Worst doctor experience ever! The medical assistant was nice, but the Ob I saw was verbally…read moreabrasive( in front of my young child). She even was irritated that because i have medical conditions that require medication that i was having a planned pregnancy. They didn't even have non latex gloves, which the doctor immediately made it my fault because they were ill prepared for my emergency. After this horrible experience I got my records and went else where.

When I went back for an appointment after my delivery they said I didn't make an appointment even though I had a card with my appointment date and time. Even during my delivery my delivering doctor got impatient and decided to do an episiotomy when it wasn't necessary instead of oh, I don't know.. Using lube?! I started going there during my second pregnancy in 2014 and the same thing, when I got really sick and dehydrated they made an appointment time for me to go to the Washington hospital to receive fluids because it was getting bad. Well, the nurse in the office seemed to forget to send the scripts that morning, the hospital called 3 times and they said they'd fax them.. Never did. The office closed and the staff got ahold of a doctor in the hospital who gave them the back room number for the ob office and they got ahold of them and FINALLY got the scripts almost 2 hours later! I would not recommend to anybody. I transferred to Dr. Bulseco and associates in McMurtry and went to St. Clair for my second after that. Amazing group of doctors there though.

My pcp told me to see a gyne for a problem. I waited an hour in the waiting room for dr harvison…read more During the appointment I told dr Harvison that my pcp reviewed an ultrasound, then had me get a second ultrasound and told me to see a gyne. Unfortunately the 2nd results weren't ready for my appointment with dr. Harvison. Dr. Harvison dismissed everything I had to say. She did not do an exam. I told her previous tests showed that the problem wasn't going away. She dismissed my concern. She basically told me that because of my age (63) that I shouldn't worry about it. She said she would call me after she reviewed the most recent results. Fortunately I found another gyne who listened to me, reviewed the ultra sounds, did an exam and discussed treatments for the problem. It seems dr harvison and advanced women's care can send texts, emails and bills for the copay but can not call with test results or bother to do an exam. I will not be back to dr. Harvison or adanced women's care.

She started the appointment with reviewing details from out last appointment and for some reason started to focus on my mental health. Asking me questions about my mental health status and treatment. The questions became more and more invasive, but I continued answering because she's my doctor and I'm lying on the table naked and vulnerable. She asked why I was burned out after I told her I had discussed it with my therapist. And when I told her because of everything happening in my life. She kind of blew that off. The interrogation continued and she finally got to saying "I find the best way to deal with mental health is physical exercise." I yelled stop and told her I was done with the questioning and to please finish my exam. She replied with "I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset you." I asked her if she suffered from Depression and Anxiety. She said no. And I told her I was beyond all of the hot takes from people who don't understand. As she is now doing my exam. she proceeds to tell me "My brother in law is a therapist and he sends me all of the latest research that I study." I then told her that knowledge does not equal experience. I was so very upset and uncomfortable at that point I was in tears. Finally, the exam was over and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I decided I would never come back. But now 2 weeks later and I'm still thinking about that interaction. I feel like she was taking advantage of my vulnerability to "upsell" me on either her, or her brother in law's mental health advice. While I will never see her again, I just want to make sure this experience is noted so that others who possibly feel the same way know they are not alone.
