It was impossible to speak to a real person and discuss our concerns about your computer system putting us off, giving false information and causing us days of waiting for the job to get done. If Michael hadn't been so knowledgeable and able to fix our dryer, we would give you no stars. Like I said, Michael saved the rating, but your AI is ridiculous. I set up an appointment online through Sears website to get my Fisher Paykel dishwasher looked at. Had an appointment for several days out. The technician called me the day of service and when I told him our dishwasher was in an RV, he told me he couldn't step into my RV. He said if I could take the dishwasher out and hook it up to water and power outside of the RV, he could take a look at it. I'm like seriously?? It is a built-in drawer unit where that is virtually impossible to do. The actuator arms and lid are separate from the dishwasher and mounted to the cabinet. Anyway. I guess Sears doesn't want the "liability" of stepping into an RV. We live in Arizona for six months in our RV. The RV is our home. It is no different than having a stationary park model or double wide trailer. Or a house! I have homeowners/liability insurance just like I do at my house. And so should they have the same "liability" insurance! The technician said he has several service calls a week that he has to cancel because he cannot go into RVs. Why is it that Appliance service Technicians won't repair appliances in RVs and RV technicians typically don't know how to repair appliances? So tell me, Sears, why won't you repair an appliance in an RV? My opinion is that technician should be allowed to evaluate on a case by case basis if the Appliance is such that they can service it. If the RV situation is not "safe" enough for him to go into as far as if it is an older model with electrical problems or water issues etc. Let the technician make that call. I think it is an absolute ridiculous blanket statement that says "we cannot let our appliance service technicians step into an RV because of liability." No wonder Sears is going broke and closed all their stores. Their "Customer service" sucks. Or should I say their customer service is nonexistent? read more

Today was the fourth time SEARS has been out to our home regarding our refrigerator. Three separate repairman have come out and given different opinions of what is wrong. Each time they spent less than a few minutes troubleshooting the problem. Finally today, the repairman came out to "fix" the problem with a new part. Less than two hours later, the same issue with the refrigerator reoccurred. Several hundred dollars later and the problem is still not fixed. Shameful. read more

Total rip off. My sister was charged $289 for 5 minutes of labor. This was supposed to be an estimate of costs, but their charges are pre-determined and it doesn't matter how long a repair takes. They also charge for repairs BEFORE the repairs are actually done. The service technician was great in explaining the procedures, but he does not set those ridiculous prices. Also wasn't aware that repair technicians are not local even though local address and phone number are listed on website to fool you in believing they are local. read more

The second time because I don't wanna make an appointment to soon it's another couple of weeks out so going a month without a dishwasher is not my idea of good Now no show for 3rd appt no call. I have tried this company multiple times. Years ago they had a very good repair staff however over the last several years every single repairman that has come to look at an appliance for me has been completely useless. The last one that came reeked of cigarette smoke so badly That we had to deodorize our business office. He sat down in front of the broken dryer on his phone. He did not take it apart. He did not look at anything. All he did was listen to a noise it made, and then gave me an estimate to repair it for over $400. We can easily get a new dryer no-frills for not a lot more than that so I wasted the $99 "diagnostic" fee for nothing. We are in a rural area and have very limited choices for appliance repair. I think the best thing to do is use someone like Home Depot, who has warranties on their products. read more

A Sears appliance repair technician came to our house to repair our oven door hinges on April 6th, He stated the hinges needed to be replaced. He charged us for parts and LABOR and said the parts would be sent to us. He scheduled an installation date for April 27th. The parts arrived April 16th. It is now April 28th...we've not heard from anyone at all. No texts, no phone calls, nothing. We've now frustratingly made 7...yes 7 telephone calls to their service area with no results. When we finally got to the point we asked to speak to a supervisor, they hung up on us. Now we have parts (that we hope fit) and are out the money for the labor. We are ar day 14 without air conditioning in Bullhead City, Arizona. Sears Home Warranty is still deciding whether they will approve the repair a qualified AC repairman has provided since they have no one to do the home warranty repair.
