A well-known breakdown service would not agree to collect my car from a garage and bring it home…read morewhen the garage said my car was not worth repairing due to the cost. I had agreed to pay a £150 charge, which had been mentioned by another agent of the same company. My contract with them only included from breakdown to the garage, not from the garage to my home. I phoned others who couldn't do it. I was desperate. A neighbourhood website posted 'Gary's Autos'. I read the reviews... they seemed too good to be true, but I have to tell you, they were all true! Gary is an absolute gem of a bloke. When I phoned Gary, he was stuck in a traffic jam up near Hull and had been driving for at least 5 hours. That wasn't a problem for him. He'd phone me when he got back to Westerham, just south of the M25. Next day he collected my car from the garage and brought it home, cheaper than the other company I mentioned. Brilliant service! Put his contact number in your phone. You never know when you might need first rate assistance!

When my daughter's car failed its MOT test recently, I was referred to this mobile repair service…read moreas being someone who might be able to help sort out the problem at short notice. I therefore contacted the proprietor, Tony, who said he would fit in a visit that same day. This he did and he even telephoned when he realised that he had been a little too optimistic with his estimated time of arrival. This alone gets him half way to a good review! He checked over the car and used a diagnostic computer to confirm the fault before arranging to order the part and call back in a couple of days to complete the job. He arrived on time, completed the work within the timescale and cost estimated and the car passed its re-test the same day. Brilliant! I have some other jobs which need doing on our vehicles and so I have already decided to call on Tony over the coming weeks. If you need a good car repairer who comes out to your home and saves you both money and the hassle of having to take your car in to the dealer, why not give him a try!

Tom diagnosed the problem, phoned me with several updates throughout the time I had my car with him and informed me on parts to replace before going ahead with the work. Now I have a new complete clutch assembly, including clutch fork, upper & lower clutch fork bushes, clutch fork repair kit, release bearing guide bush and clutch cable installed. For those who know about French cars these types of jobs are not for the faint hearted, but this was nothing new for the wonder boy genius Tom! I highly recommend TJB's quality of service, workmanship, knowledge, customer satisfaction and most importantly the competitive pricing strategy(note: Peugeot Dealers would have ripped my right arm for a job like this). Thanks for all your help Tom!

My cars rather too old now to be paying top dollar at a BMW dealership so when I started using these guys I was really pleased. They are really friendly way cheaper than BMW and even Halfords (just had to get my brakes fixed as apparently running over little old ladies is frowned upon). They even have a car washing service that is great value for money if like me you're too lazy to do it yourself. They don't just service BMW's so whatever car you have they can help and they've been there for years, so they aren't some fly by night dodgy mechanic. Big thumbs up.

Having moved many times over the last five years, finding a garage to service your vehicles is…read morealways a difficult challenge. Canons Park Motors makes this move easier. I located them via the web without a recommendation, which can always be a bit dicey. They are conveniently located directly outside the Canons Park Underground Station so that you can leave your car and use public transport. I had a fuel line repaired and new rears brakes, discs and calipers installed. Though with any auto repair it is never cheap I felt they were fair and honest with me. They did not try to overservice my car either, as it is now 14 years old. Finally, when I go home I realized the repair on the fuel line had not quite worked. While I was disappointed at the results, they responded without hassle when I took it back the next day. They fixed their mistake and it has worked properly since.

I needed some bodywork repairs and was initially recommended to another repairer, who quoted a total cost of £1,100 and said that I would need to leave the car for five days. I approached Canons Park Motors, which told me that some of the work I had been quoted for was unnecessary and the job could be done in three days for £568. The staff could not have been more helpful and when I arrived to collect the car it looked good as new and was being given a free wash & vac. When I asked about charges for a full service and MOT, I was told it would probably cost no more than £270, including all materials and tax very different from the alleged £400 claimed by mhenry2010.
