We were a little unsure at first because Eric's company isn't as large or well known as some of the other Madison painters. But we went with our gut and are so glad we did. Eric and his crew were great to work with. Eric is very easy and comfortable to talk to when we had questions or requests and his team was very professional and pleasant to have around. These are not college kids - they are clearly pros. The team spent a LOT of time prepping and scraping the house and filled in all kinds of little imperfections in the siding, even things we had never noticed. We were unsure about the color and so Eric called someone in for a color consultation to help us make the final choice. She did a great job too and recommended something a little bolder than we had originally planned. We LOVE it. The paint job itself is beautiful - the house literally gleams. I hired TL Home Finishing to help with an interior paint job on a condo that was recently purchased…read moreand the previous owners had done an obvious "DIY" sloppy paint job. Tom was very responsive upon first contact and was able to come out to estimate the job within 1-2 days. I was very appreciative that he helped point out some areas in the living room and kitchen the were in serious need of patchwork and repairs from the previous DIY job. Within about another day I had a project estimate that I found to be very fair considering the amount of work that was required. Tom personally helped me pick the color and provided suggestions when I was unsure of paint finishes and a few minor details. Scheduling the workers was easy and Jason and Josh did a fantastic job. The wall patching was well done and the retexturing just made everything look right. They covered a living room with vaulted ceiling, kitchen with a skylight, dining room, and hallway in just a couple of days. Throughout the project Tom was communicating frequently, providing status updates. The painters cleaned up after themselves and left everything in good shape. The person who came out was considerate, he took his shoes off, asked questions about our dog, and was quite friendly. We showed him what we wanted done and informed him of what we were looking at. He explained what he'd need to do, but wouldn't provide an estimate. He did become more and more distant as he walked through the house. He wouldn't provide us with a quote until we removed the vanities, but if we removed the vanities we'd be out of having a sink to deal with. That being said, he was frank about certain areas that needed to be chipped out and resurfaced before even painting. He mentioned that he has a minimum per day amount and a price per hour after that. All in all, if he was willing to even ballpark a figure, we could have known if we could hire him or not. He just didn't seem that he was interested in doing so. I'm sure he'd be great for other people with much bigger projects.

After moving to the area I contacted Chris to ask for advice about removing a stubborn wallpaper border. I informed him over the phone that I was struggling getting it off and needed advice--well he went above and beyond. Chris came over to take a peek and offered me amazing advice. He gave me detailed instructions what to do. He did not expect anything in return. I was so impressed with his kindness to simply help, I decided to hire him to paint some areas in our home. My husband and I feel so blessed to have met and hired Just the Paint Man. I just wanted people to know about our amazing experience with Chris. When no one showed by 10:30, we called Thrift. They had no record of our job. This is very inconvenient because other work is being done and scheduling has been done around this job. This sets us back a week or more with the project. Needless to say we will be finding another contractor.
