When you call his office (during office hours) someone picks up on the first or second ring. When you arrive you are given the most minimum paperwork which is a huge relief. He's always on time and you are never kept waiting. Most doctors talk to you while staring at your chart or typing into a computer and barely look at you. Dr. Huie gives direct eye contact right away and is present with you the entire time. You get his full attention. He asks enough questions but doesn't pester you with irrelevant ones. He gets quickly to his suggestion and doesn't overly explain things once you get it. He has a great network of folks he refers you do and somehow even has their phone numbers memorized. The office sends you easy to understand bills and is easy to work with. Doctors like these are a dying breed. I hope he never retires.

Rep didn't know why an ofc visit was mandated for a flu/ covid shot nor how much that office visit would cost (shots should be covered) nor the code I could share when I make another call to insurance to find out. Then he offered to route me back and I asked he stay on the line. He did not and then after another 7 min the held call dropped. Crazy... Guess I'll go to CVS... Boo...it used to be such a nice office with great care.

While waiting for the doctor, I overheard her and staff gossiping about me outside the door. I waited 45 minutes only to be talked to in a condescending matter. First time I realized this it was when I tested positive for covid-19 and I had a FaceTime appointment with her, since I had a congested nose she advised me on what to do. She had given me a specific medicine I needed to take but I didn't write it down so I messaged her on the Sutter health online app to ask what the name of the medicine was but she NEVER replied. Doctors are supposed to help people no matter what Specially right now with the pandemic. She had schedule me for my anual physical exam the month after I tested positive. I go to my appointment and I had checked in and I'm seating there, had already waited 20 min then I see her walk in with a coffee. Now I understand everyone needs their coffee in the morning. I always try to keep in mind things like this but what got me upset was that she had me waiting 30 more min after she had arrived. Keep in mind I had already been waiting a while. This is the FIRST time this has ever happen to me. I rarely go to the hospital and for this to happen ?? I thought it was very unprofessional, she lacks work ethic i don't know why people choose this career when it's not something they feel passionate about. Very sad this happened because it shows how much they "care" for us.
