The boat was clean and our experience on Sebago Lake was incredible, as usual. Unfortunately, the owners of this establishment were extremely unprofessional and our interaction with them left us with a sour taste from our wonderful day on the lake. As we were docking the boat, bringing it back earlier than our designated time and clean (bar for the few sand granules on the deck that one could count, there were so little of them)the woman owner YELLS from the dock, "Who told you you could take the canvas roof off?". Her manner was haughty and dismissive. The canvas tarp that is also the canopy can be easily removed and reattached via a zipper. As she walked up and down the dock, muttering to herself, we reattached the canopy ourselves-EASY PEASEY. She continued, "You should have asked permission!", shaking her head at us as if we were bad school children. We were very polite and calm in our responses in contrast to her rude and curt manner. Next, the male owner appeared and, in a critical voice exclaimed, LOUDLY, "Never in my 30 years of working here have I ever seen anyone do this!!!". I find this EXTREMELY hard to believe. In my experience of going to my family's camp on the lake for the last 28 years, almost EVERY party boat on Sebago, whether moored or in use, has the canvas shade cover rolled up or totally removed, ESPECIALLY during the end of the season when it's starting to get cool and you need as much sun as you can get These two people have been critical and unprofessional to my family before; I guess when you're one of the only two games in town, it gives one liberty to act in this incredibly discourteous manner though it seemed no problem for them to take our money. I DO NOT recommend this rental service in any way shape or form. Head to the opposite side of the lake...FAST! read more
