I met Christine who works there, and she was extremely patient and thoughtful in helping me pick out the perfect fall themed string lights to go on my fireplace mantel. Unfortunately, I live out of town and one of the strands was not working when I opened it at home. However, when I called the store, Christine answered, was so kind, and immediately shipped a replacement to me. I can't get over the phenomenal customer service and overall beauty of this store. I will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

Since the neighborhoods of Edwardsville and Kirkwood are similar, the merchandise in both stores is very similar. Actually, I would be in amazement if someone went into a Home Goods store and walked out with nothing. I think I've only been able to accomplish that once. I can always find some little trinket for the current holiday, a new pot for the kitchen or some new scoop bags for walking the dogs. If you can't find something for yourself at Home Goods, I am confident you'll find a gift or two for a friend or family member. If you haven't been, get yourself out of the house and go shopping. When I shop here, I am not only supporting a local business, I am also supporting a local artist as well. That is a win-win. If any of you have shopped here and walked out without buying a single item, I want to know how you did it. I personally can always find an item or two to buy. I am either adding to my favorite pattern, Mixed Berry or I'm just buying a new random item that I just simply like. The quality of the handmade pottery is impressive and the prices are very reasonable. The staff gives a hippy vibe, which goes right along with the pottery/artist theme. Being a dog dad, I love that their show winning King Charles Spaniel, works the sales floor, like a true champion. When shopping on Broadway in downtown Alton, be sure to stop by Mississippi Mud Pottery. To my surprise, I found the perfect tree at a mom and pop hardware store. I came to St Peters, to pick-up some lawn bags and left with lawn bags and a new Christmas tree at a sale price that was cheaper then any of the other places I shopped.
