The decor is classy and cozy, good vibes, excellent service, and outstanding food. We started with the Pumpkin Empanadas. The first bite of this literally caused our jaws to drop. Tears forming as the flavor took us on a ride to our most sweetest moments in time. Crispy, stuffed with gold, I could eat thousands of these. Next, the Mikey's Premier Burger. The patty was so moist that the crispy bun with it created a wonderful mouthfeel. I'm not even sure what sauce was on the burger but it completes it. This burger requires no extra work from you. It's packed with flavor. Of course it is accompanied with 3 time fried thick fries. You could break these open and see the heat coming out. It was very hard to let these cool before eating. My wife ordered the Grilled a chicken with mushroom sauce. Home run. I know assume that you cannot go wrong with any choice here. Cheers to this gem in a lovely town. Shoutout to John the doorman of the partnered hotel, he was so kind and showed us the immaculate gardens.

The group also had the burger and fries which was excellent while 2 of us had the chicken schnitzel topped with greens and fennel. The schnitzel was the best meal I've had in months. The server was attentive and the food arrived in a timely manner. They recommended the baked potato, the chicken something (started with a c, and is essentially a chicken strip), and the peppercorn steak sandwich. We opted for the baked potato with the meat chili sauce and the steak sandwich. Y'all, the portions are huge (two people can share one dish) and the peppercorn sauce for the sandwich was INCREDIBLE. My sister and I used the sauce to dip our fries in. The chili baked potato was also excellent. It has a nice kick to it, so if you don't like heat in your food, then skip this dish. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. We asked two waitresses for advice on places to visit, and they were helpful and gave us great answers to our questions, and gave us recommendations based on what we were interested in seeing. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

While we were visiting Waterford, we went to the museum, picked out an item and had something beautifully sketched for us, which was great. And we asked the bartender where would be a great place to have some great food. He gave us a couple options and he was like if he wants some seafood go to this place if you want some pub food definitely check out Geoff's. Walking up it's in the middle of the atrium that they have there where they do a lot of different types of shows. There are a few tables outside that you can take a seat out if you want to. We decided to sit inside. It's very pubish inside and just like you would imagine every other restaurant in Ireland. When in Ireland, you were going to have to drink beer and that is definitely what we had. My partner had a gin and tonic service was great. We sat in this cute little off the bar seating it was hidden and very romantic. Sometimes the bartender would pop out of nowhere and surprise you. I ordered the stew which was pleasantly delicious! It was the color of an orange curry and on top was this crusty delicious nutty bread. My dish also came with a side salad and french fries so it was a lot of food for the amount of the price. My partner ordered the burger and the burger was delicious perfectly cooked. Couldn't ask for anything better. This has been one of my favorite places of all times to go eat while you're visiting and Ireland especially when you're in Waterford. Thank you for making my Waterford trip spectacular. The seafood chowder was well above average -- salty, thick, creamy and chock full of fresh mussels and fish. I really enjoyed it. We also had one of the specials on the menu -- pan-seared trout with curried risotto. I've never had such lovely trout before. It tasted more on the salmon side...definitely more rich than I remember this fish being before. At any rate, it was cooked to perfection, something that cannot be applauded enough. Fish is tough to cook, even for high brow establishments, so the fact that this pub cooked it perfectly is testament to the fact that you should eat here. Service was so-so but it was quite crowded. Pleasant, excellent food and conveniently located in town. Some nice trad musicians kept us entertained in the early evening. We didn't check the pub out later in the night, so I can't comment on the mood then, but I can vouch that they have a great kitchen and a decent pint.
