I am impressed with corporates action after emailing them a complaint about the hours of operation and being able to tan full time even if I come in 5 minutes prior to close. Hopefully there won't be anymore issues...it's just certain employees I would give 1 star to. but overall I like Seattle suntan: it's always really clean too. One frustrating thing is when they run out the of stickers. Plus it'd be nice if they had enough room to put all the ones they do carry but it's not like that's a big deal. read more

Went in used the unlimited tanning for 2 months told them I want to cancel and 8 months later I realized I was still paying, called and told them that they could see I haven't used the membership for 8 months and asked for a refund and just like the gyms they said I have to cancel in person, I asked to do it over the phone. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! NOT CLEAN!! The people who work here do nothing. Literally nothing. I walk in and I am not even greeted. The blonde girl who is always there and knows me because I am always there, just IGNORES me. I have to ask her to help me. She is in a conversation with another person while I just stand there or she is singing to music she's playing from her phone really loud. There are times when I tan in a bed then do a spray tan. The bed is never set for time, so when I push the button it doesn't start. I have to yell or get out of the room in a robe to track her down to start the bed. Then I go to the spray tan and there is no towel or hairnet and the machine isn't even starting. This has happened so many times in a row over and over again. I have gone into a bed and see that it's not clean, so I have to get dressed find the person working there and ask them to clean it. It's getting old, and I miss the nice pregnant girl that worked there, and other staff members that were nice. The blonde girl acts like this isn't a job and she is really put out by having to do her job. She spends most of her time talking on the phone or to other people. So freaking rude!! Nobody wants to be treated this way or tan at a place like that. It's already expensive enough, I don't want to put my money where I get treated like shit and have to tell them every time to set my bed or give me a towel and hairnet. It's getting ridiculous! I have been to this location twice after making the drive up to Point Defiance to that SST. The staff seems to sometimes circulate, so the really nice girl with the feather extensions is at both! I like that, because some of the other girls at this location aren't that nice. I came in today very stressed and after being told 'the Puyallup one' is the only one in the area with a hydration station, I was REALLY needing and looking forward to my moment of steamy zen. I come in and ask if I can do the stand-up tan today and the hydration station. Come to find out, they have neither at this store. They also don't have the Stage 5/Stage 3 combo bed I've grown so attached to at the Point Defiance location. I decided I'd just do a normal Stage 3 bed, no harm in that. She sent me to the furthest bed from the lobby as seriously possible and the whole wind-y walk back I could hear her and the other girl loudly gossiping and trash-talking someone else. I know it's a tanning salon, but you can't be just a little more discreet? So, the room wasn't as nice as what I'm used to when I tan with SST. I got ready and had some trouble starting the bed up. Finally it turned on automatically and as I started getting in, I noticed THREE bulbs were flickering and about to burn out. The plastic on the overhead part had little heat cracks in it. If I weren't so obsessed with moving constantly for an even tan, I'd be pretty upset to find the next day that I have very conspicuous stripes down my left side. I should have told them but I felt so put off in the first place that I decided I'd write a review here and maybe call tomorrow. I really love being a member of Seattle Sun Tan and I've had an overall fantastic experience with them. This location just dropped the ball today and I guess I can deal. read more

I used to at least be acknowledged as a customer when I walked in and was taken care of in a timely manner. I really like the Versa Spa spray tan. That is the only reason why I come here. The tanning packages are a little spendy which I might pay, but the staff isn't very friendly at all with the exception of the girl with the bleached hair with the dark brown underneath. I prefer this locations versa over south hills versa but the south hill staff next to the Target put these girls to shame. After going to a different nasty local tanning place, I was excited to find a Renton and Puyallup location since I live in Puyallup and work in Renton. I started in Renton and it is very clean and friendly staff. So disappointed when going to Canyon Road location!!! My fist visit, the 22 min level 5 bed, omg the lint and crap on the sheet to lay on was so bad with black lint and strings it stuck all over my body after and had to spend extra time getting it off. Then to just look at the floor was so gross and lint piled up behind the door and all over like they never vacuum. Annoying to say the least! THEN, I go in again and wanted the other level 5 bed instead so was told I would have to wait 15 min. I said ok and asked if I could just go to Walgreens for a few and the girl was very nice, said no problem at all. So I went and came back within the 15 min. As I'm sitting there waiting for the bed for another few min, the girl behind the counter tells me that "someone had came in who was in a rush so I gave her the bed that you were waiting for, is that ok?" OMG ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! NO THAT IS NOT OK, WTH!!! She then tells me after I asked why would she do that, "Well you left" AGAIN, SERIOUSLY WTH, she knew i would be back and told me it was ok. I had foot surgery and have to use crutches for 6 weeks! Feeling down about my recovery, I decided to go tanning to try to feel better about myself as that is one thing tanning does for me personally. Ethan at the Canyon Road Puyallup location greeted me, made me feel welcome, and took the time to offer any assistance I needed to be able to spray tan. He offered a chair for my room for me to be able to stabilize myself. He went above and beyond and I felt very thankful and appreciative for his efforts. I've bee a customer of Seattle sun tan for about 5 years now and never had a problem. I've gone to both Puyallup locations and the girls have been very helpful and happy. Most recently the canyon location has TERRIBLE service. I've had 3 encounters with one of the managers that has the worst customer service skills. She has never greeted me with a smile and she somehow is never able to help. The first time I went in for my weekly spray tan she rudely interrupted me telling me the versa had a wait list of over an hour. The next week she informed me before greeting me to tell me the versa was broken, didn't even apologize. On the following week I went in she again, didn't greet me but informed me there was a 40 minute wait and she could fit me in if I wanted to wait after them. Totally rude read more

Upon my arrival at Seattle sun tan in puyallup when I was waiting for a bed I naturally struck up a conversation with a few people sitting around me. Since I had only been going there for about a week or so I asked them what they thought of the place. One lady said that after her membership she will not be returning due to the inconsiderate staff, and another man said his bed was dirty. As I was walking to my room I noticed the man I was talking to come back out of his room to inform the manager his bed was dirty. I also noticed for the second time within my week or so there that my bed was also dirty again. When I confronted the manager she got upset and said I was not allowed to speak to her about such things at the front desk. I was also told that she over heard my conversation about the facility and that I was not allowed to talk to the other clients about the pros and cons of the place, because the cons were to be reported on review websites only. And naturally I was upset. The manager was then cleaning the bed knowing I would of liked to change for work before she did so, and by the time she got to the end of the bed where I was standing she did not care that I was there and continued to clean the bed running into me rather then saying excuse me. I was then told to leave and that I was not allowed back unless I apologized to her. read more
