Visiting family for the holidays and being in the area we needed to grab some quick things. This was the convenient place to go for sure. Not much overall to say, almost everyone is aware of how Walmart is and has visited one. I typically would rate one star for many reasons for being a miserable place to shop. The reason I am giving two stars though is because the overall cleanliness and setup was far superior to any back in Maine. The care and attention to specifically the clothing section was surprising. I'm so use to clothes being thrown all over the place and not much looking neat. So this was quite the surprise. Still not a spot I care for but did think it deserved the slight recognition with two stars.

She was able to hear and talk a little bit and my mother was putting things in the cart as she scanned our stuff she scanned our fishing pole which had the option to put a warranty on it and she yelled at my mother to "pay attention" because she needed to click yes or no. Apparently being polite to customers isn't a requirement anymore.

Gotta love finding deals at Outlets especially the sale or clearance items as most stores had great deals to be had. It is hard to walk out empty handed with all the popular brands. With plenty of parking, a decent food court and many shops, Tanger is a nice shopping mall to find some deals.

The deals were really good too Old Navy was solid as usual and even Lululemon had that 2 for $100 leggings thing. They have QR codes everywhere so you can just scan and join their rewards/app on the spot and get coupons while you shop which is kinda nice, didn't feel complicated. The vibe was cute too there's like a fire pit in the middle (even though it was sunny lol), music playing, and I swear I smelled mini donuts at one point with some bangers playing lol Also random tip but if you're signed up with Lindt you can get free chocolate bag for your birthday (and like up to 30 days after). Only thing is the food area is super small, like a couple spots, so don't expect a full food court. But honestly you won't really care because there's a lot to walk through. Would go back for sure.

Movies are different now adays, when we all have big screen tvs and can make our own popcorn. Incidentally, the Shopper's drug store that's here is bigger, and has a better selection than the SDM downtown on King Street. The Rossy's is a Canadian department store (a chain, out of Montreal). We seem to be in there every week! Great service and good prices. I often get yarn there, but you can get clothes, and furniture, among other things. I will definitely be back to this mall.

1000 Islands Mall is the only mall in Brockville. Unfortunately, it is a sad little mall. Other stores included Ardene, Coles, Bentley, some stores I've never heard of before and some cell phone providers. In terms of fashions the stores were Pennington, Alia N Tanjay, and Northern Reflections. So not exactly a fashionista's dream. The food court has 3 options: deli sandwiches, Chinese food, and fish and chips. The end of the mall away from Sears was particularly sad as it had mostly vacant units. No hidden gems here, folks (at least not in my opinion). What you see is what you get, it's just a small-town mall.

People think it's cute but to their selfishness do not realize there are people with Allergies, phobias, plus they do not think at any given moment these animals can urinate anywhere merchandise included... and who will clean up the mess ? The poor employee ? I have nothing against animals / pets etc ... but enough is enough leave your pets at home , we as humans do not need pet germs, hair and dandruff all over the place , keep them at Home ! But on to the task at hand. When we first went in, we thought we'd be able to access the mall through the Hobby Hut, but it turns out that it is self-contained, so we headed back out, and went through the mall via the JC Penney. This store felt perfect after being out in the summer heat - nice and cool from the AC, but not at all clammy or stuffy. We proceeded into the mall corridors, where most of the stores seemed like one of businesses, although there were some chains like Hot Topic and Spencer's. Many of the units were vacant, and the big amusement attractions were closed. There were very few people, so it felt so quiet as to be a bit disquieting. We had begun our search at Hobby Hut, but weren't surprised not to find what we were after there. We then tried a couple of other shops, but in vain. Finally, a couple of staff from different stores mentioned a store in the mall they both referred to as "selling mugs" and might have what we were looking for. We finally reached said store (Katrick Customs), and were relieved that we were able to accomplish our mission there. We availed ourselves of the washrooms while we were there, and they were spacious and decently clean. The taps worked, the dispensers had soap, there were paper towel dispensers and air dryers that were all in working order. It's too bad the mall doesn't have as much to offer as it clearly did in days past. If I were a local, I'd likely only be going there to pick up specific items rather than browse for fun.
