I've had my brows done a couple times in the last five years. Pigment doesn't last too long on me (sweat a lot?) so was looking around for a touch up. Due to C19, many places are closed and/or don't have good reviews. I called Wendy and she was just fabulous. Explained that I had faded brows and I wanted to keep the same shape and size just needed darker brown again. She worked with my crazy work schedule, was reasonable in price and the overall experience was wonderful. Time flew during my session as we had great girl talk while she worked. If you're needing work, Wendy's your gal, she's great! I would definitely recommend her to anyone for permanent makeup work. This was my second visit to Wendy at Secrets Salon. The first was 8 years ago to get permanent eye liner. Back then she said it would last about 6-7 years and i was at 8 years! I probably could've waited a bit longer but decided to go now. Having Wendy do my eye liner was the best decision I've made! It looks natural and I can run out the door with confidence and getting ready takes less time. The procedure is a bit scary but she puts you at ease. Wendy came highly recommended by a couple of my friends who used her services and RAVED about how amazing her work is. Both of them got permanent make-up and they look fabulous. After a third person recommended Wendy, I finally called her. She was very professional and friendly on the phone and answered all of my questions about permanent eyebrows and eye liner. I had done a lot of research prior to calling, so I had a lot of in-depth questions. Wendy seemed exceptionally knowledgeable. When I arrived for my appointment, salon was really quaint. It was clean and very professional. When Wendy greeted me, I was surprised at how gorgeous she was - very natural, warm and professional. She explained everything that she was going to do, let me ask a million more questions (and patiently answered all of them). She applied a numbing cream for about 20 minutes or so and then drew on my eyebrows based on what we talked about. I LOVED them! She nailed it. The process wasn't too painful. Wendy walked me through every step of the way, explaining what she was doing, etc. After she was done, she gave me the mirror and I was shocked to see myself! I have to say, I think this has really boosted my confidence and I definitely feel better when I'm not wearing make-up. Wendy is so amazing at permanent make-up and she's been in this industry for YEARS! She knows her stuff. I've already referred three friends and more to come. I can't say enough good things about Wendy and her knowledge. If you're on the fence, like I was, just know that this is the person you want to see!!!! WENDY at SECRETS SALON IS THE BOMB! I went to Wendy about 8 weeks ago based on a recommendation from a coworker who got permanent eyeliner and brows through Wendy. I was kind of reluctant, but my coworker's make- up always looks so amazing and really natural. The Salon: It's located on Alhambra Blvd in East Sacramento. Easy to find and parking wasn't an issue at all. When I arrived, Wendy greeted me and I immediately felt at ease. Wendy is super friendly, warm and made me feel welcomed. The salon is super quaint, clean really welcoming. After I filled out the paperwork, Wendy brought me back and we talked about my brows and what I was wanting. She's super knowledgeable and has been in the permanent make-up industry for over 20 years. She drew on my eyebrows after I told her what I wanted. After the pigment was on as a guide, she put this anesthetic gel on my brows. This took about 20ish minutes to take effect. When she was done, I couldn't believe how amazing they looked as far as the color and shape. NOTE: my own eyebrows have been plucked to death which has left me with a thin line of eyebrows and I've never been able to draw them on evenly. I was super excited after seeing the preliminary brows that Wendy created. The Procedure: It was mildly uncomfortable, but not painful. I get that everyone has varying levels of pain, but it wasn't bad. When she was done, I sat up and couldn't believe how amazing it looked. It changed my entire look!! I love them! Wendy gave me some paperwork on how to care for my brows and how long it would take for them to heal. It took about 3 weeks. They did a little scabby and she told me all that beforehand. But they healed amazingly and I'm sooooooo happy!! I'm not sure what one of the other reviewers was talking about with regards to "soliciting" and "trying to sell cosmetics to me...." Wendy never tried to sell me products or solicit her services to me. WTH??? I can't help but think this is an ANGRY person and maybe even a fake, vengeful review. And as far as paying with a credit card and the machine "being down", everyone knows that the internet occasionally fails and sometimes it happens with credit card machines since they are internet based. It's happened multiple times at my place of business. Wendy is such a professional, warm, calm and amazing permanent make-up artist. If you're seeking (or even thinking about it, but reluctant like I was), I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WENDY AT SECRETS! You won't regret it. She's so experienced and truly cares. read more

I got my brows done by Wendy in January and I absolutely love them! She chooses a color that matches the color of your hair and works with you on the shape you want. I had over-tweezed and had mis-matched brows for quite some time. She spent a good 20 minutes with me drawing on the brows I wanted and what looked good on my face. It is painful, however she used a numbing cream after about the first 10 minutes, and after that you can't feel a thing! I couldn't be happier with the results! read more

I met Wendy Landsdon, the owner of Secrets Salon at a homeshow about 4 yrs. ago. I had wanted permanent eye liner for awhile but am a chicken when it comes to pain. After spending about an hour watching her work and noting her professionalism with her clients (none of whom were jumping off the table in pain) I decided to go to her studio and get permanent eyeliner. Wendy was superb! My top and bottom eyeliner was done months ago and looks fabulous. I loved everything about the experience. The location (super cute - not your normal tattoo shop), the setup (comfy laid back chair and soothing environment), the artist (very calm, reassuring, and talented), the procedure (not bad compared to my other tattoos especially for being on the eyes), and definitely the results (looks so pretty). The eye area is numbed so it is not so bad and I was able to drive myself home right after the tattoos and the touch-up appointment. Took a week to heal but was really fine just a few hours after the work was done. I would definitely recommend Wendy for any permanent cosmetics. I had been complaining about how I could never find an eyeliner that would stay on my eyes and how it would be great just to have it done permanently, so when I saw the Living Social deal, I purchased it. I called to make my appointment and Wendy was great about scheduling me on Friday to allow me to heal over the weekend. When I went in I was nervous. I have had tattoo's, but not on my eyes! I brought a friend for moral support. Wendy was very nice and courteous to both of us. She made me feel at ease during the process and talked to us and asked me how I was doing several times. She even gave me a teddy bear to hoId on to, which helped more than I thought it would! I had my upper and lower eyelids lined, but I wanted a very thin upper line for a natural look and that's exactly what I got. I even got a cute "goody' bag with care instructions and ointment. She scheduled me for a touch up appointment in a month, which was included in the price. This was a plus because other places charge for a touch up. Wendy did such a great job! My eyes were puffy that day and the next, but I never had any bruising- it just looked like I had been crying. The liner on one eye did come out lighter than the other, but I think that was because that eye watered more during the proceedure. She went over it during the touch up and now they're perfect! I had a great first experience doing permanent makeup with Wendy and I would definately recommend her. I would go back myself! I've been thinking of getting my lips done.... :) read more
