Seal Rock was a great experience. There was a Ranger with a spotter telescope available and helped us see baby birds nesting on the rock face. Thanks , that was a new thing for us.

Quick stop on my way to another location. Stop if time permits, short walk for a gorgeous view, bathrooms, no seals present this day, good parking. Enjoy! @glampedlife

This place is amazing at low tide for investigating the tide pools! This is our second trip out here, and we love to come here. We always find more starfish here!

This is an awesome Oregon beach! Sandy, yet rocks for tide pooling. Look up the tide table before you come so you can be there at low tide. Unfortunately, these aren't the best tide pools I've seen, but there was a decent array of life. We were also able to see seals on a rock off the shore about 100 feet or so. There are many types of birds flying around and fishing in the water. I'm no bird expert, but I saw a few pelicans and a ton of Seagulls, among others. Some reviews said the trails is very steep, but it was a paved gentle slope most of the way and then a not too steep rocky part. It wasn't an issue even with a toddler and baby in a carrier.

This state park has a gorgeous view to Pacific Coast. This park located at mile marker 151 of Pacific Coast Highway 101. This is a place has rock shape like elephant back. Many of the sea gulls rest on top. The view area allow you to see many rock that situated here. If you just stop at the rock, you may have missed a lot of things. I did not take the trail to the beach. I saw many has post the sea creatures like star fish. The top of the rock view is beautiful. The fence is preventing people fall off the cliffs. I like the multi island rock view shape like shark fin.

No seals today but what a great view with the rock formations coming out of the ocean. A short walk to the viewing platform in a wooded path. Just off of 101 and totally worth a stop.

A great beach spot! Good tidepooling and lots of beach space. Parking lot has restrooms and about 15 spots. Can get full on weekends. Nice viewpoint after short walk through shore pines and salal, then a steep hill takes you down to the sand. Some big cobbles at bottom of path will be hard to navigate for those with hip or knee troubles. So many tidepools! Please enjoy but don't move any organisms.

TIDEPOOLS!!! Gorgeous stretch of beach and a must see. There is a trail to walk down to the beach to see the pools, or you can stay up above and still catch an amazing view of the surf. There are restrooms and picnic spots as well. Remember to look, but don't touch or remove, what you are seeing are alive!

Beautiful and amazing views. Several Tidepools along the beach. Very easy to view them. A step walk to the beach and climb over logs at the end to reach beach. Birdwatching.

This was a picturesque stop on our way north from Yachats. There were many pelagic birds on the rocks, but it was difficult to identify them without binos.

A lot of the stops and waysides along the coast don't actually have a beach to walk on. This one has a good stretch of beach to walk along, there are tide pools at low tide and interesting rocks to climb on, and a chain of rocks further out that feature dramatic spray and tiny waterfalls. There are some pretty unique plants as well. The one that looks like a small palm tree that is so stuck to the rocks that it gets absolutely pummeled by surf and comes out looking as perky as ever. This is also one of the few places to see actual sea grass growing. It's long and green and flows and swirls with the waves in these big pools. It's mesmerizing! It looks like mermaid hair and if you don't watch it, you might just find yourself jumping in after one. Also, look out for the iridescent seaweed. I couldn't believe it when I saw it shimmering under the water. I took a video but it just isn't the same as seeing it in real life. The giant rock itself attracts a lot of shore birds that are fun to watch. This is a happening beach in the summertime and it provides a lot of drama in the winter. There are public restrooms in the parking lot here (further north than the first little turnout). There are also picnic areas but they're up top, not on the beach.

Fabulous little beach with great tide pools! The parking lot is pretty small, so you have to time it just right, but it is worth the effort. The beach is accessible via a beautiful wooded trail that leads to the rocky cliff pathway. (It might be a bit steep for some.) Once on the beach there are many things to see! We were here in late June, and the seals had left the area, but this beach offers up many great tide pools... especially the south end of the beach near Little Creek. It is easy to get caught up in climbing and exploring the rocks and tide pools on the south end, so be very cautions with the tides if they are headed in. The park at the top has great day-use picnic area and bathroom facilities. The State of Oregon does a wonderful job of keeping their parks clean and up to date!

At the top of the hill is the Cape Perpetua Overlook day use area. It costs $5, and there's plenty of parking and a vault toilet. There's also a map of the trails by the pay station. The views from up there are amazing! The trails are well maintained. Don't forget to check out the cool West Shelter observation point! On the other side of highway 101 is a trail to Devils Churn, Cook's Chasm, and Spouting Horn. All must-sees! The dramatic views change depending on high and low tides. We got up to the entera de and paid $7 to park and walk around a whole preserved Oregon park! It was so worth it because there were very few people there (compared to any other beach we've been to north of Tillamook). We drove around, parked, and walked on some of the trails to start out. We went over to the lighthouse that's kind of stunning because it's been kept up so well. Once we got over there, I realized MY FAMILY BROUGHT ME HERE GROWING UP UNTIL I WAS OLDER!!! I got emotional and my fiancé was just so excited to be apart of where I used to travel to in the summers. The steps to get down to Cobble Beach are kind of steep - but not too bad. Probably around 200 steps to get all the way down to the charcoal stones that line the beach. If you want sand, don't come to this part of the peninsula; this cobble stone coastline is meant for people who just want to be with the sounds of nature; by that I mean sit on some of the smoothed over rocks and just LISTEN!! The stones cascade together creating an amazing sound that just humbled us. We sat on the bottom of the stairs (there's a small ledge that's right at the base kind of hidden) and just watched the waves and listened to the cobble stone clatter. There were a few seals hunting at that time right were we were sitting and they kept checking out the few people that were down on the beach. We were here for around 2 hours, and I wish we didn't have to rush up to tillamook because I would've stayed here probably until sunset. Hands down beautiful, and we are going to be back within the next month or so
