Don't waste your time. Go elsewhere. Started refi 11-30-2020. It's now mid May 2021 and we have nothing but issues on our hands. Terrible communication from Diego Palomera and his team. Admits to the ball being dropped and says his associates aren't being held accountable because who knows what they are doing during WORK FROM HOME. All excuses, no accountability. I'm being asked to falsify my tax returns with the IRS to make it look like I have rental income from a property I own but don't even rent. I refused to do this and he said he will figure something else out. That was on 3/22/21. today is 5/17/21 and if I wasn't the one to reach out to HIM he would have never contacted me. He wants the loan period to run so his company doesn't have to pay for their mistakes in the first place. Just BEWARE. This guy talks a big talk but cannot walk the walk and will leave you high and dry. read more

Buying a home was never on my top priority list until becoming pregnant with my first child. This last year we decided to take the leap and start the search for our first home to start our family. In a sellers market in San Diego We had no clue where to start and reached out to several people who lead us in multiple directions with realtors and lenders. We ended up in a world wind of a mess and what seemed like a never ending nightmare until connecting with Diego who managed after over 5 months of working with other lenders and large banks saving the deal on our first dream home. If there's any advice I could give someone it would be to not use a large bank for your lender. Working with Diego and secure funding group was a completely different experience. We didn't feel like just another number or piece of paper. I reached out to Diego in a last ditch effort to save our home. We were already past our expected closing date in escrow with no end in sight going in circles with the big bank, He managed to pull off what 3 other lenders failed to do! He paid close attention to detail was so thorough and went over every piece of our file and finances and made sure we were in the place we needed to be to get our home. He spent nights at home on the phone with us working numbers, would answer during family time and in route for the gym to help clarify things for us and was always available, not something you will find these days. It truly made us feel like he cared about helping us. We are so grateful, as I write this review sitting in my new home Diego and secure funding group were able to close a deal that was on its last leg in under 21 days in the middle of the holidays. After working with several lenders I can honestly say I would never recommend anyone else! Those primitive social skills & smart-ass, prissy attitude would fitting for a dishwasher but, not mortgage broker. Maybe he missed his true calling? He actually thinks Duke Snider is my real name. Must not be a baseball fan. Anyway, we paid his $50 credit check fee but, he doesn't recall bugging my wife at work, not returning any of my calls, or generally being lazy & inept which only further validates our claims. Steer clear unless you want an incompetent team on your side. Mr. De Anda and his associates do not communicate with your agent for updates of any form. He had my property in escrow for 25 days and did NOT notify my agent his buyer was not qualified until a couple of days before closing. When he finally answered his phone/text he notified my agent his buyer could not qualify but would find another solution. There was no other solution. He wasted my time and I lost possible buyers waiting on his lies. His lender is just as shady as he is. Mr. De Anda you should find another line of work sir. Do NOT waste your time with this company. WORST LENDER EVER! They do not answer their phone, do not return calls, do not give you status updates on the loan. They go on vacation and don't tell you. Like most people today, I juggle between work, home, school, children, pets, and so many other things. The idea of adding "buying a house" to my plate seemed like such a chore. My family and I were quickly outgrowing the small house we were renting. I started looking for rentals and no surprise, rents were very high. i have been dealing with secure funding for 90 days. it started good so far, as of nov 2016. moving forward to today's date feb 01 2017, it has been the WORST nightmare my parents have been through. in respect to our situation, I can NOT recommend this funding company. I noticed a typo of our contact number by one digit, and we received documents on mon 01 30 2017 in error. I hope they are investigating WHY this ERROR happened? I'm NOT saying secure funding chula vista (otay ranch eastlake area) has NOT had success stories. for those clients who have HAD success stories, this company, good for you. at least you did NOT have the MIGRAINE disaster my parents have had. read more
