Emily, that was working 11/6/25 evening, was so friendly and helpful. She really took the time to explain something to me that I've been curious about, but never really got to ask because everyone is always so busy. She really went above and beyond to provide good customer service. She definitely impressed me, more pe that work in customer service should be like her. read more

I have been going to this location for 2 years. The staff is always so sweet and accommodating. I have nothing but great things to say about this location read more

The women who work here are incredibly helpful and sweet. As a first time customer they made my experience comfortable. If you are a dumbass like me you can trust yourself in the hands of these extremely talented girls. Special thanks to Breana, Savanah and Denali! read more

This place is a comedy of errors. I originally called in October to get clarification on packages. Was going to a trip in two weeks to the beach and didn't want to go without looking like I'd been there all along. I was going to pay for 10 tans or something of that nature, the person I spoke to on the phone was good at sales in the sense she asked questions to find out my goal etc vs hard selling (that's the worst) Said she's take $20 off a full month and I mentioned there was already a coupon online for $20 off. She threw in a week. I said I didn't want to do this all the time just for events. She said if I paid for a platinum month I could freeze it once. I did that because I had an event to go to in January so I'd use the last 2 weeks before that event. I paid over the phone so she got the sale. Before the first trip I start to ask to freeze it and was told I couldn't since it wasn't an ongoing monthly. I explained the woman on the phone said I could and she pulled up my account. She was the one I spoke to! Made this huge deal about freezing the account blah blah. I go to pick up when I left off and am told it was BS. Still have the free week. I use it. Meanwhile every single person during that week tried to sell me. Finally I asked if someone could make a note in the account that I'm in sales also and this wasn't how I buy. Before January event rolls around I got burned on my hands in an accident and tanning wouldn't be a good idea. So I look into there odorless spray tan. I tried so hard not to picture Ross from friends and went and got set up to try it. Had free spray tan online took advantage and bought 2 more. The front desk person asked what level I wanted I explained I had no clue but wanted it to be natural and was worried about looking like Ross. Whatever she picked had great results. Went in yesterday and had to stand there for a long enough time to read 2 articles on Slate while the front desk chick seemed like she was furiously typing. That was annoying to me because I can understand being asked to wait if she was on the phone or talking with someone else. I can't imagine why typing took rank over a live person in front of her. FINALLY! I was acknowledged and asked what I was there for. I say spray tan. She says what level. I said this is my second time IDK what I did last time but it was perfect. She says 3 bronze. Ok you're the one with the knowledge. As I'm getting ready I hear another customer say her beds not working and the chick disputes it and says you pushed pause. This back and forth goes on until she says "I'll grab a robe for you I need to look" Not sure how it ended but I'm thinking she's a bit rude at this point. I went in around 11:30 yesterday morning. I am now Donald Trump orange. 2001 Paris Hilton orange. Halo mandarin orange. I'm trying to figure out if I did all the same stuff before I went in and I got the same "level" then why do I look like I am an escaped umpaloopa for the chocolate factory? No point in complaining, they're just going to try to sell more shit. This was not how my trip to Vegas was supposed to begin. 2 stars for the 2 interactions there that didn't leave me shaking my head. Negative 2 stars for managements approach to sales training and lack of insight for hiring. As to the odorless spray tan? Kick rocks for the blatant lies. It smells just like the tan lotion I used in 8th grade. read more

Desert Sun - My worst nightmare - Tanning Near Me - Milton, Washington

I stopped in to get a spray tan before the holidays. Haven't been to this location in a while. I was greeted by the sweetest worker Alyssa. She went over options for more tans without being pushy. She was a pleasant surprise. I for sure will be going back to this location because of her. read more

Every other time I go in there, something is wrong with my account! It's like walking into a used car lot every time I walk in they want to sell me more or something different. They only have one premium bed that is usually being used. No answers at the front desk and even more confusion at the corporate offices! I went there to relax and instead of relaxation it was constantly a stressful and useless venture! read more

I love this location so much. I have not tanned since I got married, but I have a Florida trip coming so I want to look my best. Things have changed and new things are available not just tanning. Shelby at the Milton location was so helpful picking out my package that would work the best for me and had great recommendations for lotions. She said she was new but her knowledge on the products and equipment was quite impressive. All the ladies here are beautiful and just so helpful and sweet. I will be a forever member. -Venessa read more

This is by far the WORST Desert Sun location I have been to & I had a lot of issues on my account happen when I went tanning here... The staff was not friendly, the rooms were usually dirty. I haven't been here in the last 3 mos or so just forgot to put my review! I have dealt with a guy that was extremely rude & seemed as if he was bothered to be helping me.. There were a few girls that helped me & they weren't very knowledgable about the lotions or beds. Glad I do not come here anymore!! If you live in Milton go to Desert Sun off 320th in Fed it's only 10min away or Seattle Sun Tan in Sumner also only 10min away! I only gave 1 star because I had to... read more

Im a brand new client of less than 3 months & already hit with an increase in my membership cost without any notice or explanation. Was told they cant do refunds. I will be cancelling my membership because of this! read more

I've been going here for a couple of weeks and the ladies are super nice but I'm not sure they know what they're talking about, I ordered a lotion on Monday and was told it would be in "in a couple of days" only to find out they don't even get shipments until Fridays. If I hadn't called to ask, I would have driven 20 minutes out of my way just to find out it wasn't in-store. 5 days for a lotion? Yikes! Should have gone elsewhere. Sorry ladies, you need to read up on your policies! read more

The front desk lady was nice ,helpful and awesome gotta great deal on a package I highly recommend this place and I love my tan

Clean salon, knowledgeable & genuinely sweet employees, wide variety of high end products, well maintained sunbeds and an awesome, customizable spray tan! Also, this Desert Sun location features the body wrap system which is absolutely amazing! Beyond that, prices and packages are very reasonable & affordable. I'm more than happy to be a member at Desert Sun! read more

Taylor was very patient and informative. She helped me get the best pricing for the type of tanning I wanted.

This site used to be my go to salon until I was told the wrong information in March about a package, was treated horribly by a young man that works there and ignored by management when I asked for a refund. I will never go back there. When you lie to sell a product and then are treated horribly when your money is not returned, you loose my business. I have filed a complaint with the BBB after over two months of attempted contact. This site is a joke. read more

This is a nice location with short waits for mystic spray tan. There's a limited selection of scents (I like warm vanilla), but the people are nice and it gets the job done. Like other locations with mystic machines, watch out for the puddles it leaves at the bottom which will really stain the bottom of your feet if you don't put on extra blocking lotion. read more

I started going to desert sun a little over a year ago and I love it. The staff is great and they always have great promotions. It's always nice to be tan, especially this time of year. read more

So now am back 2 hours later..still not open..nothing on the phone when calling..absolutely unprofessional...2 wasted trips to town..may have to switch salons...I can't tell you how frustrating it is when a business isn't open when they should be. This location has had a problem getting employees who want to get out of bed on Sat and Sun mornings..So frustrated that I've been sitting here since be for 9am and no one is here to opem. 3 other customers have come and gone..This is unacceptable. It is now 18 minutes past opening and still no sign of anyone who wants to work for a paycheck.. read more

Horrible experiences at this location! I have swore never to go back, but have about 3 times and they continue to disappoint. The girls at the front will sell you a package and claim the tans never expire, but after tanning for years I asked about 3 times if that was really true. After 3 people confirming this for me I reluctantly purchased tans. Later to find out when I went to use them they magically expired. At one point a girl from a visiting location looked at my account and told me I had lost 55+ medium level tans and 15+ supers. After complaining they always said they would add them back to my account, but after months of waiting that never happened. Total scam of a location! read more

Clean and friendly good deals on spray tan packages that never expire! Beds always clean and open

I have been tanning at Desert Sun for 5+ years & usually go to this location for convenience. The employees are friendly & very helpful if I have questions. The location is in need of an update. It's been the same all the years I have gone there, may be time for some fresh paint & new beds & decor but otherwise great experience here. read more

This is one of the many locations I tan and the girls are always friendly and I can always get right in! It's refreshing to almost never wait. The salon it's self could use a update but still 5 stars because of customer service read more

LOVE LOVE this location!!! Put my faith back in Desert Sun Salons! Mariah was awesome! Answered my questions, SUPER friendly, suggested two lotion packets, purchased them both!! Great suggestions! Clean salon, so happy I don't have to settled for poorly managed federal way locations!! read more

Nothing but account issues at this location! I was misled into purchasing an upgrade without being informed there was still a monthly fee in addition to the upgrade fee. The manager was rude, arrogant and provided Zero customer service to a loyal customer. He specifically stated bad reviews on social media does not hurt him in the least! They don't even provide towels!! Don't give your money to a business owner who is so cocky with no regard to their customers. read more

Store staff is nice but ill-informed and under trained. They will constantly try to get you to upgrade due to "specials" but can never explain to you how the upgrades work or the fees that will apply. Nobody ever answers the phone at this location despite the fact that every time I'm in the store they complain about how slow it is or are taking selfies. Cant cancel membership unless you go into the store even if you move out of state. Customer service doesn't help- they just recite policies to you that you were never informed of and insist that you signed the terms and conditions that you never signed- because once again staff is poorly trained. read more

LOVE IT HERE! They know my name, which beds I enjoy and they always recommend the perfect product for me. Travis and Kait are amazing, their staff is awesome! Best customer service from any Desert Sun I have been to. I refer all my family and friends here.....KEEP IT UP YOU GUYS! read more

As with most tanning salons, their products are very overpriced and the front desk people tend to up sell and mislead you. Their beds are decent. There are two Desert Sun's in Federal Way that are nicer/newer. read more
