You bring good and clean clothes in all good quality and brand names but they only accept Nike or adidas. They want mostly purses and Parfum. It's not worth for me taking my time to pack everything up and then take it back home. read more

I recently had a very bad experience consigning at Second Glance in SCS. I called to pick up my unsold items before the end of my 60 day consignment period. They said they would hold them for me to pick up. I called before I headed out, to confirm my items were ready, and I was assured that they were. When I got there, they only had 3 out of 6 unsold items to give me! They were hoping I would not notice, and did not even mention the missing items (which were coincidently, the most valuable) When I inquired about them, the lady was beyond rude. She said that it says in their contract that they are not responsible for lost or stolen items, and that I am welcome to search the store to find them myself! Here, I have a baby and a toddler in tow, and I am told to hunt for my items, that may not even be in the store! Furthermore, it was the store's responsibility (not mine) to pull them for me. Not once did someone mention, when I called, that 3 of my items were missing. It is basic respect to notify a client of missing consignments! So I ended up quickly walking through the store, and easily located 2/3 items still for sale on the rack. Since it was past my 60 day consignment period, all of the profit would go to them. I am beyond burned. This is despicable business practice. They are trying to steal your items and sell them for a profit. I rarely/never write bad reviews, but I want others out there to be aware of this shady consignment shop that takes advantage of its customers. If you do consign with them, count your items and follow up throughly. They seem to purposely hope that you will forget about your items after 60 days so they could get full profit. This is theft. Be aware. I will never be doing business with them at this location again, and I hope you will think twice as well. I feel bad thinking about how many other people they have taken advantage of. (* I also want to add, that this is my 3rd bad experience with them. A year ago, I had a "lost" Coach scarf, that I was eventually compensated for. On another instance, I went to pick up my items, and none of them were ready. They said they marked the incorrect pick-up day in their book. In both instances, I gave them the benefit of the doubt. From the outside of the building I would have never stepped inside but after my mom told me to give it a try I was happy I did. I had tons of barely used baby clothes in bins so I took them up there and within 20 minutes I was given cash for them. The price was fair and I made more bringing them here then I would if I had a garage sale or just donated them. I was very pleased with the selection of baby items they had! I wasn't expecting to buy so much while I was there. Our daughter uses como tomo bottles which aren't the cheapest and they had them there! Her swaddle she loves at night is $30 but only $15 there in awesome condition! MOMS NEED TO GO HERE! So many items we have in our nursery were sitting here in the store, looking new for half the price. I wish I knew about this place sooner!! read more

Id give less if it was possible ,I'm not being bitter but I took some gently used baby clothes here some with tags and a full crib bedding set ,they didn't bother buying that and that's fine but they have clothes there that are really faded charging 3 dollars for ,I sold a bumble with tray and a boppy pillow and push toy and 40 items for a whopping 23 dollars ,I left with two containers that she really didn't even bother going through ,I would of just took the items back and not sold to them but they were all already out and I didn't feel like taking them back to the car,in the future I would rather donate or directly give to a child in need ..it's really not about the money but the point is lazy workers who didn't put fourth the effort to go through all the clothes and no pleasant greeting ,I will not be returning in the future ! read more

Great shop! I have consigned and bought from here and they have great prices. I always find a good deal with name brand stuff for 75% off the resale price. It's a huge shop too so there's a ton of stuff! However the Eastpointe location I feel is overpriced and has a smaller selection. But I feel the St.Clair.Shores location is much cheaper with more variety. read more

To consign or sell children's items, you are better off swapping yourself on a Facebook page. They offer very, very little for things. If I were to estimate less than $1 an item. This is probably why the items in store have been decreasing in quality. I used to buy children's clothes here 3ish times a year, but between this and the GP location, I haven't found anything worth buying in over a year. I was always a great customer.... until today. Prices seem to be going up and are pretty much the same as the store, sometimes more. Once in a while I can find a good deal which is why I'm leaving 1 star. The girls at this location have terrible business practices and a bad attitude to boot if you dare mention a price being higher than the store or bring up the aforementioned business practices. You can't leave them a complaint on their Facebook page, as that will be quickly deleted workout resolve (which they warned me, with attitude, they would do). The owner eventually called me after I left a message and offered me a small gift card to try the eastpoint location. Planning a trip there today and I will update this once I do. Hopefully I will have a good review for their yelp! UPDATE: Staff seemed MUCH friendlier at eastpoint location although prices weren't much better :/ I'll keep checking back though, maybe I'll spot something someday that I can't get a better deal on elsewhere read more

I managed to find a couple of items which were actually priced fairly. I almost fell over at some of the prices, absolutely ridiculous for a store with "resale" in the title. I found Stuart Weitzman shoes, (all leather sole/made in Spain) for $8. It was obvious this was purely because whoever labeled them had no idea these were a high end brand. The label read "Women's Flats" and other tags had the brand name with a much higher price, even if it was not anything special. This store really disappointed me! The prices were very inflated and when I checked out their Ebay store I was even more disappointed. Prices are not realistic, AT ALL. The staff was OK, but not overly friendly by any means. I wouldn't be surprised if they get the bulk of their items from across the street at The Salvation Army and charge double. I plan to check out their other locations to see if this was just a bad location with bland items at HIGH prices. I hope they get it together...because if their prices were better I would potentially spends hundreds of dollars a month there to supply my online store! Instead, I will keep to my regular locations which have knowledgeable customer service and reasonable and FAIR pricing. read more

I am so done with this place!!! I recently took some children's articles in and they picked out 7, some of which still had tags from Baby Gap. They offered me 5.00 which is less than I.00 a piece for each item. While I was waiting, I purposely checked out prices of similar items. 15.00 was the average. So all we are doing is filling their inventory for basically nothing while they make the big profits. Better to donate to a charity that really needs it like Salvation Army or St. Vincent de Paul. read more

This place is a joke. I brought tons of brand name clothes with tags still attached and they denied service to me. You can't bring in any clothing that isn't in a clear plastic bin. They basically said you're trash if you bring things in a trash bag. read more

my friend and i went to go and drop off womens & childrens clothing. she had called prior to us going in & they told her they needed womens and childrens clothing. so we went to the 9 mile location and they said they needed the clothes and everything in a laundry basket so we went to the dollar store & went to the harper location (since it was closer to our houses) and they told her once we got there that they were only doing consignments. my friend had called both places, neither places said anything about this on the phone. so she said, "well i called earlier & you guys didn't tell me this." my friend was a little annoyed, so she said "I will try a different place since i no longer have any use for these clothes" the lady behind the counter started yelling at us across the store. TERRIBLE very terrible customer service, poor instructions as to what you need to do when you drop the clothing off, and very rude employees. read more
