So I asked if we can move the start date up. He and his wife, Erica (then-fiancée, who now manages and procures for the business) moved their schedule around to accommodate my request. He is very dedicated to the work. I learned that they got married in the middle of our project. He just took 2 days off; got married in the weekend and was back to work on Monday! Sorry, Noah and Erica. He appears to have an artist's eye; made sure to put quarter rounds even inside the closets (which are largely hidden from view, see picture). He laid the planks vertically from the front door instead of horizontally (which, if done, would have cut the flow from the entrance). He matched the quarter rounds with the existing baseboards, so that if the latter has a small angled side, he would cut a small piece of the quarter round to fit that small side, instead of just doing a right angle. It looks aesthetically finished, instead of just looking "done". Erica is the same. When Noah was running late going home, he sent her a photo of what he thought was a finished job. She saw that some of corners and door-jamb trims did not have quarter rounds. She told him he had to do them. They're a good team. Noah is straightforward and very amiable. He explains what he does and is never impatient with questions, however inane. He is generous with his knowledge and is willing to teach how things work. He finished the job right on schedule, which allowed us to spend New Year's Eve in our new home. Fast forward to a couple of months after. He came back to fix our sprinklers that sprang leaks. He diagnosed the problem and made adjustments to make the existing system work. When you hire this business, you are assured of a job well-done.

My only complaint is that the floor installers after me telling them not to use my neighbor's water hose, still use my neighbor's water hose and mine. Hours after they left, my neighbor called to tell me that her water had been running on full blast for who-knows-how-long, because they had left hours before she called me. The only way she realized it was because there was water flooding in the street. She told me to go check mine and yes my water hose was still running on full blast hours after they left. That was so inconsiderate of them. There were about five of them working, and they did a lot of work that day so I gave each a $20 tip. They did not say thank you, which seemed a bit rude, but I still think they deserve to tip because of the work they did. They did leave a few things undone such as not painting the shoe molding to match the floor, but I called Donnie and he had a different worker come over and finish up the few things that needed to be done that next day. Overall, after the whole process has finished I am definitely happy with my flooring. I just wanted to be sure to give an honest review of my full experience. They exemplify the important requirements when seeking a good contractor: * Quality * Customer Service * Value/Cost * Time My wife and I moved our family to the Houston area, purchased a home, and wanted to perform a complete overhaul/remodel of the interior. I engaged the market and was fortunate to find Carlos with In and Out Remodeling. We had met with and received estimates from several other contractors, however Carlos was able to start quickly, had reasonable prices, and he seemed very knowledgeable and professional, so we opted to go with Carlos. COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!!!! The entire process was made easy by Carlos! Quality - This is probably the most important element to me. I am OCD when it comes to my house, everything needs to be perfect and correct. And while most people would say that nothing is ever "Perfect", those people clearly never met Carlos and his company. He does not make promises that he can't keep and does well at explaining any and all issues related with a project (he does not try to sugar-coat stuff - I respect Carlos for this). Value/Cost - Carlos' prices are very reasonable, and usually slightly lower than his competition. But the value he provides for the money - well, I just don't know how anybody could provide more value! Even if Carlos' prices are higher than other bids you are receiving (which I would be shocked to see), I would still go with Carlos, because the level of quality and service he provides can't be beat! Time - As much as I wish this doesn't matter, we all know it does! Time is money, and when projects take too long, or they delay due to lack of planning, it ends up being a problem. Once again, Carlos shines - he started working within days of giving him the deposit. His competition was telling me they were 2-6 weeks out. Carlos is likely able to offer faster timeframes because he has a solid crew, he has excellent resources for materials and supplies, and he is well connected in the industry. We finished the project ahead of schedule, and that was after I added more to the scope of work! Bottom-Line, you must at least give Carlos a chance, and I would be very surprised if you did and still went with his competition, he is that good! And for the record, this is not my first rodeo; my wife and I have purchased many homes and have performed many various remodels over the years. My only woe is that he won't come with me if I ever move away from Houston, because I utilize him for practically everything around my house now! #2 - Garage & Masonry We love Carlos and In and Out Remodeling so much, that there is no project performed around my house without consulting and receiving a bid from Carlos @ In and Out! We wanted to perform an addition to our house, specifically, we wanted to build a detached garage. But there is a caveat - I live in an exclusive neighborhood, and it had to meet stringent building and design requirements. Basically, it had to look exactly like the other garage.... No problem for In and Out. Carlos had his builders on site within one week and had materials there even sooner! Carlos took care of everything, and it looks amazing! Looks like it was built with the house! Lastly, at the conclusion of the garage project, we wanted to have some decorative masonry work done to the front of our house. Carlos built us some very nice custom columns to match our house and did some beautiful masonry work to my bridge and mailbox. AMAZING WORK!
