If you like waiting on the phone for hours to talk to a representative because your points disappeared from your account when you tried to claim them, this is the travel agency for you! After trying to get to the right person on my 4th attempt, I had to listen to a sales pitch about "a new deal"! REALLY!!! And when I was transferred to the booking department they couldn't help me and said they will call me back in 30 minutes. I'm not expecting anyone to call me back. This is probably standard practice for this company. Shame on you, Sears. read more

These are the same people running International Cruise and Excursions, otherwise known as ICE. They got a contract to sell Sears leads. Be careful. I say this because they do not run background checks on any employees and have a huge turnover. Anyone you give your credit card number to is not necessarily someone who you should be giving it to just because they claim to be from Sears. They also lie to get the conversion, or sale. My sister and I were screwed out of our vacation due to the mess they caused, trying to tell us we would be better off with their promotion. When I tried to call back to complain I was passed around. Basically we lost out and are complaining to the BBB. read more

We decided to attend Sears vacations presentation when our friends told us about them. The presentation was very nice and we were very close to purchasing the membership at the same time. However, we had some questions in our mind about the reliability of the big promises Sears was making especially because the amount we were about to pay was so big ($5k). The executive who was assisting was very polite and nice, however, since he was pretty new there he wanted his Director of Memberships to guide us so we are convinced. The Director of Memberships names Nicholas was so rude to us. When I asked about the installment plan and inquired if I can stop making payments if I don't get what I pay for, he said - "If you can't afford it, don't buy it". Then he continued saying , "Don't buy if you don't travel". I was shocked. We were there because we could afford it, it's just that I wanted them to convince us and that is what marketing is. When I asked him if I can get couple of days to think, he advised that the deal and free gift is for that day only so he will charge our card for the full amount (to hold the deal for us) and said they will credit us back in 3 days if we decide not to go for it. When I said, I don't want to hold this big amount on my card and I need only 2 days to think, he got annoyed, picked up everything and left without answering our questions. Then he sent his junior (who was assisting us before and was polite) to give us our free gift and leave. We felt so insulted. He is so called Director of Memberships and full of attitude. His junior noticed the behavior and apologized. However, I am not even thinking about getting the membership anymore. If they are treating the customers like this before becoming a member, what would they do afterwards ? Pathetic. read more

I have been a member since 2014. I don't know about all this negative reports but my experience has been great. We sign up and we got like 5 free getaways. Then after we finished paying we got 3 more. The locations are fine, as long they are safe is ok with me. I really do not spend to much time in hotels or resorts I just need a place to sleep and have my personal items safe. We have been in Williamsburg, Va. Orlando, Florida(2 times), Las Vegas Nevada. Mexico, Cancun, Ocean city. Myrtle beach etc. It is great. We have saved tons. You just need to use your certificate that allow you to book for a free week and then just pay taxes and resorts fee that can be 60 dollars a week. That is it. You can go to Europe. Check it out Sears travel is a great way to travel. read more

This is a SCAM! I purchased a travel package over the phone, they take my money out of my account every month but I'm unable to get anyone on the phone. I was supposed to receive a $50 gift card for Sears and a $25 gift card for restaurants.com - both never happened. I was supposed to receive a welcome letter explaining everything - never happened. I was told I could call 1-866-724-5190 x 67078 to speak with Daryl. I left many messages but he does not return calls. I am unable to reach anyone at this so-called business to get access to my account. I even tried www.directaccesstravel.com but the user name and password I set do not work. I even tried to reset but I'm not authorized to do so. I am reporting this company to the BBB. read more

Do not waste your money. I was offered several "free resort week long stays" to sign up. Well, there is NOTHING free about it. Every time I called to book a stay I would be required to pay over $500 to use it! I would decline, spend MORE time trying to find another option, call back to reserve it and again hit with hundreds of dollars of resort fees. This is a scam & strongly suggest one runs far away from anyone trying to sell this travel to you. And reading other reviews, most of these "resorts" are time shares so when one arrives, immediately pounced on with a strong-arm sales pitch. read more

was offered a free 7 night vacation to attend presentation. Tried to use the voucher "SURPRISE" They do not have any availability within several hundred miles of where I wanted to go. I then ask them about using a hotel. They said they could get me a good deal in the city that I wanted to go to. :SURPRISE". They quoted me $185 a night, I went on line and could book a room at the same hotel for the same nights for 132. My advice to anyone DO NOT GET TAKEN IN BY THEIR SALES PITCH, I would not trust this organization!!!! read more

We went to the sales presentation on Dial Rd. in Scottsdale. Signed up for the $5,000 package. Due to family medical reasons we weren't able to use the 'free' resort stay for one year. I made it perfectly clear at the presentation that we wanted resort stays in the US and places like Park City, Napa Valley, Montana, Vermont, Florida Keys. "No problem" he says. Not so, everything is in Mexico. I have talked with them and twice told them no Mexico and twice the insulting response was 'is there some reason you can't get a passport'? I tried to use their service for an Alaskan cruise and for a $7,000 cruise I could have saved a whole $136 over booking through Holland America. I tried to book a hotel in Abilene, Tx that was pet friendly and was told there are no pet friendly hotels in Abilene. I found one at Comfort Suites and cheaper than Sears quoted. I wanted to rent a car for a month in Maryland and Sears quoted $300 more than going directly through Avis. I have ten more examples of where Sears was more expensive than going directly through the hotel itself. This sales location had very tight security, badges, show ID etc. They have pissed off so many people they are frightened of retaliation. The other location on Dobson Rd. has no sign on the building at all. Again tight security, parking lot guard and gate. Any rank beginner travel agency can do better than this. read more

****PLEASE DO NOT USE SEARS VACATION TO BOOK YOUR VACATION***. If there was any star lower than 1, I would give it to Sears Vacation. Let me tell you this, I booked our Cruise vacation in January using Sears Vacation. The process went on smoothly, but in March when I received an email from Sears Vacation stating that my cruise line just cancelled our cruise 15 days ahead of our departure date all hell broke loose. I panicked and I called them on March 20th, 2016 (the day I received the email), they said that I could re book on another cruise sailing on April 1st, 2016 from the same port. I was told I will be getting a refund of ($384.90) over the phone. So, I thought we could use this money to cover for our change in airfare and to stay in a hotel for a day after our cruise as we could not find a return flight back home on the disembarkation day. I called Sears Vacation again after few hours the same day and rebooked this other cruise. I also confirmed the refund amount and asked them to send me a written copy for future reference. I got 3 separate emails from 3 different people from 03/20/2016-03/23/2016 stating my refund amount is $384.90. They also told me that I will be getting the refund back anywhere from 2 business days to 14 business days. I called them again on April 1st, the day of our cruise to follow up on the refund amount. They said they are still working on it. I called them again on April 11th about the refund, this is when I was told that the cruise line was only paying me $103.29. I told them that I am supposed to get $384.90 as per there emails. They said to give them couple more days and they will be working on it. Since then I have been giving them a call every 2-3 days to follow up on my remaining refund amount. I was given the same exact answer every time I called. I finally gave up on them and wrote to Royal Caribbeans CEO and President. I got an email from them that they are looking into this matter and will follow up with a phone call. This was on June 24th. I got a call from Sears Vacation today (June 30th) stating that my refund is only $103.29 and that there agents made a mistake. They sent me my revised cruise fare (dated April 1st, 2016) that shows a refund of $103.29 on June 30th ( 2 months after my cruise). I told them that I should have received this before my cruise and not 2 months after my cruise. The agent told me very rudely that they do not call people to inform them of there cruise fare. I called them till the day of my cruise to check my refund amount and every time I called them I was told the same thing. How am I supposed to know that they would change the refund amount? I can understand if 1 agent makes a mistake, how can 3 different people make the same mistake? I am on phone with them holding to talk to a supervisor. Its been 1hr , 36 min. I am typing this while I am on hold. This is how Sears Vacation treats their customer after getting the monies. I just wished I never booked my vacation with them. There has been nothing but hassle to get my monies back. read more

Can't give a ZERO so I have to give it a one.... THIS COMPANY IS THE MOST RUDE,UNPROFESSIONAL, LYING, DISRESPECTFUL, Company Ive ever have the no pleasure to deal with..I called in to figure out how to redeem my free trip (which I well deserved) for sitting in a two and a half hr lecture full of lie's... Well the rep asked me why I didn't want to buy into the package.. I then explained to him I got some negative reviews from family and friends so I won't be signing up. Do u know what he had the nerve to say to me ??? He said "Oh but you will take the free trip tho they didn't have anything negative to say about that? I was floored My face turn beet red and I felt as small as an ant on the ground or even smaller!!! I was so speechless all I could say is can I please speak to your supervisor and well what do u know I got the same attitude that I got from the the rep! This company needs to be shut down!!! and I didn't want to go into anything long and drawn out but I'll tell you why I changed my mind because the guy at the seminar had me sold but my BFF was at work and I wanted us two to go half on the package.... O I was gun hoe on getting it til ... I called her and that's when she told me the horrors of this SCAM she said they will get your money, book u and then when u get out of the country its a whole new ball game ...Her cousin has them. Her and a group went to Thailand and nearly got stranded out there because when they got to the hotel they had to pay almost 3000US ...It was told to them that everything was all inclusive and all they have to pay is 250 in taxes and fees which they all agreed but when they got there they said that they would have to pay 3000US or they cant stay there so everyone had to pool their money together to come up with this!! Which means no one had money to do anything and its only by the grace of GOD that they had enough. So that's why I changed my mind and would not recommend them or join read more

I purchased a package from Sears Vacations which included 4 weeks of resorts stay and 2 cruises in addition to their complimentary 1 week resort stay offered for attending their presentation. I thought I was getting a bargain, but it turned out that I really was not. The important detail that the salesman misrepresented was that I could use all the resorts AND cruises together, BUT instead it turned out that I could use EITHER 2 resorts OR 1 cruise. After I used 1 cruise certificate, I automatically lost 2 weeks of resort stays. So their offer should be interpreted as 4 weeks of resort stay OR 2 cruises and not AND 2 cruises. I swear they told me it was both, but I found out the hard way that it wasn't. On top of that, if you are looking to use your certificates to get a free week of resort stay or a cruise, you are likely not going to get them absolutely free. Instead, you are going to get them at a discounted rate which is better than paying full price, but it is not free. So, in essence you should look at the certificates as discounts or coupons for which you are paying a hefty price upfront. Sears Vacations claimed in their presentation that they have the best prices on the hotels and resorts. This may be true for some hotels, but definitely not for most. You will end up paying more with Sears Vacations, especially if you factor in the price you are paying for the package upfront. I must be fair to say that heir customer service is pretty good. The representatives are very polite and aim to please. The wait time is average for this line of business. Overall, I would not recommend using this company's products. read more

I have been a member since 2012 and this company is exactly what it is meant to be a travel vacation company It allows you to book vacations hotels resorts and cruises at great discounts and even earn free vacations as well My wife is a RN and has a tough schedule as far as hours are concerned Sears Vacations allow me to book last minute vacations with no hassles She comes home late at night and says honey I'm off the next 2 days take me somewhere i get on my Sears Vacations website and off I go The people who answer the phones are always courteous and helpful and cater to all my personal and vacation wants. I have never seen in any incident and I am a hard core discount shopper where Sears did not beat the price. Even when you use the others all they do is see the same price you see and beat it by 1-3 dollars I know for a fact that when you join Sears Vacations as time goes by there will never be a regret read more

My husband and I attended the sales presentation and joined the Direct Access several years ago. We love it. We used one of the certificates in Hawaii and stayed in a lovely resort. It wasn't beach-front, but we could walk a short ways and be right at the beach, so it was actually nice to be tucked away in the plumerias and quiet, away from the crowds. We also had a full kitchen and could cook good, healthy food and save money without relying on restaurants. We also booked a week-long quarterly special deal in Mexico for $75! We used the membership discount to add another week-long stay for my parents to join us on vacation with their own room and it was $399, so overall 2 rooms and a kitchen with an ocean view, on the beach, for a family of 5, for 7 days, for $474 dollars!!!! Absolutely amazing, and my parents still talk about what a wonderful family bonding experience we had. I see the negative feedback on here and am quite frankly, confused by it. A lot of the feedback hailing Sears Vacations as a scam is by people who didn't buy into the membership. For those who did and are complaining about customer service on the phone and additional resort fees in order to use their certificates, there is an easy fix for this: Log into your account online and start searching through the resorts. You can check the dates yourself to see if they are available and you can check pricing to see where you can use your certificate for a free resort stay and where there is an additional fee for a resort upgrade and how much it is. It is all really easy. I have also used their travel agents to book flights and hotels. The flights were the same price as if I had gotten them myself directly from the airlines, but the hotels were discounted. The only issue I have ever had while working with Sears Vacations is that two summers ago, when traveling to South America, I booked flights through Sears' travel agency. When the airline cancelled one of my internal flights, the travel agent called to notify me and re-book my flight for me, which I thought was nice. But then I was on and off hold for two hours and she kept telling me that their English-speaking service was horrible. The whole process took so long and became frustrating - It would have been so much easier if Sears had a Spanish-speaking agent (so weird to not have one on that call) or if I had called myself. But all-in-all, that is a small thing compared to all the great benefits we've experienced being part of Direct Access. read more

I purchase the $4,999 package membership yesterday with a written option to cancel within 3 days, after the seminar I came home and got into their website, found what they have presented to me in the seminar is incorrect!! right away I found out that it would cost me more to travel on my available dates and places with them than other free websites!!! Immediately I called up to cancel my membership but I could not get somebody on the phone to request for the cancellation, also in their website don't have live chat or even contact info by email, for the record for day and a half I got a runaround to speak to someone. Finally after talking to someone they claimed they cancelled my membership, Great!!! so when I ask for my confirmation they gave me my Membership Number!!! I requested a proof of cancellation to be sent to me by email or even text, but they refused to do that I'm really frustrated with this bogus company, I see a hefty class action lawsuit coming their way. read more

I Signed up with this vacation club in September 2016. I was sceptical at first however I decided to give it a try. I Just came back from a 6 night stay in Jamaica, Montego Bay at the Hyatt Ziva. This is a 5 star hotel and was the best all inclusive resort that I have ever been to so far. It was hassle free with no hidden extra costs. Four adults stayed in the all inclusive resort and it cost each person about $548 each for the 6 nights. If you go to the Hyatt site one night at that resort is between $400-$500 per night. This was an excellent deal we all had a fantastic time and because I joined the club my whole family can benefit. I already purchased a vacation for my parents to travel to an all inclusive resort which has a separate kitchen in Mexico for a total of $400 for (both of them). You cannot beat that price, I am happy so far and will be able to travel more often in the future. read more

I think it's silly that they have no accommodations for children under 12. ESP for those who have no one to take care of their children. If I 'won' a free seven day vacation I'd like my small child to also be able to attend. Way to go Sears . I'll stick with a more family oriented travel agency. read more

UPDATE: SEARS Vacations was able to resolve our issue. Customer service and Nicole was great in helping us. Thanks so much! We were excited to be able to save money through sears vacations direct access as we were told it's what travel agents pay for. I started to look for a hotel in Hollywood, CA for this weekend and have not really found it that much cheaper and I was told the price you see includes everything, however, that's not the case. Also, the certificates we got is really not free, some are for a very few dates and there aren't a lot of choices - mostly Mexico. I've never been to Mexico and I don't know how we would even get there. The choices aren't great. We do travel and spend a lot and so we thought this would be great, however, you can't even go to where you want to go and it's not cheaper, in fact, if you book directly with the hotel, it would be cheaper. OK. I just spent an hour searching for hotels in CA for 2 dates and said " Please search againClose Our apologies, we do not have any hotels in this destination to accommodate your travel plans." I can't believe that the whole CA has no hotels for those 2 dates. This is crazy! Insane! What's the return policy? read more

I have to say I'm a little concerned after reading some of these posts, but I like to form my own opinion. I have done quite a bit of traveling over the last few years so I'm familiar with how much 'vacations" cost. I was skeptical when I attended the presentation, but then I was also curious. I decided to give it a try and bought one of their memberships. So far I have not been disappointed. I too received the $100 gift card to Restaurants.com and went online and picked 5 restaurants to try and printed out the vouchers for the restaurants. I have not tried them yet, but we shall see. I also received vouchers for their Lifestyle Collection that you can purchase items online. went to the website to check it out, and some of the deals were good, some not so much. I did have the opportunity to book a hotel for later this year and I found a good one with great reviews so I booked it. Booking online was extremely easy. Just for kicks I decided to see what that hotel would cost on Hotels.com, I saved almost $50 for the one night using Sears Vacation. So far so good. I'm eagerly waiting for the next quarterly sale to see what is offered. I also received a couple of "free" 1 week vacations for signing up, I have yet to book those. I'm really hoping I don't have the issues that others on here have experienced, but we shall see. read more

I signed up because I fell for the pitch that the other travel agencies were out to get you and that Sears was such a trustworthy company and they were there to save the day. Couldn't be further from the truth! I was given the free vacation, still haven't booked it yet because every time I call to book something Sears can not accommodate! I hate leaving bad reviews anywhere but hate to do it here the most. I would hate for a company to go out of business because of all the bad reviews. Especially when I put 6k into this mistake! I am sorry but they are deceitful and untrustworthy. Not to mention the booking staff is very uneducated on their services. I have called so many times to book a trip and I am always told that they can not accommodate my request. Weather they have no affiliation with the resort or you can get it much cheaper from AAA. Sears discounts for any good resort or hotel is actually next to nothing. When you do find a vacation that you get excited about and call to book it you are then told that the vacation you requested can not be met. Sears then stated that they only allow so many rooms after telling me something else at the sales pitch! By the way the guy who left the review stating that this was for your family too... Brother, sister mother's and father's you forgot to say that you have to pick and choose which siblings you want to take a trip with you. I was told today on the phone by the agent that the discount was only eligible for immediate family. I then stated I needed 10 rooms. (I was told at the sales pitch that there was no limit on the amount of discounted rooms you needed.) When I explained this to the sales rep she said that 10 rooms was too much it was only for brothers and sisters and parents...... I am sorry, I have a large family!!!!!!!!! They would only give me 5 rooms at a discounted rate. They wanted everyone to double up and stay 4 per room!! On a romantic Mexican vacation they want couples to double up in their rooms. I then asked to check other dates. They again told me I can only get 5 rooms. One week they said I couldn't have any rooms even though they have the dates as available on their website! They are liars and scam artists. Stay far away from this company! Sears should be asamed to put their name on something like this. I have called to cancel 3 times now and each time I am told to give it a chance..... I am sorry but when you call to book almost 6 different trips now and you are told sorry!!! We can't help you a person starts to get angry. Please take your money and but your 180.00 a month away in a bank account and then use it to go on the vacation of your dreams and PLEASE use another travel agency! I also had someone tell me that they will try and help me make my reservations tonight but the insinuated that I had to pay the full $4000.00 for the trip up front! Sears has a layaway program that I was told I can use on this trip earlier in the week. I am so tired of this company ripping people off especially me!!!! I feel it is time to get the BBB involved. They should not be scamming people out of their money every month. It is horrible, I don't know how you people sleep at night! Very unhappy customer! STAY FAR AWAY PEOPLE!!!! I am over 1k into this company and they haven't made 1 vacation happen yet out of 6 attempts....... I am pissed!!!!! read more

I'd like to start w/ I'm a very laid back, easy going, understanding person. I'm also a call center customer service rep myself and never have in my life have I been so miss lead by a company. DO NOT BUY W/ THEM. THANK god I didn't purchase the full membership w/ these ppl WASTE OF MONEY. The booking reps lie/MISLEAD u. I got tossed around for 3 months in how to book for the resort I wanted. Only in the end to get told by manger i only had one selection available to me in the state i wanted to vaca in. Plus I even had a rep that was supposed to get me to manger first time after all this hassle over 3 months, only to say hell transfer me but then hang up on me. Overall horrible, unhelpful, customer service reps. U shouldn't have to go thru this much trouble just to find out what's available for booking. ***Also don't fall for the free 7night certificate. You do have to pay out of your own pocket some expense for the room such as taxes and hidden fees. if u want anywhere else except Mexico you'll only get 4 night not 7 unless you pay additional charge and that only be for a small studio. you could pay $500 or more for upgrade to bigger room thou. ***overall having a look at the so called lower prices and comparing if you were to call the resorts themselves you really only save maybe 20-100 but you also lose out on specials or free breakfast the place may offer. MY ADVICE ITS BETTER TO BOOK DIRECTLY W/ THE HOTEL /RESORT YOU WANA STAY AT. ex: Adobe Grand Villas, sedona ,az sears total cost :394*7= total cost $2758 (no breakfast) adobe resort themselves 479*7=3353-30% off= total cost $2347.10 (free breakfast ea/day) you pay that much just for lowest membership fee too. just wana say all i did was simply call the resort for price quote as an example cuz i thought it was cute place to visit. read more

Not worth even a star! I went the to the presentation and actually signed up to now being frustrated any and every time I call that place! They are a scam! So many false and misleading information its insane! You would think being tied to such a big corporation they would present themselves in a better more professional/ organized manner. I blame myself for not doing enough research. Please beware! I will list examples of my experience. In the presentation...Your told you can go anywhere in the world with your FREE CERTIFICATE! meanwhile your options for the certificate are limited to MEXICO where you have to PAY and the airfare is incredible HIGH! I booked a stay 2 days ago to rocky point and was told how nice it is and its will only cost $350. I looked at air fare and the shuttle transportation and the trip was going to end up costing me over $3K!!! I call to cancel and now they are telling me that I will lose out on my money $350 and lose out on the certificate because I booked a reservation with a 30 day mark. After screaming my lungs out and going back and forth the most they did was give me a $150 credit for another resort...First of all they talk to you like your inhumane, they transfer you and put you on hold for most your conversation and truthly not any representatives are knowledgeable or give you the same information. Please keep in mind when they tell you, "This call is being recorded" its just so they can go back and listen and then tell you that YOUR ARE STILL AT FAULT AND THEY DID NOTHING WRONG! I am thinking of going into Sears and actually letting these innocent folks that are just shopping around know PLEASE DONT DO THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE! I WILL ALSO REPORT TO THE BBB. They have no issues taking your money and having attitudes, trying to scam you over the phone etc. But when you call and ask for assistance, try to cancel, now its TOO LATE, CANT GET A REFUND, LOSE YOUR CERTIFICATE, YOUR CALLING THE WRONG NUMBER OR JSUT FLAT OUT I CANT HANDLE THIS REQUEST! I think of Sears as such a reputable organization its shame that this even tied to them. In the last few days I've spoken to so many people its crazy...To the point I actually find myself telling them where is your empathy! If it were a relative you were on the phone with would you say and react the same!!! I am so disappointed!!!!!!!!!! too bad I had to put a star I wish trash cans were an option!!!! read more

I went to presentation in March 2017. At this time I didn't want to sign up. A rep continued to call me numerous of times and said he would give me the package for a lower rate. I accepted and he said well you will also receive a voucher for either 2 7 days at a resort or a 7 day cruise. Ok... that sounds good have been paying on the package on a monthly basis. Didn't use it last year since I had already booked my vacation. So here comes 2018. I decide to use the 7 day cruise voucher. I contacted the call center to book. Initially paid for the taxes and government fees or the cruise. At the end of the conversation the rep says "you have to pay off your membership before you use the voucher". Me "what are you saying". The rep said that the entire membership has to be paid in full before using the voucher. I was never advised this nor will I be paying for the membership in full at this time. I haven't use none of the benefits - at all.... I will be filing a better business complaint to retrieve my money back... NOTHING BUT A SCAM!!! DON'T JOIN !!! read more

If I can give Sears Vacations a zero I would but I have to settle for a one. They are a scam!!!! Stay away from Sears Vacations as they will take your money and run. Signed up with a representative named Micheal Gavin who lied to us about canceling at anytime since I was between jobs at the time and wasn't sure. When trying to call and cancel representatives are rude and refuse to help. Asked to speak with a manger and was hung up on. This is the worst company anyone can do business with. They tell the representatives to lie to customers in order to make a sale. Michael Galvin is dishonest and will lie to your face when asking multiple times if you can cancel anytime after you sign up. Michael Galvin will lie and say anything to make a buck out of you. When calling in again and speaking to another representative of Sears Vacation I was told that whatever is promised or told to you in the sale is defaulted by their contract. WHICH MEANS THEY LET THEIR REPRESENTATIVES LIE TO CUSTOMERS SO THEY CAN MAKE A SALE. I will never do businesses with Sears again and will make it my mission to spread this around so SEARS does not take advantage of anymore customers. I will also be taking this to court . As I googled Sears Vacations I see the same issue everywhere. THEY ARE A SCAM!!! DO NOT INVEST YOUR TIME AND MONEY INTO THIS COMPANY. I'm still trying to resolve my issue with SEARS but I keep getting the run around with them and they refuse to help. If they don't I will take this to court. This company does not have integrity nor do they honor or respect it. read more

Ok, I wanted to write an update on my review a few months ago. I wrote that I was offered a promotional 7 night certificate for attending a webinar. It was iffy if I was going to get it since I didn't see it right away. I later DID receive the certificate and I did surf the places and times. The places seem ok and some look pretty decent like in Mexico. I had an issue with the certificate today as there were cost to all the places but other times it was zero cost (as it should be considering it was a FREE seven night stay). The cert says it expires today but I think I can use it till today and tomorrow it will be over. Well, after my first review, I was messaged by Chelsea at Sears Vacation asking me to send a personal message so she can look into my certificate. I didn't message her since a week later I got my certificate. I actually ended up emailing the person that invited me to the webinar and he responded saying the certificate is in my account. At any rate, today when I ran into the issue of being charged at these resorts, I messaged Chelsea. She did respond quickly and said I will be contacted about this today. well, I did receive a call from Alejandro and he was VERY nice and accommodating. He said the reason my hotel places had a cost is because my certiicate actually expires TODAY and that is the reason. OH, ok then. That makes sense. So at least I was given an explanation. I actually called earlier and spoke with two people before Alejandro and they basically told me my certificate is not really free because prices fluctuate. Huh? Then he transfered me to a girl that tried to SELL me more upgrades to my membership. That was when I contacted Chelsea. Anyhow, that is how I finally was connected to Alejandro who help me throughly. I do appreciate his help and this is what customer service is about. read more

I would give SEARS Vacation less than a star if I could. After signing up for a raffle in a SEARs store I received a call from SEARS Vacations and was told by 'German' their agent that if I attended their seminar that I am entitled to one of 3 vacation (a 4 day, 3 night trip OR A 7 day Beach (Florida or Mexico) Vacation OR a 4 day 3night cruise leaving out of Florida to the Caribbean) NO PURCHAE NECESSARY. Well I attended the seminar in Uniondale, NY and was not interested in purchasing their vacation plan. I was then told I would get the 7 night Mexico vacation. When I told them that I was told I had a choice of 3, I was told by Chris, the Regional Manager, who lives in Setauket, NY and By Stan (From Mass) the District Manager who ran the seminar that it was not a problem, that when I call to activate my free trip, just tell the agent I want the cruise instead since they did not have one of those certificates with them at that time. Well as you can guess, THIS IS NOT TRUE! The agent on the phone said I would have to purchase the plan in order to get to the cruise. Having no other choice, I activated the 7 day Mexico vacation. Originally, I was told you have 6 months to travel. Now I am told 90 days. AGAIN - LIES!!! If you like to be lied to than go ahead and waste your time with these people. I am so glad I didn't buy into this because I am sure the "Bait and Switch" doesn't stop here! I am surprised at SEARS, they were always a reputable company. read more

I am convinced this is a scam, its a lot of hype and promises and false advertisements when you sit there. I have had this stupid vacation thing for 3 years, I get charged every month and its useless. I had resort certificates to use that they promise free 7 day stay and to where? Its never to any place I want to go. There is never a resort in the destination I want to travel no matter how much time in advance I look. I have tried online, calling them and never free. I have had no choice but to use them as a discount towards a hotel which barely gets me that much of a discount. Then its always a pain to book, somehow the phone call takes forever or they have to call back because they can't enter it into there system and they always have to go through the supplier directly. Then my last trip just in May which was for my honeymoon, again nothing available for free, I had to transfer the resort certificate over to cover the stay at a resort that comes up in the hotel section. Which I noticed there resort section is crap, very limited, you will find resorts in the hotel travel that somehow don't qualify for the resort certificate because they are under hotel. Anyway, went and checked in, this place actually was beautiful but the reservation was messed up due to that whole supplier issue I assume when booking. When I tried to correct it at the desk the lady treated me different because she said my reservation came from a third party and I said I know Sears vacations and she said no its through hotels.com. Nice to know I used my so called free certificate, paid a lot of money on top of it and it was booked through hotels.com. Never once have I not paid a good amount on top of my certificate that was supposed to be free. There deals are useless as well. Its mostly mexico, Spain, out of the country and when you do find a deal thats in the US its on a certain check in date that's around the corner. My vacation is coming up for renewal and I have tried to email them twice with no response about my complaints on this so called vacation club. I have always brought it up on every phone call I made to them about how I have never been able to use a free certificate and its always dismissed. They would not help me cancel in the beginning because I was just past there time to cancel. Unless I want to cancel and not get any of the money I put out. I spent over $5000 on this package and still had to pay every time as if I wasn't using my free 7 day resort certificate. Which by the way somehow the 7 day certificate turns into 3 days free when you use it on the hotel side. Its a big rip off. There are countless complaints online, at the BBB and they don't seem to care. Its a lot of bull at that first 90 min presentation, they make it sound so good, show you the right comparable but it's completely the opposite. I still book my Cali vacations through getawaytoday and other sites so i basically threw money away and its awful. I would not recommend this to anyone and anyone saying the booked a free cruise or 7 day resort is either an employee or settled for what sears determined as the allowable places on the exact dates to get it free. I think we should all start a small claims suite against them. I'm going to have to look into that since they took my $5000 and I got nothing they promised out of it. read more

!!!SCAM ALERT!!!!!!.........I rate this company zero stars. Do not fall for this company per their presentation. If you have already signed a contract and you are reading this within three days of signing, call and cancel your subscription now. When i went to the presentation I liked what i heard and ignored my instinct telling me that it was to good to be true. Before signing up i asked the gentleman taking my information if i can pay the sign up fee of 299.00 with my credit card and if he can charge my debit card monthly. He said that he can so i gave him both card numbers and he entered them into his tablet and he had me sign and initial for the cards to be charged. 1st Lie. When the time came for them to charge my debit card the funds were never taken out. I called to get a supervisor on the phone to ask what had happened and what did they did with my debit card info that i gave them and no one can or was able to give me an answer. Due to them misplacing my debit card info they fraudulently took it upon them selves as a company to charge my credit card that was only authorized for a one time charge, not once but multiple times and ruined my credit score because the kept maxing and over drafting on my credit card on multiple occasions. I called and requested to speak to a supervisor and never received a call back. Then finally i was able to speak to a collector who transferred me to customer service and i was able to get a supervisor by the name of Omar on the phone. He was refusing to help me and kept trying to redirect the conversation towards booking a vacation as if he were a sales rep. I asked to speak to his supervisor or anyone above him and he told me that there was no one above him. 2nd Lie. I argued with him as he insulted my intelligence until he finally said that he will get his supervisor to call me back. I received a call back from Omar's supervisor who was not very helpful at all. The conversation went in the same direction as my conversation with Omar. I explained to them that i feel like i am being scammed and that i want my subscription cancelled as i no longer trust them as a company. They have only proven to be careless and dishonest. I say dishonest because i paid for a vacation at a third of what Sears vacation was offering. ( I will not count this one as a lie) That was with no special offer or discount. When i tried to set up a vacation to San Diego i was told by a customer service rep that they couldn't get me in a resort or hotel anywhere in San Diego but they can get me in somewhere else. I explained to the rep that i already bought seven tickets to San dingo Sea World and that i needed to be in San Diego or close. She said that she was unable to help me. Long story short as i asked Omar's supervisor if he can cancel my subscription and he said that it is impossible and he refused to help me. 3rd Lie. I then asked to speak to someone who has higher authority then him and Sears vacation proved to be dishonest again when he said that there is no one above him. 4th Lie Then he lied again on a recorded line and said that he said that there was no one above him "in his office". 5th Lie. After we established that he was not the owner or CEO of the company i asked that he email someone higher up and have them call me and he refused and said that i need to do the research my self. He also stated i that no one else has the authority to help me but him, he said that he is the only one that can cancel my subscription, so he lied to me again as now it is possible to cancel my subscription. 6th Lie. I hope that i can get this resolved as at this point i recommend not to trust this company and i will be posting this on every review site to spread the word that this company is careless and dishonest. If anyone has already taken upon themselves to take this company to litigation per their unique experience please email me at c.romero9271@gmail.com i would like to see where you are with your case. I will post an update once I speak to the CEO or someone who has a higher level of intelligence and authority than the two gentleman that i have already talked to. read more
