Dishonest, liar and a scam. Dionicio and this business are a Scam! Ran away with our money. DO NOT EMPLOY! Let me start by saying this business and its owner Dio is a SCAMMER. Do not fall for his references like we did. Do not give him any advance upfront. His license is expired as of Sept 2025. We contracted Dio on June 18th 2025 for two bath renovation project at our home after a sincere referral. His appetite to extract money out of us became evident from the get-go. Once he gets the advance and does an incomplete demolition, he asks for 2nd installation. Reaching him on call or text was a pain thereafter. I ended up being the project manager/coordinator working with the labor, plumber, electrician, tiler etc. He lies through his teeth. he lies about pricing and will take extra money from you. For e.g., he asked $350 for a window worth $119 and when confronted would just laugh. Incompetent and insincere - forgets about original project plans and makes mistakes then asks for more money to repair those mistakes. Orders incorrect tiles, incorrect cabinets. (After 2.5 months of excuses, lies and fake tears Dio absconded with money without paying labor, electrician, tiler etc. I felt terrible for them as they were equally scammed. They quickly packed their tools and took off when they realized they were not going to see any money. THE AFTERMATH: 1. Lost money to Dio + lost money with suppliers: All the places where we had paid for material such as Cabinets, Tiles that exclusively work with contractors refused to release the material that WE PAID FOR with our credit card because Dio wasn't there for pick up. We lost thousands of dollars there. 2. Still incomplete project: We are still living this nightmare as any new person who we called for quote to finish the remaining work is also taking advantage of our situation and quoting ridiculous amount of money. We will need to take out loan to pay such amounts. 3. There is so much waste he left behind that we now need to pay to get rid of. Even more loss. 4. Not worth the stress: The constant stress working with Dio since day 1 is not worth saving a couple of thousand dollars. I ended up spending money at the doctors due to all the health woes that come with stress. The state laws do not support consumers and thus allows for such scammers to continue their nasty work. This experience has left our house in a mess and with both our baths incomplete we are at our wits end. We are rebuilding from this slowly and hindsight is 20-20. As we connect all the dots, Dionicio was always planning to take off with money. Each week we hear more homes around us that he took advance from and ran off. Each were significant projects, including leveling the ground, installing retaining walls, patio pavers, a wooden fence, a firepit and, his speciality, high-quality artificial turf/grass. Our outdoor space was transformed into a much more usable and inviting space which we now use nearly every day for relaxing or hosting guests. We receive so many compliments on the improvements Dio's team has made to our yard. There were some timing hiccups on these two projects, mostly explained by supply-chain and labor delays relating to the pandemic. One thing I can say about Dio is that he's always a phone call away. He's very responsive and cares deeply about ensuring that his clients receive the product they asked for. If we had it to do all over again, we'd choose Seattle Pro Turf in a second. We had our backyard upgrade (turf & patio install) project after repeatedly chasing Dionicio for over 5 months - frustratingly slow, unprofessional and irresponsible. The patio started to sink within 6months and I've been chasing Dionicio to come fix it for the last 1.5 years. after repeat promises, he never showed up to date. the patio is unsafe for kids and the expensive tiles are starting to crack up - so we barely use it. the promise of "warranty" is a joke with this company. do not go with them even if they promise a bargain - not worth it. Seattle Pro Turf's scope for my house was turf in a little side yard and some pavers for a small patio area. It was difficult to get scheduling info from Dio - I never knew when the team was going to show up, if they were actually going to show up on the date given, and they missed a number of communicated completion dates. This could have all been forgiven, but the quality of the work is also an issue. After install a number of lumpy spots showed up and Dio promised several times to come out to take a look but never did, despite multiple promises to do so. read more

An update to my 4/7/2023 review: Water Feature Front Manifold came loose from the pump. OK, I see where that can happen over time. I loosened the clamp, shoved it back onto the pump and retightened the hose clamp. But then I noticed 1 of the 3 columns was not putting out any water. Water is transmitted using flex pipe. Dio's "crew" did not have the correct diameter flex so they wrapped duct-tape around the pipe until they got the diameter they needed and then wedged the flex into the hole in the bottom of the water feature. Dio was responsive and made sure that all of our ideas were incorporated into the final project. His quote was much lower than some others we received, but the quality is superb. Condensed Review: Contract signed in March of 2022 with a start date of May 15, 2022 and an estimated completion date of June 30, 2022. Work started on April 15, 2022. Remove all existing landscaping: During removal, the crew severed our neighbor's underground phone and cable lines. Yes, all utilities were clearly marked. (We saved Seattle Pro Turf $18K in repair costs for which we never even received a thank you.) There is still landscaping here they tore up but never hauled away. Install new walkway with new pavers: Started, never completed. Damaged several driveway lights during the process, which did not get replaced. Walkway lighting: Gave Dio all the information needed to buy and install the lighting we wanted. He bought something entirely different. Had to hire another contractor to install what we wanted. Sprinkler system: He hired a sub-contractor whose work had to be redone. Artificial turf: Completed, but they left a partial roll of turf for us to deal with. New fence and gates: During construction the crew was told they were mounting the gates on the wrong posts. Never corrected and had to hire another contractor to fix all the mistakes. Water feature front: Completed and works properly. Water feature rear: Had to hire another contractor to tear apart and rebuild because of water leaks caused by faulty construction. Water bill quadrupled because of the leaks. Design and install new landscaping: Never happened because we no longer trusted SPT. Hired another landscaping company and are very satisfied. Like other people have stated, the crew would show up for 1-3 days and then disappear until we called or texted and complained. Very unresponsive. IF you are considering hiring Seattle Pro Turf here are my recommendations: 1) Make sure your quote is broken down into phases. 2) DO NOT PAY ANY AMOUNT DOWN WHEN YOU SIGN THE CONTRACT. 3) Only pre-pay 50% of each phase when the work ACTUALLY STARTS. 4) Upon completion of a phase, pay only 40% of the balance, retaining 10% until you are absolutely satisfied that each phase has been completed to your satisfaction; recommend waiting at least 3 months to see what may develop. There are other issues which we are holding back on pending legal action. read more

I wish I could agree with most of the positive reviews here but unfortunately we had a terrible experience working with Dio and his team. I'm not sure why his work ethics seemed to decline so much compare to the positive reviews. We first started our project to build a retaining wall in our front yard and to install turf and arborvitae trees around the house in summer 2021. It was a fairly small and straightforward project and the estimated time to finish was a couple weeks. Everything started smoothly and was going according to plan for a week or so and his team finished about 50% of the work. Then suddenly they just stopped showing up. We would call Dio and he always promised to be here the next day but rarely made any appearance. This went on for MONTHS till it was a year after we signed the contract with him and the work was still not finished and he started to just ignore our calls. We eventually had to notify him that we would file a bond claim against him if he didn't finish the project to finally hear back from him. Till this day, 1 year and 6 month after we signed the contract, he still hasn't completely finish the project and left one of sprinklers broken. We decided that we didn't have the energy or time to pursue it further. Based on our experience, do not take Dio for his words. If you still decide to work with him, make sure you document everything in writing. Working with him has caused us so much frustration and disappointment. Concur with all of the negative reviews , Dio is very unreliable after the first install so all the follow ups and warranty issues are a big hassle to deal with him/his team. Dio does not respond to text/call promptly and if he ever does, always gives a false timeline and never actually follows through to fix the issue. If I could give Dio and team 6 stars, I would. They were so great to work with and worked so hard to completely transform our backyard, beyond what I thought was possible. We had a big project, and even unforeseen surprises along the way (like buried tree trunks) and Dio was just so incredibly helpful and understanding. He listened to our every need and completely exceed expectations. He was so patient when I wanted to change/add/modify things and just overall raised the bar on quality. Five years ago this spring we had SPT out to install pavers and artificial turf in our back yard. Two years ago we and several of our neighbors who also used SPT for their turf and paving needs began to have trouble with the seams of our turf. Dio's crew worked on our yard project installing artificial grass, new fences and gates, making raised garden beds with retaining walls, and etc. The work was 'completed' back in May but I waited until now to post review because there are some unfinished portion of the job that I've been trying to get them to come back for. The actual work was at least 4 stars worth, but I am giving only 3 stars because they basically disappeared after they received the final payment. They worked on my water lines for the new garden beds which we found out doesn't work and there are some missing trims on my fences. I contacted Dio couple of times about it, but I haven't received any response. I wish my husband hadn't paid the final payment before I noticed the issues (I was out of town when work was completed) but we didn't expect him to just stop responding like this. He was very prompt to get back to us for estimates and to get the business, so it's very disappointing he stopped responding after he got his money. read more

His crew did a great work installing 800sqr ft turf. Then why only 3 stars? Let me explain. Dio was very active communicator when I asked for an estimate. He was very responsive and was on time to my appointment for free estimate. Also he provided competitive pricing for the work which no other providers were able to match or not even came close. However, he can only start the work after 3.5 months wait, but I thought it will be worth the wait. I wish he could accept credit cards for my payment, but he insisted that he only take cash or check. I asked if he can take credit cards and offered to pay for 3% fee, but he insisted he won't. I don't know about Landscaping industry, but other contractors are welcome to accept CC. It does not give consumers protection when things goes wrong with cash deposit... Fast forward, I wanted to understand when he can come to start the work since it's been 3 months. I sent emails multiple times over 2 weeks including SMS, and left VM. There is no call back or emails. He finally responded and apologized that this is not how he runs his business. I understand it is peak season and busy for sure, but ignoring a paid customer inquiries for 2 weeks are not acceptable for business. Since he has my significant deposit as a hostage, I accepted his apology. A week before the actual work start date, I again tried to connect with Dio. Again, he did not respond to my inquiries. I finally got hold of him on the phone and asked him to call me a day before to confirm the schedule. Well, he did not call me a day before and did not even show up to work on the day he should start the work. He did not inform me he won't be here, but I had to call him to find out. As other reviewers said, he must have dysfunctional truck and told me that his truck broke down. Sure things like that happen. The next day his crew came and start the work, but the following day, they did not show up. So I called him again and asked him what's going on. He said that his work truck broke down. Again??? How can he run his business with unreliable work asset that breaks so often? I don't buy this excuse. I asked him explicitly he needs to be proactive on communication if there is a delay. Anyway, he promised me his crew will come next day. Well, again his crew did not come, and I had to call him to find this out. Then he promised his crew will be here on Sat. Saturday came, but no sign of his crew. Of course Dio did not call to let me know, and I had to call him to find out that his crews don't work weekends. WTF!!!! He is the one promised me that his crew will be here. He apologized and offered a small discount. Sure, I'll take it, and he assured me that his crew will be here on Monday morning to complete installation. They did come around 11am but left at 4pm and did not complete installation. I called him again, and he assumed me that his crews come Tuesday. They came and finished on Tuesday. Even though his crews did a great work, I did not appreciate Dio's work ethics and business practice at all. It was too much churn for me. Thanks for reading my long review. read more

I contracted Seattle Pro Turf to install ~900sq ft of turf and install a 6' high x 12' wide section of fence with a gate. This is going to be a dog run for our two pooches. When the work was completed, everything was done very well with quality product. The fence is solid and matches what I already had, and the turf looks fantastic. It drains well and the dogs live it. The feel of turf is great even with bare feet. The only reason I took a star off was the multiple delays to get the job complete. We were told twice the crew had problems with their truck, and another the turf was delayed from the distributor. Each time the job was delayed at least a day or more. They always called me back when I inquiried about why they didn't show, and the end, they did a great job. It just wasn't done in the time that met the original schedule. I would use them again with the understanding that it would likely be difficult for them keep their schedule. read more
