She was supper upset and crying after the call. I was just trying to buy a motor. No need to make my wife cry. Probably lucky that we did not buy the motor. They were clearly trying to hide something. I would stay away from Rex Marine. There is something bad going on there. No one does customer service this way.

The radar began having issues not long after installation, and despite two service visits, the problem was never resolved. What's most frustrating is that the issue was reported during the warranty period, but instead of fixing or replacing the faulty unit at that time, the business delayed and failed to take effective action. Now that the warranty period has passed, they've acknowledged the radar itself has failed but are refusing to cover the cost of replacement or labor--leaving me to deal with the consequences of a defective product and an incomplete installation. Their only offer is to bill me for further work on a unit that was never properly addressed in the first place. I expected better service and accountability. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business and would caution others to be careful before trusting them with high-value marine electronics.

First, boat means Break Out Another Thousand -- vehicles in salt water require maintenance and work. Second, if you are nice good things happen. The staff from top to bottom are really nice people trying to do he best they can. My boat is not the poster child of perfection, but, staff have always treated me fairly and gotten the job done. Yes, some bills set high, but others set low -- it all averages out. Finally, all work, at least for me, has been first rate. To me THAT is what is important. If you want to save $$ do it yourself.
