Our tour guide was a retired high school history teacher and football coach with all sorts of interesting stories about the region. We passed Mount Baldy, the "living" sand dune that moves, at Indiana Dunes National Park and made it all the way down to a good view of the Century of Progress homes before making our way back. We also got to hear all about the ship, the Emita II, which is a historic ship from the 1950s, and about how it reached its current home. It was also very cute that Captain Jan had the kids come up and take turns at the wheel on the way back. There is a snack bar on the lower level of the boat, and there are restrooms on board. Free parking is available a little walk away - walk towards the Lighthouse Museum, as the dock is behind there. Definitely a great adventure!

Only complaint is there was a group with a person who should have been cut off from being served any more alcohol but her friends bought it for her. The boat itself was gorgeous with plenty of room on the deck as well as below- and yes, there's a full bathroom! The Captains were hospitable as can be as well as thorough in their safety explanations prior to leaving dock. They were incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, but would also be happy to keep to themselves to those looking for a more private date. We were able to bring a cooler along with snacks and drinks. Their rates are extremely competitive compared to other charter services. We learned Captain Chris is a high school teacher during the day and it makes total sense- his patience and knowledge are immediately evident. My husband is already planning to book again for a fishing charter, and I cannot wait to bring friends next time. Endless thank-yous to Captains Chris and Gabriella for making my birthday so wildly special!!! 5 stars just isn't enough. And remember - tip for great service!

Thank you for not sending us home disappointed! We will be back again someday.
