The morning of Saturday May 14,2022 was picture perfect. We had cooperation from 4 species ( steelhead, laker, coho, and King). There isn't a better crew on this end of the lake. My family and I will not hesitate to book other trips! -Big Jim / Little Jim-

Top notch group! Russ and Steve were excellent! First time on the Lake and will do it again! Highly recommend!

I went out deep lake fishing with 5 family members. It was the first time I've fished in the last 25-30 years and first time deep lake finishing. They were great teachers and very supportive and enthusiastic. In the end we each walked away with 3 lake trout and great memories. We'll be eating well all weekend and have some great fishing stories. They were also able to talk with great knowledge with my uncle, who is already an experienced fisherman, so they know their stuff. They even skinned and filleted the fish so now we just take it home and cook them.

This trip was amazing Jeremy and Russ did a killer job and put us on over 30 coho. Great environment and my first time on the lake. This compared to any off-shore charter I have been on in the past. They cleaned all the fish for us and we brought home enough salmon for weeks. Clean boat with bathroom and excellent tackle and equipment. A true please and great time was had by our entire good.

We couldn't even get the lines set up the fish were biting so fast. This was our first time out with Sea Hawk and Captain Russ and we can't wait to go back. This was an excellent experience and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to catch some fish. June 2017.

A good friend and I went fishing with Captain Russ Clark and Jeremy today. Russ and Jeremy hit the sweet spot for fish. We got 10 beautiful King Salomon and had us back at the dock in 3 hours. Great experience! Super clean boat, experienced crew, patient and really good fisherman. I would definitely recommend these guys... read more

Russ is just an unbelievably experienced Charter Captain with over 30 years of experience! Although there's never any guarantee that you will catch anything, I haven't come even close to that happening with Russ. Russ jumps through hoops to put you on the fish. In matched knowledge of this area and he has no problem with moving to multiple areas to find them. Even with these gas prices.. It's worth every penny. Comfortable boat, lots of deck and his 2nd mates are always top shelf!! Highly recommend! read more

We had a charter with Russ last August (2010) and it was a great time. Russ and his mate were very professional and pretty easy going. This was a treat from my sister-in-law for her two boys, myself, and my two sons. Russ was kind enough to call us the day before our 1/2 day charter and inform us that due to the forecasted high temperatures and humidity, he was going to push our start from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. This was a great idea and right away I felt like he knew what he was doing. On our four hour charter I believe we caught 5 Lake Trout, and one Salmon. Prior to going, I always wondered what it would feel like to pay someone to take you fishing and not catch anything. So after we caught our first fish I asked the first mate how long he'd been with Russ, and if they have ever been skunked? His response was I believe he was with Sea Hawk for 8 years and they've never returned to shore with paying customers and no fish. Pretty Impressive. They have top quality gear and fish locating equipment. If I ever have any ask for a charter that I'd reccomend, this would be it. read more

SeaHawk is the company to go with! They were professional and we caught the max fish! I have been on several other lake Michigan charters, and they blew them out of the water. The fish we caught were huge. They fostered a fun environment as well! Highly recommended! read more

Great trip. We caught our limit of 30 salmon in about 4 hours on the boat. Very experienced crew, nice equipment and great boat. Should have brought more beer to enjoy with all the salmon filets we walked away with. We would definitely go back out on the water with these guys. read more

NON-SMOKERS BEWARE: Overall Captain Russ and his first mate were organized, personable, and knowledgable. The boat was clean and the equipment was in working condition and easy to use. . The biggest dispappointment by far was the fact that both the captain and first mate smoked nearly continuously during the trip. Honestly, I would not have chartered the boat had I known this and I most certainly will not use their service again. At the price we were charged, we should be able to enjoy a day on the water in a smoke free environment. read more

I went fishing in May of 2014 with U.S.C.G Captain Russ Clark and his first mate Don. Everything was fantastic.. the equipment, the crew, top notch experience. We did the Lake Michigan Fishing trip with Captain Russ and First Mate Don.. We had a great time all around. Watching these two work the equipment with such skill and coordination was a learning experience. They found a way to maximize our hands on experience with minimal intervention. Making sure we got everything we expected and more out of our charter was their goal. They succeeded in helping us catch our limit. Taking care of all the details to make our trip special! Thank You for all you did for us.... The Salmon taste so good, so fresh. Going back end of July!!! read more

Walking the pier allows you to see a great view of the shoreline, but be careful on windy and wavy days as the water comes up over the pier . In the peak summer months, I would recommend parking up on top of the bluff and walking down the steps right by Silver Beach Pizza, so you can save yourself from the cluster of cars trying to get down to beach parking. Also, St. Joe city is changing parking and routing near Silver Beach so be aware of traffic shifts. All in all, a great beach for families, but 4/5 stars because some other beaches are less touristy, which locals like myself much prefer.

It says on the website it's $11 to get in, but it was $ at the gate. Took forever to get in. It's just meh for me.

We visited on a cold fall day and didn't see another soul when visiting. Easy parking with two entries out to the pier. We chose to climb the small staircase above the public restrooms and walk the beach to the pier. The sand will be in my shoes forever :) The walk out to the first lighthouse was easy and no concerns, from the first to the second we saw slippery spots and a much narrowed walk way - if you are comfortable, totally worth walking all the way to the end to look back to the beach. We walked back down the entire pier and past a beautiful sculpture to return to the parking lot. The entire walk and view took us about 40 minutes, but definitely a leisurely pace! Bring a camera, maybe a selfie stick and if it is cold you will want a jacket that can break the wind when you are walking out on the water.
