All the arrangements were taken care of professionally and efficiently. Communications were easy. The day of our flight we were treated well and with generosity and friendliness that marks a well run business. Our pilot, David, was excellent and I can't tell you how excited I was to go in a float plane. It was clean, comfortable, safe and gave us great views out the windows. The pilot was easy going about most everything, but very serious about our safety and flying. I instantly respected his professionalism. Brooks Camp is incredible. We had the perfect visit. We saw so many bears and met really great people who were also having the time of their lives. We missed the crowds and could soak up all the experiences of being pretty doggone close to bears who were just being bears. We saw lots of fishing, wrastling, and moms teaching young ones. Great rangers and precautions for both us and the bears. On our flight back we flew over beaver dammed lakes, glaciers, mysteriously brilliant lakes, volcanic islands, rugged coastline, and tundra. Thanks for helping us spot the caribou! I wholeheartedly recommend this trip, and specifically Katmai Air to anyone searching for a wonderful adventure of a lifetime.

In and out in less than 15 mins with temporary DL in hand. Apparently you can get your real ID here too, and considering they will need those by next October to fly, I'm pretty sure we're coming back here. The DL cost about $50 but to me that was totally with it considering we brought a toddler (again, did NOT want to go to the DMV). We'll be back. Pro tip- you can drop someone off and by the time you go through the drive thru at McDonald's or Carl's JR (both less than a block away), they will be ready and you will have food!

Alaska Park is a newer addition to the Anchorage airport parking that throws in an additional twist…read more- valet parking. From the owners of Coast Hotel here in Anchorage the first phase of Alaska Park opened in January of 2014. I say first phase as some of the property is still under construction. When completed the building will be easily recognizable as it will be shaped like an airplane. I have seen the plans and look forward to seeing the end result. How this works is fairly easy. You pull up to the valet lane and are given a ticket for your automobile. The valet will park it for you while you catch a nice warm shuttle to the airport. When you arrive back in Anchorage you call the number on your ticket and they will come and pick you up and have your car waiting for you. Best feature? All snow will be brushed off your car if you go in the winter and your car will be ready and toasty warm. They do take reservations online so it is easy to make sure they have space for you. When I arrived I was warmly greeted. I had tried to load my luggage into the shuttle but was gently shooed away. It really is end to end service. Right now they are running a special where you can download a coupon from their website and you get the first week free. From my understanding if you don't use those days the first time you do business with them they do carry over. And from those days you do pay for service? You earn Alaska Airlines miles. With as expensive as parking can be on airport I really love this alternative and look forward to utilizing it more when I head out of town.

When the valet retrieved my vehicle, I was informed that my tire was flat and loose. By loose, he meant that the tire was off the rim. My truck was not dropped off in that condition. The tire was clearly not flat or off the rim when I drove in and left the vehicle. Additionally, the check-in attendant did not note or mention any issue with the tire when my vehicle was signed in, which further confirms it was not in that condition at drop-off. A During this interaction, the attendant simply handed me my keys and walked away. There was no direction given to return to the front desk or complete any type of incident report or claim. This was our first time to rent a motorhome and it has been a great experience.

Go North accommodated us that we were able to sleep in the RV before we could check in at 10 AM. And we even slept a night at Go North parking lot when we were coming back from a trip from the south side of Alaska before heading out to the North - we didn't like RV parks in Anchorage and our kids preferred Go North parking lot! I believe our RV was a little older model (2017), but well equipped. I bought convenient kits for all kitchen/bedding - and it was very convenient! It was my first RV experience, so I was little overwhelmed at first - but I was able to use/manage (i.e. hookups) very quickly - RV operation tips at the checkin time was very useful. I was also worried about extra charges such as cleaning fees. Go North had told me at the checkin that they would charge about $50 for exterior cleaning. We didn't have a bad weather, so our RV was pretty much clean except dead bugs on the upper part of the RV. And the cleaning fee was not charged. I think the pricing was straightforward and very reasonable. I had been looking for RVs for nearly 6 weeks before the trip. And it was the time there were nearly no RVs and no rental cars. If you need 4 wheel drive, I'd look elsewhere. Good luck if you need assistance after renting - response time by phone and email are very slow. I tried to dispute with my credit card (first time I've ever done that), and all they did was send a copy of their cancellation policy, which just says they keep your deposit but nothing about extra miles never driven. Very unclear. Do not rent from them as I feel these type of shady tactics are why you'd end up with extra cleaning fees, extra repairs, etc.
