they were contracted through my home warranty company and stopped showing up. came three times and ordered parts for each visit although when the third part came there were two no call no shows, followed by another two cancellations from Sears halfway through the day. Given that the arrival window is 8-3 that is significant. service was fine when they showed up. I have now been contracted to a new company through much effort on my part, and they still keep rescheduling appointments through their portal saying that I have to cancel with the warranty company, which I have. I guess I'll see how this all plays out. Oh and everything is run by AI and a cheap one at that and they only have canned questions you can ask to get canned answers. The first technician arrived on December 5, identified the problem and ordered the part. I paid for the part, for the service call and for the installation. I received several text and email messages that said the part could not be found but they were continuing to look. Then on Jan.11, they cancelled my order and appointment, sent an email and text to inform me. Since I had paid in advance, I set up a new appointment with Sears. The new tech came to the house, reordered the part that came in 48 hours and fixed the problem 2 days later. Michael did fine, but Sears Appliance Repair customer service dept is an absolute disaster. the first visit Michael thought he had fixed the issue but it was broken again quickly after he left. Getting him to come back in a timely manner was a horrendous experience. You can not physically talk to a human being in customer service. It's only an AI assistant. Even if you ask for an operator the AI tells you that's not possible. Finally found a work around to chat, but only got there by acting like I was going to buy a home appliance warranty. They also refused to have someone call me so I had to settle for typing out my entire complaint on their subpar chat system. They weren't able to resolve my complaint about my physical appointment being cancelled by complying with their request for a video appointment first (don't try this, it's a joke and will just delay your repair). Both chat reps were rude and not willing to do anything I asked for. Had to have my son come home from work when they finally got an appointment scheduled to come back because I was out of town. The second attempt at a repair wasn't successful and so I was out $175 in addition to the cost of replacing my gas dryer. This was one of the worst customer service experiences ive ever had and I highly advise that you look for repair somewhere else. make sure the service you use allows you to call a human! read more

We had great service from Jordan. He arrived, diagnosed the issue and was able to repair our dryer. A great experience... However, your call center did not have our address correct which was noticed yesterday within minutes of making our appointment. I called and told them they made a mistake and corrected the address. However, this morning I received another message confirming our appt. today and our address was back to the incorrect address I corrected yesterday! So, called again and was told they could not change the address And did we want to cancel this appointment and make another one? We asked to speak to a supervisor so this issue could be resolved and we were told that the person on the other end of the line was the end of our efforts. There was no one to correct this issue and she could do nothing. It appears there was a communication breakdown as English is not the first language of the call center. Even though we spoke the numbers distinctly and spelled out our street name, it was still wrong. We decided to wait as we were told the technician would call us prior to coming to our house which he did. Had he not called us and just used the non-existent address on the work order he would have never found us. Please make sure your customer service has a supervisor that they can transfer people like ourselves to when there is an issue because they do not do the job properly and they can't fix a problem.. If there was a rating less than one star I would give it, I am frustrated and I will file a complaint with the BBB, Nevada State Attorney General's Office and the Consumer Protection Agency. I am astonished they can stay in business. The service and communication is entirely online with no way to speak to a person. I arranged a repair for a fridge, with an 8am-12noon window. I confirmed the appointment and then received multiple further requests to confirm the same appointment today. No one showed up and it is now 2.50pm. I spent the last 5 hours trying to reach someone at Sears, via multiple online searches and phone calls, which all end up in the same place. I am very tempted to take Sears to small claims court and charge them for wasting my time. An incredible disappointment from a company that seems to be so organized when they set the appointment. Techs were nice, but confused as to what the problem was. Stated that I had defective water filters. Did not have a replacement cartridge even though I had provided model number of refridgerator in advance. Charged me $160 and told me to order cartridge from Searsparts.com. I am waiting for new water filter to arrive so stay tuned for end result of using a Sears water filter. read more

When our Kenmore Range stopped igniting, we made an appointment and the tech was out in a few days. They needed a part which added two weeks, then the tech called in sick which added another 10 days. When the tech finally did install the part, they did it incorrectly and caused damage to our unit which would have been more expensive to fix than just buying a new unit. We didn't figure that out for another 2 weeks when another tech came in and tried to say that it was unrepairable but didn't want to say why. All they wanted to do was offer a refund for the parts and labor, still charge us for the diagnostic fee and then a coupon for Sears.com for another Kenmore. I would not recommend going with this service. We need to buy an entire new range because of the poor workmanship and unprofessionalism. read more

They said they would be here between 8am-5pm. At 4:18pm they cancelled and rescheduled for 3 days later. Wasted my time waiting for them all day!!! When they did show up 3 days later they charged me $251 to put in a $33 part .. less than 30 minutes of work ... a total rip off. Could buy a new dryer for $150 more. I had a scheduled appointment for 3/29/2021 between 1-5 p.m. The tech never showed. At 5 p.m. I checked on my phone to track my repair and it had been rescheduled for 3/31/2021. No phone call, no email, nothing. I drove 40 miles one way to sit and wait on them. When I got a hold of David in New Delhi India, he told me he was very sorry that I was not happy but that there were no technicians available in my area for today. One would think you would get a phone call. When they show up on 3/31/2021 to the new appt and the new washer is already installed, I'm just going to say "I'm sorry, didn't you get the email?" our technician was great but the scheduling was terrible. we called Sears because they used to be a very reliable and efficient company. we waited all day for our service call and it kept getting pushed back until finally, after waiting all day with no explanation or personal contact we got a text message that our call was canceled and rescheduled for the next week whigh was not convenient. we called the next day to talk to a live person, who was not apologetic or understanding but did help us move the appt to a different day but could not guarantee that we could be seen at our time of convenience but still had an all day time commitment. One of the worst cust service experiences ever. The technician was very thoughtful and called ahead to give us his time frame and we finally got the repair estimate.
