I discovered Seasons Massage on my birthday 2 years ago when I was pregnant with my first child. It was my first massage EVER and I was going on a whim based on my Google search. WOW, I am so glad I found Seasons Massage and will never go to another massage therapist. Wendy is so conversational, but also sensitive to being silent if that's what her clients desire. She is skilled in many forms of massage, I have experienced two now, pregnancy massage and her signature massage after my son was born. I have loved every minute of the massages I have had here and felt so relaxed afterward. I plan to go back to Wendy whenever I need a massage. I was so satisfied with her service that I bought a gift card for a friend for her birthday and she has since gone back to Wendy after her initial time! I could not recommend Seasons Massage higher. Love this business and love this lady! read more

We are a Massage Therapy Studio specializing in Stress Reduction & Pain Relief in Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas. We LOVE people just the way they are and understand that everybody is in a specific "Season" of their life and wellness journey. Our mission is to meet people where they are in whatever season they are in. We formulate a specific plan keeping the client's goals with relaxation as the focus of our work. We use a variety of techniques and unique modalities to achieve "Result focused Relaxation". We work by appointment only and provide the following services: - Restorative Massage - Prenatal Massage - Hot Stone Massage - Ashiatsu Massage - Massage Cupping

Established in 2013.

After several years practicing massage therapy for other spas, Wendy began to be inspired with her own vision of what the perfect practice would look like. With a vision and defined purpose to produce Relaxation with Results, Seasons Massage Therapy LLC was born.

Meet the Business Owner: Wendy D.

Wendy Duchesneau is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She graduated from Carlson College of Massage Therapy at the top of her class in 2009. Upon graduating and receiving her massage licensed from the state of Iowa, she jumped in feet first and opened her practice inside Advanced Hair Technologies. After a year on her own, she moved on to become part of the prestigious group practice Hands in Harmony. While practicing at Hands in Harmony she gained experience and refined her skill in Swedish, Deep Tissue and Aromatherapy while performing massages on the population of Cedar Rapids and surrounding areas. She also learned Ashiatsu, Hot and Cold Stone therapy and orthopedic massage and Shirodhara. After a 2 year stay with Hands in Harmony, Wendy moved her practice to Innovative Aesthetics Medical Spa in 2011, furthering expanding her skillset into Prenatal and Postpartum Massage. Wendy began to be inspired by the vision of her dream practice and began Seasons Massage Therapy in 2013

In addition to teaching in their classroom space, my students used several of the healing rooms. Each was nicely furnished with a soothing color painted on the walls. Lovely relaxing music wafts throughout the center, and the students found that during their practice sessions they were able to deeply relax in the very nurturing environment. They also have a nice gift shop where customers can select from an array of healing crystals, aromatherapy oils, healing jewelry and more. The entire center was very clean, and quiet. I was on a very tight travel schedule and unfortunately I was unable to personally schedule a massage. However, I heard several very satisfied customers exclaim that their massage was "the Best ever!" If I am in the area again, I will be sure to schedule time for a massage.

I was referred by a friend and the massage was gifted to me. I really just needed to relax after some stress. I had a very stressful job where I was constantly on my feet at work, walking about 7-10 miles a day. I had a lot of tension built up. The office was very clean and relaxing. Wendy met with me on time and was very professional. She asked about my concerns, what I was and wasn't comfortable with, and even got me a fitting pillow to make me more comfortable. The "restorative massage" was an hour long and felt amazing! I'd never had a woman be so strong and get to the places I never even knew needed touched and massaged! She asked and tested her strength, and we chatted a bit but she also knew when to be quiet. I've had massages where I'd have to ask to be less pressure or more pressure, sometimes just putting up with the pressure because they simply weren't capable - but Wendy was and I didn't have to tell her more than once. She worked my hard spots and was conscience of my insecure spots (my feet). She gave me time to lay for as long as I wanted, gave me water and had a pleasant conversation afterwards. The mood music and the lighting were perfect for the massage. I've been interested in going back to her to try for the first time "hot stone massage" and the "ashiatsu massage" I'm trying to get over my problem with feet...
