The Kraken

Another great dining option in the neighborhood! Ordering is really convenient, and quick via the website. My husband ordered the Kraken he really enjoyed his meal, additional fries were added to the order. The customer service was great, and overall atmosphere of the restaurant was really nice. He will definitely order again, and recommends!

Had to go w a middle of the road rating. We ordered the "kraken" sandwiches. The food is tasty but the way my "spicy" lamb shawarma came, it wasn't spicy nor was it edible as a gyro. Too much sauce. Extremely messy upon unwrapping. And wasn't wrapped properly so had to eat it w a fork and knife and really didn't get to enjoy it w the soft pita because it was soggggyyyyy. I know, i know, your gonna say the description does say extra everything but there's extra and EXTRA & it's still a gyro and i should be able to use my hands and not have it oozing out of the wrap. I think I'd also skip the fries inside too. Husband and daughter had the classic gyros. Baklava was fair. Not great not bad. A little dry. I've had lots of baklava & made by Greeks in my life so I have a good baseline. If ur hungry and want a quick fix then this place will do. I'd skip the kraken and go for a traditional gyro if what you want is more of a hand held sandwich experience. Moderately price and good portion too. Note: we did Uber eats so no comments re: ambiance, service or their local restaurant experience.

This place is SO good! The food is fresh and tasty, the staff is attentive and polite, and the eating area is comfortable and relaxed. Would definitely come every time we are in town!

I knew when we walked in and saw many tables filled with Muslim families that we would not be disappointed. The ambiance of the dining area is simple but comfortable and although there were other people eating, we had not problem finding a table and enjoying conversation. The young woman that took our order at the counter was very friendly, patient, and helpful. Was glad to make suggestions and answer any questions we had. The food came out quickly, was fresh, and there was a lot of it! Felt that we got a lot of food for the price compared to other shawarma restaurants we've eaten at like Aleppo. We can eat a lot but we had plenty of leftovers to take home. Everything is Halal too which is a bonus.

My friends and I made a plan to go to this restaurant prior to actually showing up. We were prepared for some amazing grub. Boy howdy, we weren't disappointed. The service was amazing, and the food -- well, hang onto your shorts, because we're going on a culinary journey! I ordered a regular gyro with all the fixin's, and all I can say is WOW! Stellar pita, (I like em squishy!) And the tzatziki was on point, and the meat was amazing! So yummy. But, I think the fries deserve mention. Nice and crisp and the perfectly accompanied by amazing tzatziki. Flavors were incredibly balanced and oh so dreamy. I definitely want to eat here again. You should, too.

High-quality meat and excellent service. For those unsure of what or how much to order, this review…read moreshould help. For a group of four adults with a normal hungry, we ordered a small beef set and fried chicken, which was plenty. The banchan was fantastic, especially the Myungranjut. The meat quality was outstanding for a K-BBQ place, and the service was superb. Our server proactively replaced the grill grate to make sure no burnt bits remained! The vibe is casual enough but can be also formal enough for a date. Needless to say, I left a very generous tip.

Steamed eggs came out looking amazing (haven't seen it like this before) but was on the dry side; to each their own but we like it more brothy like Chicken wings were ok not great... the dish I didn't expect much from was the fried rice but it turned out to be the best dish!! Not because it's just "better than the other dishes" but it was truly amazing, it just had a great taste to it! Soup was yummy too and came with clear noodles Proportions are to the smaller size making prices a bit high but banchans were refilled quickly. Recommend because their food had its own special taste/ dishes that you will remeber it by. Was a fun place to eat and staff was friendly!

Dijah's Kitchen in Lynnwood is our fourth West African restaurant. We continue to enjoy this…read moreregion's seasonings and flavors and find tonight's food delicious and enjoyable. By now, we are minor 'pros' and know to bring some patience to West African restaurants. Entrees generally take about 30 minutes. To fill the gap, we order an appetizer. Service was "shy". The server approached cautiously always with a big smile. English was good enough but don't expect deep detail replies. Luckily, we are familiar with the food. The restaurant is modest in décor and narrow in shape. A cluster of tables in the back can sit a large group. The Food: Shrimp Pies, $8.99 - 5 Stars This is the only restaurant out of four that offers a shrimp version of the meat pie. Perfectly fried, these were really good! The server said this is his favorite amongst the pies. Lamb Dibi, $21.99 - 4.5 Stars Well-seasoned lamb pieces are well grilled. It comes with a choice of starch; the plantain was great. A surprising delight is the dressing on the onions. Yummy. Grilled Branzino, $25 - 4.5 Stars Not for the faint of heart, this is a whole fish grilled. Honestly, I think the rest of world eats whole fish while US and Canada eat filets only. They made sure to give us the two inches of tail that had broken off. I have to admit I was amused. Perfectly cooked, hubby picked this fish clean. The sweet potato fries are also very good. Jollof Rice with Chicken, $18 - 5 Stars Ever since I learned jollof rice is every family's own recipe from our first W. African restaurant, I have ordered it from all others to try each variant. The Dijah version has a good chewy rice that is superbly well seasoned. The chicken is also very well prepared and flavored. Theirs might be my new favorite. I ordered it to go and sampled a bit at the restaurant. The 5 Stars overall rating is focused on the food. Don't expect fine dining 'ambiance'.
