We bought our house the day the pandemic was announced. I feel fortunate to have bought the house when we did. It is a nice home. When we bought the home the previous owner had painted the house in a trendy dark brown-ish color. And over the past few years the dark paint color had begun to fade and the house didn't look as nice any longer. So we decided to have the exterior painted with a fresh new look. I had gotten quotes from three different painting contractors. From the moment I had met Jason of Secor Painting, I knew who I liked the most, but I had to see the price first. Jason's price was competitive, so I went with my gut and signed him up. I am so happy that I had chosen Secor Painting. Jason and his crew are incredible. His crew is professional, hard working, and did an exceptional job. At the end of everyday, knowing they were coming back the next day, they cleaned up the job. Jason was accommodating with color selections, and uses great products. We could not be happier with the finished results! I HIGHLY recommend Jason and Secor Painting! read more

When we wanted to repaint our place, I interviewed several companies and Jason was the most prompt and qualified. His quote was also competitive. Jason also talked me through colors and painted many samples so I could see how they looked at different times of day. His team took a lot of time prepping--power washing, patching, and sanding. They take care and take pride in their work. The finished product looks great! So clean and cheerful! read more

I guess living in Ventura sometimes we may take things for granted, short lines, friendly store clerks and honest car mechanics so when you accept a bid from Jason at Secor Painting you may not be surprised by the outstanding work. It's wonderful when somebody exceeds expectations and simply displays exceptional and skilled work on the job. We are having our home painted by Secor and each day when I come home from work I'm blown away by the craftsmanship of the work. The crew takes the time to do outstanding repairs that I did not expect... it's like they are working on there own house or their Mothers house. A while ago we had a new breaker box put in the back of our house and the stucco job that the electrician did around the new box was shabby at best. With out being asked or Not being part of the bid the Secor stucco guy redid the electricians shabby work. I could go on and point out the amazing prep work they are doing. I can hardly wait till the job is done. I'm not sure if Secor gives you the lowest bid but honestly I don't care... it's our house... and I'm extremely happy we chose Secor painting. read more

I contacted Jason of Secor painting on a Sunday; he responded within 15 minutes, and his crew, Daniel and Josue, came the following day. They were on time, professional, and helpful. Jason's pricing is reasonable. I highly recommend Secor for timely response, quality work, and helpfulness. read more

I had Secor painting paint some exterior parts of my home, sand & seal wood fences, deck and gazebo. I am so incredibly happy with the work they did! Looks amazing and the work was done on schedule. I wish there is a ZERO rating. The moment i called JASON ( owner ) about his painting service, he asked me right away 'Are you a realtor'? And i responded NO then his voice started to calm down became sad & sounds he was NOT interested at all. Jason took him a long time to get an Appt then when he came in & was LATE. And NEVER call me back for price estimate. Also, JASON said for initlal consultation "Paint & materials are expensive'! STAY AWAY from this company!! Just go somewhere else. BAD business read more

Great company!! Took the time to go over and very clear estimate and paint samples we selected. The work is stellar! Did our exterior home and the workers were super detailed and very clean. Highly recommend Secor Painting for your next paint job. read more

Jason responded to my request for a bid, in a timely manner. He showed up late for the consult, without getting ahold of me, but sometimes those things happen. He said he would provide a bid in the following couple of days but he never responded (2 weeks ago). Personal accountability is important to me. read more

I was happy with Secor Painting. The owner took the time to paint sample colors on the exterior wall before I made the selection. Everything not being painted was covered; even my neighbor's fence. They did a good job and showed up everyday as scheduled. The job was top notch. read more

Secor Painting - Painters Near Me - Ventura, California

We used Jason and his team at Secor to paint our kitchen walls, ceiling and original cupboards, and one office including new shelves, in our 99 year old home. When we bought the home, it was in poor shape, and we are slowly renovating and restoring it. The two rooms Secor painted needed a LOT of prep work especially to the plaster and lath walls and the 1925 kitchen cabinets. Jason gave us great guidance about what paints to use to achieve our goals. His team was always on time, worked hard, kept everything as clean as possible, and did an excellent and professional job. We asked for some unusual colors, and they made the places where the colors joined look great. Jason and his team have taken our kitchen from a grubby dim room that is hard to keep clean due to poorly maintained surfaces, to a bright and clean place to cook and enjoy. The process was rather expensive, particularly as the two rooms were in poor shape, but worth it. We are delighted with the quality of Secor's work and the outcome, and would use Secor again. read more

We recently purchased a house which needed the interior to be painted throughout. It's a fairly large house of about 3000 sqft. We had several contractors come out and bid on the project. Jason came out promptly to look over the house and discuss options as far as color arrangement and paint type. He was very polite and took his time in answered all of our questions. We got the best bid from Secor painting. Our other concern was how quickly they could schedule the project. I told Jason we needed to move in ASAP and even though he was booked for several weeks, he was able to shuffle his crew around to get to our project the following week. None of the other contractors were willing to do that. Jason and his crew did an amazing job throughout the whole house. Any issue I had with the work they were already aware of and Jason assured me they would have the house in perfect condition once completed. And that they did. I made the mistake of pointing out a painting issue after the project was completed to Jason that was not part of the original agreement and he still had his guys show up to fix it at no cost even though he had no obligation to do so. The other problem which I have to give Jason credit for is the limited supplies that were available. Some of the colors and primer were not available locally so Jason went out of his way to go to locations further away to make sure he could get the project completed on time. He was delivering supplies daily. For anyone looking for a painter who'll do a pristine job and make the job headache free for their client, we highly highly recommend Secor painting. Give Jason a call. Thank you Jason and your crew for making our home look amazing. Our family appreciates you going out of your way to make the house ready for us on time. We'll definitely call your for any future projects. read more

We just had our home painted by Secor Painting. His crew was excellent. They helped us match out colors we already have. Did an excellent job preparing and patching work that was needed. Dustie our Labrador fell in love with the painters. We are having our new gutters installed today. We have two new side doors on order so they will be back to finish them which makes Dustie one happy Labrador. I have already recommended them to some of my friends who need their homes painted. Jason has been great to work with. Flexible and laid back and sets you at ease through the estimate process.

We used Jason and the team at Secor Painting to paint our old home and had a great experience back in 2019. When we bought a new house back in March, we knew we had to use Jason again to paint our new home. Jason came over and went over all the paint samples with me and got a sense of the feeling/theme I was going for. He made some suggestions and helped me choose paint colors that went well together. His team also added baseboards upstairs, that match the downstairs baseboards that the original owners had. When we didn't like a color, his team easily swapped them out. Jason made himself available to us to address questions/concerns during the entire week it took to paint our entire 3,300 square foot home. I highly recommend them for all your painting needs. read more

We were very happy with Secor Painting. We had the outside of the house painted and a small fence replaced. They were respectful and consistent while here. Jason and his team are simply the very best painters I have ever hired. They painted the entire inside of my Ojai house a couple of years ago and the work still looks brand new. I hired them again this week and received the same quality work with attention to detail along with great communication and fast response time. If you want your painting done perfectly hire Secor Painting. Five stars!!!!! read more

I have known Jason Secor for many years and I always look forward to using his company's painting services. Secor Painting painted the exterior of our house in September 2022. As usual, Jason was prompt and responsive and the cost was a great deal for the quality service his company always provides. Jason's painting work crew was also great and they all worked hard to get everything done on schedule. My wife and I love how it all came out and the color was perfect. Just the best. I highly recommend! read more

Jason was very accommodating in working with a short time fram to accomplish a full interior painting of our home. He spent more time and added options such as accent walls and complimentary colors for our project that no other company mentioned. His employees were very professional and we couldn't be happier with the finished job. Thanks again Jason!! read more

This company and owner Jason Secor are quality from start to finish. My house, garage and shed needed some love. I wanted a job that addressed the issues, blemishes and delivered a finished product that will last. The diligence in the prep work for both wood and stucco was beyond what I have ever seen done. Color selection and matching was simple. The crew was professional, considerate, respectful. My neighbors even commented on the crews demeanor. At the end of every day the work area was cleaned. Tools and materials were safely stored in an orderly fashion in the agreed upon staging area. I could say more- hopefully you understand how pleased I am with the job done - all part of it. You get an all round professional job. read more

Jason and his crew did an excellent job of painting our beach house and shed. Jason gave us a fair estimate, the crew came on time and completed the job as promised. The house needed extensive wood replacement which they did and did even more than asked. We highly recommend him. read more

Jason called me right away and went to my house to check out the job. He called me that afternoon and explained everything. I asked him to write up an estimate and send it to me as soon as he could. He was clear, knowledgeable and polite but I have not heard back from him going on 2 weeks. I understand he might be busy and maybe my job will have to wait but I was ready to hire his company and was anxious to get a price but nothing I hope he will get back to me at least to say he can't or does twang the job, read more

Jason and his crew painted my townhouse interior a couple months ago. They broke bathroom light fixture and stated they would replace the glass or purchase a new fixture of my choice. Asked to have glass replaced as this was a matching light fixture in both bathrooms. They could not find glass and then promised to replace fixture of my choice. I finally agreed as this was not what I really wanted. Then stopped returning phone calls and texts. They never replaced fixture and left me a very unhappy customer. Painters also painted the electrical box shut and had to use knife to cut away paint to get into box and old paint was not completely removed on kitchen cabinets leaving new paint cracking and peeling off. read more

Just had the entire interior of our house painted to prepare to put it on the market. Secor Painting did a fantastic job. We needed some color correction in a few areas, slightly dinged up walls repaired, and the ceilings in a few rooms done. The crew always showed up on time. And cleaned up any mess before they left. They did exactly what they said they would, and they finished the whole job slightly earlier than anticipated. It all looks great! read more

Secor Painting just painted our Home and what a great experience that was!! Jason came and provided us with a fair and reasonable estimate right after he inspected our home, that was already a surprise and then when the work started another surprise and I mean very, very positive one. The painter worked very efficient and clean, they didn't take any short cuts what so ever and in the end, we got a wonderful painted home and we already got many question form our neighbors for a referral and we are glad to recommend Secor Painting. Thanks guys for you great and clean work! read more

My wife and I are extremely pleased with all the work Jason and his team did at our home. First, our exterior needed stucco repairs and complete painting, including five different paint colors, including main stucco, trims, facia, shutters and doors. Jason matched all these w beautiful, durable Sherwin Williams paint. When Jason was done our home looked more beautiful than ever. We were so happy with everything Secor Painting did on the exterior we asked Jason to bid on our interior. This is where he really shined. He helped us select colors (our home had been all builders white inside) and he showed us many colors, and recommended several for us to choose from. We were so happy with his knowledge about what would look good, given existing tile color, and esp the look we wanted. When completed we loved everything, from our entryway and living room thru the hall and our four bedrooms which each have a unique color. Now our home looks like a model home. Secor attention to detail and cleanliness are A+. We are thrilled with Jason and Secor painting. Brian and Lisa. read more

We used Secor Painting when we bought our new house. They are so great! The painters are extremely talented. I cannot find a single mistake! I am so happy with their work. Have received several compliments from visitors. They are a little more $$ than I would have liked to pay, but overall wouldn't have changed a thing! You get what you pay for and they were worth the money! read more

Secor Painting was the best.  Jason and his crew..  Juan, Angel, Cesar, Efren did the most amazing job on our house.  The came at the exact time they said, helped us with our color choices, was very honest and up front about all costs and not once did we feel pressured to rush into the job.  Every day the crew showed up at 7am and when they left at 4pm, they cleaned up and organized all their equipment.  Our house had much needed prep work and they always swept up before they left.  At the end our house looks brand new model home. read more

Secor just completed interior painting of my 1846 sf tow home. Painters were professional, clean and always on time. Highly recommend

This is a long overdue review! I cannot recommend Jason and his team highly enough. After a long renovation project and several negative experiences with previous contractors, last May my husband and I were faced with the daunting task of finding someone to paint the interior of our home as the final step in the process. After interviewing several people for the job, Jason came as a welcome surprise. On time, calm, thoughtful with a keen eye for detail in his recommendations, and a reasonable estimate, we knew from the start that we would be in good hands with him and his team. We were not disappointed! From start to finish, they did a beautiful job, took great care in their work (efficient and clean) and were extremely patient with me and all of my questions. After 8 long months of renovations and associated challenges, we were relieved, ecstatic, and eternally grateful at the ease of the process with Jason and his team and with the beautiful results. read more
