They offer a small parking lot, which is a plus in the city. The staff is warm, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The space is laid out very well. Each booth gives its own unique vibe. The majority of the sellers had very well organized spaces. I have been collecting vintage evening bags. I was able to find a few treasures to bring home with me. I also found a few unexpected treasures. I felt the prices were reasonable and comparable to other shops in the area. I plan to visit again soon to see what other treasures I can find. Pro tip: wear comfortable shoes. The spaces is very large and it's going to take a little time to cull through all of the treasures.

The drive is beautiful no matter what direction you're coming from. I live in St. Charles county and took one of the river ferry's across into Grafton. The River Road gets you to Alton in about 20 minutes. Both Grafton and Alton have great food and antique stores to choose from. I was warmly welcomed into the shop. One of the co-owners was there during my visit to assist and answer any questions. The main level is eclectic filled with furniture, knick knacks, and tchotchkes. There is also a smaller selection of clothing on the main floor. The upstairs is a vintage shoppers dream! Clothes, coats, shoes, and accessories. I'm am a fuller bodied person and sometimes have a hard time finding anything in my size. They are size inclusive and did carry true plus size clothing. I can't really speak to value. If I see something and love it, I just buy it. But I believe the pricing is fair considering the care and attention given to the quality of the items they have curated. Enjoy your day trip!

They do an excellent job of curating and displaying a variety of vintage treasures. Prices are very reasonable, so it's easy to go ahead and indulge when something tempts you! Merchandise turns over regularly so there's always something new to see, from original art and old books to planters, kitchen implements, small machines, furniture, and much more. They have a great collection of lampshades, and can repair lamps and other small goods. They rewired a lamp for me, and stabilized a finicky tension pole lamp for a friend. One bonus feature: STL Vintage Cameras is housed in The Bricoleur. Local darkroom enthusiasts have learned that this is the go-to for lenses, film, and much more.

The first time I have heard of this place was for 2nd Saturdays on Cherokee Street. Half of the building is their antique shop and on the other side, a gallery. This particular evening, they were hosting a little gathering and featuring some local art. They had wine, Civil Life beer, and a nice table to finger foods which was really nice. Lucky for us thrifters, a new business called Terra-Cotta will be taking over. The reason I enjoy shopping at 3CC is I can find treasures at cheap prices. I love the bargains you can find at yard or estate sales, but I don't have the patience to drive around and shop them. That's why I love the ladies of 3CC, they do the shopping, buy the best offerings and bring them together at their showroom. Then I shop their boutique and get my goodies. Also within their showroom there are a variety of other vendors who offer; jewelry, greeting cards, jellies and clothing. It's almost like a famers market, but for home decor and clothing. While shopping, if you need to use the restroom, you will see a very stunningly beautiful non-gender specific bathroom. It's a deep green, has four separate stalls with floor to ceiling walls and three basins to wash your hands. I wish all public restrooms were this posh. The ladies who are the 3 Chicks, are charming and make shopping their showroom a fun experience.

I wanted what appears to be a deck of classic Pokemon cards, the originals from 1999, it was…read morelabeled as partially sealed with a firm price of $69 ($74 out the door) and when the woman came to help me at the locked cabinet she asked what I wanted and I told her the box of Pokémon cards from 1999, which was wedged between boxes of newer, bigger sets of the cards which I'm not interested in. The label said partially sealed (it was opened once but had the torn plastic wrap on it still) I asked her how I would know the cards are in the taped up bag/ box and she told me to shake it so I did, she said the sound I heard was the cards in there. She took it to the register and told me to meet one of the other ladies at the counter who could help me. The woman at the register asked what I wanted and I pointed saying "the trading cards she just put on the counter" in reply the woman at the register raised her voice a bit to where the other 5-6 customers in the store at the time could hear her saying "Pokémon trading cards!" She then charged me up and removed a tiny white tag (about the size of a dime) from a string on the bagged box and placed the tiny tag behind the counter. Once I paid $74 at the register I opened the box while going out the door and immediately turned around through the entry door because it was not filled with Pokémon cards, but clear empty plastic sleeves and a crumpled up piece of paper! I went right back to the counter and even though the box has a large sticker on it that says it's a deck box of original WOTC(original printers of the American cards), one of the ladies pulled up the tag they removed that specified card sleeves, contrary to the huge tag provided to me in the photo. This labeling is intentionally misleading and the only right thing to do would be a full refund in exchange for the originally mislabeled product but they refused, even though I hadn't left yet and they thought they were cards too! I am extremely upset at the fact that the staff was unable to do what would have been ethical.
