In 2016 we were introduced to Sean Crowley by our real estate agent. We already had our pre-approval from Wells Fargo and were a step ahead to proceed our mortgage loan with them. To make sure we head seen all options we spoke to Sean. Like all the reviews here we were quite impressed and decided to go with them for our mortgage loan. Soon we found out that Sean promises were all falsified. They did not stand up and deliver anything that they told. Our loan documents were worked on by an intern and we constantly found multiple mistakes in each document which led to constant back and forth. The last straw comes in just 15 days before the close of our escrow when Sean calls us to inform us that they can no longer honor the interest rate that was promised to us in the beginning. After a lot of discussion he reveals that he never actually locked the interest rate. We have proof of written(email) agreement from him that the interest rate will be locked for the entire escrow period. The documents sent to us had a tiny condition on the corner of the page which indicted the interest rate not being locked. With the multiple mistakes all the time we had to correct the documents we had missed this and signed off on it. In the end they never came around and offered us an interest rate 2 times more than the original. Things ended badly and we went with Wells Fargo who closed our loan within 2 weeks. Well an important and probably one of the most expensive lessons was learnt to not trust anyone. We lost a lot of money as the federal rate of interest had already increased and no bank would honor our initial interest rate. In the heat of the moment we did think of suing them, but things happened and life moved on. We love our home and did not want to invest the time and energy in anything more negative. I would never recommend them to anyone as I would not want someone to go through the same stress as we did and lose their peace of mind and be locked in with a bad loan for years.
