Beware. Called about a repair on a washer. He came, said he does only top loads and would have to send one of the younger guys. Turns out the younger "guy" is a son who pretends to do a repair then disappears, won't return calls, etc.. Then, the father pretends he doesn't know Charlie and changes his story on referrals.After having paid the son $200 and winding up with the exact same issue we had to call someone else who charged $240 but it's repaired. DON'T GO HERE! My husband went in to find a deal on a washer dryer set. The guy working there said to come back tomorrow and he'll have one fixed and ready to go for $250. The next day we called all day long and got no response until late afternoon. When they said it was ready, My husband went back in and Paid $280. They said for an extra $45 they'd deliver it and set it up. We waited all night. A man and woman finally showed, 2 hours late, with the wrong set and tried to charge us extra for it. My husband said that's not the one he paid for. They said they made a mistake and would go get the correct one. Over an hour later, my husband called asking if they were still coming. They said they had to go drop off the one they first tried to bring us to someone else and that they'd come early the next morning. I waited all day and they never showed. We called multiple times and they continued to give us the runaround saying they were backed up or lagging or whatever. It's now almost 6pm and at this point they're not even answering their phone. We're out $280 and still wondering if we're ever going to receive our purchase! I will update soon! ***UPDATE*** DO NOT. I REPEAT: DO NOT GO HERE. THIS JAMES GUY HAS SOME SERIOUS ISSUES. I went to Kingman appliance on northern ave. looking for a washer dryer pair, the moment I walked in the door I almost puked from the smell of cigarette smoke, I asked about what I needed and was shown a washer dryer pair. they seemed reasonable priced so I bought them and they were delivered, when the washer was connected it shook real bad on the spin cycle the guy said "oh it needs a board underneath to level it" and then he left, well the board didn't do a damn thing to help, this washer shook the whole house. I went back to complain and was greeted with real indifference, I could tell the dude could care less, he took my information and wrote in a book and said he would take care of it, well months past and nothing, every time I would go to talk to them they were closed with a sign that said they would be their after a certain time, BS. Finally after about 20 washes it started making a horrible screeching noise like a belt slipping and it would not spin at all then it kicked the bucket and blew the circuit breaker, now the dryer has stopped drying cloths,Needless to say I don't recommend this place for anything. I had to put 1 star they don't even deserve that. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE THEY SELL OLD WARN OUT GARBAGE. Attempted to repair my refrigerator three times, no good. Landlord bought a replacement fridge from them, arrived one day late, would not return my calls, when the replacement fridge finally did arrive, I opened it and found it to be disgustingly filthy. Old rotten food and what looked like pubic hairs in the refrigerator compartment, and mold mildew and God knows what in the freezer. When I alerted the delivery/repairman about this, he said "That is my brothers job", and took off out the door. Now, when I first needed a repair on the fridge, I saw the previous post and went with someone else, only to find out afterwards that the person who I found listed was the son of the man that owns and operates Kingman Appliance. Read the other review, so I thought I would share mine even though it is not real recent. Got a washer from them a while back and it quit working the 2nd day. Did not get any return calls from my messages. Store appears to be closed most of the time. Knew where the business owner lived and stopped by to talk to them: no one answered, vehicles in the driveway. Place looks bad and smells really bad as well. They keep their business in about the same shape. I'm thinking once you buy something from them, they tend to disappear. Finally got a call back and the owner was furious that I came to his house. Wow is all I can say. My wife called looking for a fridge. James at the shop convinced her he can fix ours. Guy says he will be over at 5 PM. At 5:45 still no repairman. Finally called James and says he is in route. Two hours later the guy shows up with his girl friend. He spends 10 minutes taking apart the drawers out of the freezer to get to the 2 50 dollar fan's. He tells me he has to run up to his shop and grab the fans. He says I will be back in 15 to 20 minutes. Another 2 hours go by and no repairman. Finally call back and he sends his brother Charles over. Mind you by this time it is 9:30 PM. Charles spends almost 3 hours putting the fridge back together with my help. The brother was a nice enough guy. So by midnight I finally get a bill for 387.00 dollars for a 200 dollar fix anywhere else on the planet and the worst customer service I have ever seen. How to lose a customer for life - how not to grow your business. Simple: Don't honor the products you sell. Bought a part for my fridge from Kingman Appliance because I wanted to do business locally rather than Amazon/online. Worked for about 3 weeks then stopped. Went back to the store to let them know so they could order a new one (should be under warranty, yes?) well, yes, I thought so but was told that no warranty on parts. Whaaattt? After 3 weeks? That's the way it was. They refused to honor the product they sold me. I am a small business owner in Kingman and guarantee whatever we sell regardless of manufacturer or distributor warranties. Came out to fix my Whirlpool ref/freezer that was not getting cold. CHRIS De MENT Said it needed a control. He gave me a receipt that he replaced the automatic defrost control and the heater coil. It still was not working. Returned after 10 days and said was fine. I was getting freezer temps in the 40's, ice cream melted to a puddle. I had Dave's and Son's Appliance from Lake Havasu come and fix it. It needed a Cold Control. The AUTOMATIC DEFROST CONTROL AND THE HEATER COIL HAD NOT BEEN REPLACED based on rust and conditions of the units. Blatant fraud. I filed a complaint with the BBB and also will be filing a small claim case for full refund. I had filed a review on his on-line page. His response was that everything was ok and that I had admitted to taking psychological drugs on that day. Unbelievable accusation. A total fantasy. I AM FURIOUS. Stay away from Kingman Appliance.
