer aligned. End result: my car has NEVER handled so well and rides smoother and quieter than it has ever done.
