Rented unit 1304 in shipyard condo we paid almost 2k for for 5 nights. The beds feel like they have not never been replaced, you can feel the springs underneath they make so much noise when moving, I mean all it takes is maybe 300 a bed from Amazon and this wouldn't be a problem. The couch feels about the same age and is really uncomfortable specifically in the middle. The wifi did not work as they had the wrong name and password, the outside light does not work, the showers are super slippery, and you can see rust stains from around the handle. We ended up having to drive to Walmart to buy an air mattress for my daughter to sleep on. I asked if I could check out early and only pay for used nights and I would go book somewhere else and they said no. They did not disclose the condition of the room, if they would I have, I would not have booked. I will contact my credit card company and see if they can help remedy the situation. read more

If I could rate this company zero stars, that would still be too many. The rental was terrible, dangerous, unfit, not as described. The staff at SeaShore was contacted multiple times, and responded with nothing but excuses. The only response they do provide is attacking the customer/renter for problems solely created by SeaShore and blaming the customer for having the audacity to complain after paying a great deal of money. They provided no compensation whatsoever for the numerous problems. This company should not be in the rental business, and should not be allowed to treat customers they way they do. read more

This was one of the worst experiences of my life. In 2019 one of the condos we rented at St.Regis said newly remodled but it was a mess. A broken bed, moldy shower curtain, broken dish washer and generally dirty. We complained and it was partially fixed. In 2021 I tried to rent a 3 bedroom at St. Regis. They wouldn't answer my calls or emails. I got very frustrated .Finally they said they wouldn't rent to us because of 2019. They waited 4 days to tell us this and then we couldn't find another property. They ruined our vacation. read more

Do not use, esp through VrBO. septic tank flooded on 4th night of our one week stay. We informed them and curtailed personal grooming, laundry, water use to try to help. The stench was horrible on this beach house deck. They did nothing, no apology, no repair, no discount nothing. read more

We just got back from a trip to topsail. We rented through this company. They were awful with communication. The place had rats and ants all over the outside. The septic tank was backed up. It smelled awful. Then the last day they came to fix the grinder pump and said don't use water. We left a day early. This is not a good company to rent from. They do not look out for you. read more

Complete rip-off. Unit was filthy. Every day something broke. Respond with excuses, not repairs. Turned in parking pass to a staff person at checkout. Filthy rental. Horrible customer service. Made absolutely ludicrous allegations about why we did not stay at a property that hadn't been cleaned, based off their own error, which they later admitted, saying they didn't see my packet in the photo because it had my last name first. They said we checked in hours before we actually did & that we must have changed our minds about Topsail. In reality, we checked in after 9pm, put our luggage in quickly & immediately went to get something to eat, before everything closed. We did not return back to the rental, until after 10:30pm, at which time we were locked out & I made contact via all the means I knew how (voicemail and Facebook, which I previously used to communicate with them). I have pictures & videos (I've attached just a few below) showing how dirty the place was, and was told "these properties are individually owned vacation rental properties, not a hotel". We had to find a hotel to stay in & drove 2 hours because everything local was booked (yes, I had a travel agent calling every hotel in the area for me because I was driving at night, in an unknown place, with my 2 kids). The next morning, I received a call back, but was told no one could help me on the weekend but a manager would contact me on Monday . I sent an email, thinking maybe someone would see it, as I didn't know what else to do & was without a place to stay. Fortunately, I got a response and was told by the manager Donna, that I could dispute with my credit card company or wait until the funds hit their account and they would refund me. I agreed to wait & then booked another property for the week, since she told me I was being refunded. Of course once the money cleared the next day, I received another email from her, saying I wasn't receiving the full refund. Amongst the managers (Donna Smith) many demeaning & inaccurate assumptions, she said something about it seemed "off" because I booked last minute through Facebook (I had seen a post advertising one of their rental properties & a last minute deal). What she didn't know, was that our last minute vacation was due to having to reschedule our previously scheduled summer vacation because of 2 deaths in our immediate family, having to reschedule around my varying shift as a provider in an emergency department & also finding arrangements for toddler twin nephews, who I have custody of. But it was very clear, in Donna's email & on the phone, that this company lacks any understanding or empathy. Regardless of when I booked or what my situation was, I deserved a clean rental property & better customer service. This was suppose to be a special time to spend with my 2 boys, before they went back to school, but started out as a nightmare because of Seashore Realty! Grateful for another VRBO owner, who helped salvage our vacation, providing a clean rental & treated us like humans! read more

We wanted to change our vacation rental upon check in and their staff - particularly Donna and Casey went out of their way to show us other properties and ensure we were happy and comfortable on our vacation. As noted in other posts, very unprofessional personnel and company. Kathy? Never reached her. Donna, who works in office, very rude as if the poorly maintained unit we rented was our fault. Burners on stove sparked and then didn't work at all, frig never really got cold, AC barely cooled lowest floor and unbearable at upper two floors. Loft unit very old and did not work at all, small window unit ran constantly and still did not cool the loft. These people seem to have forgotten that the only reason they have a job is thanks to renters. No 24/7 maintenance team is a sign of a failing company and the need to pitch pennies. Going back to Treasure Realty for next year. Never had such a poor experience in 23 years coming to NTI. read more

I have been working with Don Pekofsky for nearly two-years trying to sell a property for my mother-in-law. During that time, Don did his job. Nothing spectacular but he did his job and nothing more or less. Like in marriage, you learn about who you married when you divorce them! I learned about Don when it came to getting the deal closed. In an effort to close the deal, I solved a situation by spending nearly $5,000 and by the way, I get know money from the closing. I did this because it was the right thing to do and the buyer was right in their request. Nobody else stepped up, just me. A day before the closing, another minor topic came up and I asked Don if he and the other realtor would spend $500 each from the $29,500 commission they were receiving and he had the audacity to tell me I was "strong holding" him. I was stunned. Without me the deal would not be closed and all he had to do was resolve a simple issue by reducing his commission by $500, which was also shared by the Seashore Realty. I am strong holding him?? At the end of the day, Don and Team do not care about you at all. They only care about their commission and own self interest. It was a disgusting act of professionalism and I would not recommend Don or the Seashore Realty Group either because it starts with leadership. Do not think for a minute they care about you. Their true colors come out when it is time to get paid. You mean nothing to them. My family owns a real estate company and I have seen my parents and brother bend over backwards to ensure their clients have a great experience. Not with Don and Seashore Realty Group. If you long term rent from seashore, be aware that they fully intend to charge you for a "deep cleaning" that costs $300+ upon move out. Doesn't matter if you've cleaned the home or not. Doesn't matter what condition the home was in when you moved in either. Prepare yourself for multiple months of waiting with regards to service calls. I had to contact the homeowner themselves to get action out of Charles and his team. BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. You'll note there's only a single review posted that was positive. I can almost guarantee that it was posted by someone who works for, or worked with seashore. If you short term rent from seashore, be prepared for the same shenanigans. There are several actual REPUTABLE real estate companies on the island. Use one of them for your rental. If you MUST use seashore, VIDEO DOCUMENT everything, including move in conditions, any and all problems, and have them rectify IMMEDIATELY. You will be expected to render the home back to them as if it were professionally cleaned, regardless of move in status. I can't state this enough. BEWARE of this company. read more

Worst real estate agent ever! Jason Hyde made our buying experience absolutely horrible! We were purchasing a home and he was the sellers agent. My entire life I have moved every two yrs approx. My husband and I finally decided to find somewhere we wanted to move and stay. We were very excited for our purchase and from day 1 we knew something wasnt right. When we were submitting an offer he didnt even have the basic paperwork to have a house listed, to show any known issues. This is basic-I have always had to have this paperwork filled out before selling a home. We should have known and walked away then. We just loved the home though, but through the process Jason didnt answer ONE SINGLE QUESTION WE ASKED! They were basic questions, wheres the mailbox located (we couldn't find it anywhere), if the AC unit was installed 6month ago who installed it since in case anything happens it should have a 1yr warranty. He said it was his sellers and they couldnt handle but one question at a time. This was ridiculous, he never responded to any of our questions. We had to push back DD because of HIM for 2 weeks! Everything was lacking on his part, we would sign our paperwork quickly it would take a week at least for basic stuff to get signed. Even then he didnt do it right. I would not recommend at all. Buying or selling a house can be stressful, it should be exciting. He made this the worst house purchase ever! read more

Seashore realty and it's manager are completely untrustworthy and unprofessional. Because they did not inspect and clean the property that we stayed in in june 2018, a LOADED GUN was found in my 9 year old sons bedroom. They tried to give us some cheap gift certificates but after we returned them they said that they would be giving us a 10 % discount. When we arrived back home they were extremely rude and said they will give us NOTHING and we need to contact their lawyer. DO NO RENT FROM THEM! read more

Potential Clients & Renters BEWARE!! Rented an oceanfront 4BR duplex during spring break/Easter for $1,780+ for a week. Informed Donna Smith, Realtor - Property Mgr, that our HVAC was not working within an hour of checking in. The unit was a over 80 degrees. She told us that she walked through at 2pm and the HVAC was working fine. She said that if she called an HVAC contractor, and the unit was functioning properly, that WE would be billed for the HVAC holiday service call. Seriously?! She even had the nerve to suggest that we would have to deal with it; because that is what we would do, as a homeowner, if it happened to our personal home. Unbelievable! We decided to try to make do with the situation. When temperatures soared four days later, we told Donna that it was too hot; and keeping the doors & windows open at all times wasn't working. She finally sent out a HVAC contractor. The contractor was there for less than ten minutes and said that the entire unit hadn't been working for quite some time. He said that it was going need a full replacement - inside & outside. Long story short, Donna Smith wanted to replace the entire unit during our last two days of vacation. Can you imagine the dust, debris, dismantling of rooms, limited access to the unit, no access to our oceanfront room/deck, loss of power during removal & installation, contractor noise, and then having to stay in the unit to ensure the safekeeping of our belongings for our last two days of OUR vacation?! (Forgot to mention that the unit next door was undergoing a major renovation starting at 7:30am daily) When we told Donna that she would need to wait for us to leave to start the replacement, she complained and said we ruined her schedule. She said WE were being unreasonable. We were so upset by her lack of empathy, accusatory behavior, and lack of professionalism, that we drove to her office and spoke face-to-face with the Broker-in-Charge, Jason Hyde, and sent an email the following morning. No response. Upon check out today, Donna Smith was there. She said she was sorry we didn't have a good vacation, with a smile. That's it. Really?! She is the most unprofessional, rude, passive aggressive, and condescending person. True, we didn't get the vacation at 3944 Island Drive we anticipated because we paid for a for a quiet, cool, relaxing vacation. What we end up with was a hot sweltering vacation with hammers banging, saws grinding, and a very rude, unprofessional Realtor. When we reached out for help from management, we didn't get even an email or call back. We were just looking for some understanding and a sincere apology for the way we were poorly treated. Nothing more. Oh well...We made the best of it; and we didn't let Seashore Realty & Donna Smith ruin our family vacation. My parents booked a rental home through this company for this past week. Due to a mix up at the bank, payment for the rental did not arrive in the agreed upon time. My parents received no contact from the company until another family wanted to book the home. Instead of telling my parents another family was interested and finding out what happened with my parents' payment, the company rented the place to the other family and then called my parents to tell them their reservation was cancelled. Funny enough, the day they called was the same day they said they finally received the payment. Hmmm. Anyway, while I understand the company's need to make money, it would have been the courteous thing to call my parents when the payment didn't arrive in the agreed upon time and let them know if the payment didn't arrive immediately, they would lose their reservation. Too bad for this company, though, my parents ended up finding a rental home through another company AND have already secured the home through that company for next year. Seashore Realty, common courtesy goes a long way. Let that be a lesson to you in the future. read more

Multiple probz all week with a/c, pool, hot tub. Talked to Greg Isenhour and he got defensive and laid all blame on us. Never admitted any fault. We had a clean pool and hot tub 2 days of 7. Our house remained at 77 degrees most of the week. Paid almost 5,000 dollars and got better treatment at the hotel we stayed in on the way down to Topsail Island. Greg Isenhour was condescending and rude and told us that the A/C probz were our fault even tho the ac company said it was a problem with the outdoor unit not the temp setting. He never offered any refund due to problems. We selected this house for the pool hot tub and of course ac. Will never rent agin from these people and encourage you to stay away from them also. read more

We booked a 10 day stay with SeaShore Realty Group at St. Regis on the North end of Topsail Island in May. We had such a wonderful time that the trip turned into a 3 week excursion. The cool thing was when we decided at the 10 day mark to stay for 2 weeks, Kathy was very accommodating and gave us the weekly rate for the second week saving us some money. The condo we stayed in for the first 2 weeks was not available for the third week, Kathy again came through with some other options and even offered us a discount to book a third week. I found the condo next to ours was available through another company and ended up booking with them. We felt bad about not booking the 3rd week with her but it just came down to logistics as we were able to move our stuff from our condo right next door. We went down and told Kathy what had transpired and she was just so happy for us being able to stay another week even though it wasn't SeaShore's rental. I will say this, her customer service was excellent, the accommodations and amenities were more than we expected and St. Regis as a whole is just a wonderful place to enjoy a laid back vacation with a wonderful beach to find shells and shark's teeth . It was bar none the best beach vacation we've ever had. Thank you Kathy from SeaShore Realty, St. Regis maintenance guys, Michael, Fred and Steven, we spoke with you guys almost daily. I helped you guys with the volleyball net and we shared a few stories. We will see all of you folks again and thanks for making us feel like family. read more
