Mall closest to my in-laws' house in Pointe Claire. A good variety of shops. Well kept and up to date. They also have a nice food court area. Kiddo enjoyed looking at the hug Christmas tree and reindeer decorations. Only thing missing is a movie theater. read more

Just recent I went to Homesense and shocked to see a dog roaming around , yes with a lease and no not a service dog . People think it's cute but to their selfishness do not realize there are people with Allergies, phobias, plus they do not think at any given moment these animals can urinate anywhere merchandise included... and who will clean up the mess ? The poor employee ? I have nothing against animals / pets etc ... but enough is enough leave your pets at home , we as humans do not need pet germs, hair and dandruff all over the place , keep them at Home ! Fairview Mall is a cute mall off of st jeans and it's one of the biggest malls around the west island I've been coming around to this mall for over a decade and it never disappoints they always add extra stores and try to keep up with the demand of their shoppers. From The food court .. that has been completely renovated to stores that have unfortunately closed down ( Sears java U and deco découverte going bankrupt a lot of stores in the past) but they always make sure to re-open new stores and bring in what the demand is looking for. The starbucks is always insanely busy and so is the apple store lol... they are always constantly changing and bringing new things. I love how they even have a pharmacy if you need to get some medication. They even have a passport canada service office so thats cool They got lots of great shopping options for clothing electronics and much more The parking at the mall is alright .. not always easy but theres a lot of space in the back of the mall facing the highway It's a fun place to lose yourself and I definitely recommend this place ! read more

While this is not my go-to mall, everything seems to work for me here as the selection of stores and layout makes it a breeze to pass some time. The location is pretty easy to access from the highway (unlike the Carrefour Laval), the food court selection is decent but seating area could use some freshening up. The washrooms are easy to access and parking is a breeze. They get an extra star for having a large Winners/Homesense as well as a Kegs Steakhouse attached. Yay read more

The mall has been around for ages and they've done some upgrades so it looks really nice now. Avoid weekends parking lot is a mess! They have a few sitting areas around the mall large over size couches with huge carpets and tables. It's a nice change to eat ur lunch their if you're working at the mall instead of the food court. Lots of people sit on those couches all day long tho not sure the reason for this but it's a bit annoying. The mall has 6 spots to enter by. Bus duo the bay the pandora, old navy, Bmo, sears. The food court has subway, el taco, kojax,chop crazy, muffin plus, New York fries and a few more just can't remember them all. Fairview is a lot less stressful then downtown if you go during the week a few hours before closing you're set. read more

I love this mall! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but once you get in there it's bigger than most the malls in Ottawa (if not all). Not only are there a plethora of great stores, but they also have a lot great choices for sustenance (because that is the key to any great shopping day). Even if you don't feel like shopping, the space is great for walking around, grabbing a coffee, and keeping an eye out for something that might catch your attention. We came here to kill some time before heading to the airport, and ended up grabbing a couple awesome sale items at a store we don't have at home. The layout is convenient and easy to navigate, the space is bright and clean, it's a great place to be without feeling like you're stuck indoors. They even have A/Maze escape rooms! Any mall that has activities other than shopping is a-o-k in my books! I would definitely come back! read more

The Premiere mall in the W Island Fairview Pointe Claire has come a long way in the recent years. Their proprietor Cadillac Fairview has done an admirable job in fixing up their malls so they provide an upscale retail experience. You can see this with many malls in their portfolio. Fairview boasts high ceilings and large cavernous space that is tastefully decorated! FPC boasts over 200 shops and has moved to more upscale shopping such as Banana Republic, Coach, Michael Kors. The food court serves as an excellent place for a cheap lunch. Your typical selection: Asian, Lebanese, sushi, A & W, tacos. Something for most palettes. For me it's a nice mall that requires a decent amount of walking. Good for light walking exercise! *******Beware of shoplifting for stuff left in vehicles as it's a big place. Not that I have had first hand experience but malls are one of the worst places for break in's especially during the month of December. read more

I went to this mall 10 years ago. This is really a nice mall. They have a lot of different stores. A big plus is they have Lego and Apple Store. Places for the kids to enjoy. They have a mix of high end and bargain priced stores. Mall is neat and clean. It reminds me of Hillsdale shopping center. Parking is easy peasy. read more

It's big, clean, bright, full of nice 30 year old trees (huge plants). There's a Victoria Secret, the Bay, Sears (there was), Aldo, Starbucks, FREE WI-FI anywhere inside the mall (but WAY faster at Starbucks). Food court. Best Buy is in the back of the mall (unconnected, during our freezing winters it sucks to have to walk outside to get there). Tons of people to look at and bump into. But most of all it's right off the 40 highway and St-Jean blvd. And there's "The Keg" restaurant! Good times! Also there is a big bus terminal in the back. Lots of great memories here. read more

This is a shopping mall. Fairview has changed quite a bit in the past 10 years. I worked there in 1999-2000 and as I remember it, right then, a lot of shops had closed and it was somewhat boring (you know, more than your usual suburbia mall). Since maybe the mid 2000's, new stores have put up shops and it's actually fun to go shopping there (I wrote shopping, not hanging out! ;) - I know I'll find what I'm looking for and I'll have a few options to choose from. So Fairview doesn't reinvent the wheel. It's not the West Edmonton Mall nor the Galleries de la Capital (Québec City) either ; its architecture isn't magical, it's not huge... BUT you will find everything in here! From your bookstore (Renaud-Bray), to your cheap essentials (Winners!), to The Bay, Gap, Sephora (this is the only place where you'll find one in the 514 btw), Apple Store, Kernels Popcorn (!), etc. etc. Plus, it also has quite a decent food court. Et voilà... simple and basic; what you see is what you get. read more

I've been here many times in the last few years. It is a convenient place to browse and walk around, not only because of the stores, but also because of the many services available in the mall. I have frequented the banks, Passport office, Vidéotron, Magenta Photos, and Pharmaprix. I confess that I also enjoy the food court despite most of the restaurants being chains, with Thai Express and Tandori being some of my favourites. Plenty of coffee shops to be found scattered throughout. This mall additionally gets bonus points for having two large and quiet nursing rooms for babies, near the food court. The Lego store and Sports Experts/Atmosphère keep my young kids entertained, but the only thing missing in this mall is an indoor play area for toddlers if you do end up having to drag them shopping here. read more

Came here on a Monday to escape the heat outdoors. Ended up buying a Venti Iced Tea Lemonade at Starbucks and a pair of sandals from Aldo. An excellent shopping experience with a great variety of stores for the whole family. I would imagine someone could spend the whole day here if they had the time. The mall also has great places to eat as well as a large food court if you get hungry. Parking might be a challenge but I was luck enough to find a spot right by the middle entrance near the Bank of Montreal. read more

Fairview is another mall belong to the the Cadillac family much like Carrefour Laval. However this location seems to be organized a little bit better. There's all your favourite stores and the space is used well. Food court offers a variety of restaurants to fit all tastes. Lots of festive decoration up at the moment to get you in that festive mood. read more

Every time I'm back home in the MTL, Fairview is one of my first stops. Maybe it's based on the years I spent shopping there as a kid, or maybe the hours I waited in the terminal for the bus -- either way, I love the collection of fun stores (chains and not) the variety in the food court (in the US you get Subway, burgers or Asian. Shish Taouk is just a dream for us!), and most importantly - the epic smoked meat sandwich at the Deli. YAY Fairview! read more

The place is sadly FILLED with little "gangster" 14 year olds thinking they own the spot but there is nothing that can be done. Closing hours at 5 on week-ends are a pretty big bummer. My first visit to CF Fairview Pointe Claire was quite average. From Saint-Jean Boulevard , you only see a large building dropped in the middle of a rather huge parking lot with The Bay large yellow sign on the front side. I would have preferred the building closer to the Saint-Jean Boulevard with more car parking on the Trans-Canada Highway side. Entrance through the Bay door lands you directly in the men's shirts section in their trays : rather boring . I would have placed there the women's cosmetics section for a little glamour. Once well inside the shopping centre, one looks for a Food Court gathering all retail coffee, fast food outlets bunched together for convenience and seating areas BUT NO such arrangement is offered. I got a sense of lack of personality, of special events at lunch time on Saturdays like a choir or band show, or fashon show with seating area . Too old-fashioned! read more

Once or twice every year I will find myself in Pointe-Claire and will generally stop off at this mall. Most of the times when I drop by here, I will go to the Best Buy but will wonder around to the Pharmaprix or the Apple Store. The negative thing about the Best Buy store is that it isn't connected to the mall so if you're in the mall and you want to go to Best Buy, you actually have to go outside which isn't a big deal except if it is raining, snowing, or cold. During a recent trip on a Friday afternoon, I was at Fairview Pointe-Claire since my friend and I felt like having some smoke meat and we were in the area and he told me that there was this good smoke meat place there. Unfortunately when we got there, we couldn't find it. When we asked at the information booth, we found out that it had closed down (Fairview Deli). Since I was taking my friend out for his birthday, we wanted to eat at a sit-in restaurant with servers. I asked him where he wanted to go since Fairview Deli was closed. He suggested the Keg Steakhouse and asked if I had a problem with it. I mentioned that I didn't. The lady in the information booth heard us and mentioned to us that the Keg Steakhouse only opens after 5pm. She mentioned the food court. Since I was taking my friend out for his birthday, I didn't really want to treat him to a meal at the food court. I wouldn't have any issues eating a quick lunch there but it just wasn't what we were looking for. We decided to leave Fairview Pointe-Claire since even though I had the day off, my friend was on his lunch break from work and the time that he needed to be back at work would soon be approaching. My thoughts of Fairview Pointe-Claire is that it is a very nice mall and very clean. The ATMs/GABs that I saw while strolling around were TD Canada Trust's Green Machines. I did notice 2 bank branches for Scotia Bank and Bank of Montreal there. The food court has a few of the typical places that you find in big Montreal shopping malls that I go to (Thai Express, A&W, & Kojax) and some others that I will occasionally try. Like most of the other malls on the island of Montreal, the food court in this mall has free WiFi. During lunch, your only option if deciding to eat inside the mall is to eat at the food court since their only sit-in (server) restaurant doesn't open during lunchtime. :-( Parking at this mall is somewhat difficult if you want to be close to the Pharmaprix and Best Buy side of the mall. There is a lot of parking in the mall but this is generally around the area of the La Baie department store which I find somewhat inconvenient for the entrance that I use to get into the mall. This mall has been on the news a few times because of robberies which occurred at Birks. However, this is a very safe mall and I've never felt unsafe in this mall and as mentioned I find this mall to be very nice and clean (& safe). The mall also has an STM bus terminal where multiple buses will stop so it makes going to this mall by public transportation very easy. When using public transportation to get to this mall, I will generally take one of the buses that start off at the Cote Vertu metro and wind up at Fairview Pointe-Claire as either one of their stops or as their final stop. As I mentioned, there are quite a few buses that stop at the Fairview Pointe-Claire shopping center. read more

Sometimes you just want to wander around a mall with your mom and little sister and try on summer dresses and buy socks and let mom look at strange crystal bird things. When I'm in a certain mental state the suburban mall has a weird appeal - all those things mall designers do to make you feel like time has stopped and like you could be anywhere in the world suddenly work for me: no street facing windows, just skylights; no clocks, just infinite intimate apparel options and Mmmmmuffins for miles. Fairview is staffed by it's target market: young West Islanders, so it is a little more fun than the stateliness of a Rockland and a little kinder and more interested in you than a mall downtown. End of the day, it's a mall, but for what it is it's plenty fine. read more

Closest Apple store is located here. Nice big parking lot although it can be hell at times to get in and out. Good selection of stores and places to eat. It is one of the nicer malls around my area, however Carrefour Laval in my opinion is still the champion. Life tip: hide your valuables when parking as it is a magnet for car thieves and break ins. read more

It is a great store but the basic service is not there. At the cash the first thing the cashier names Ashley says to us is not hello how are you but With what will you be paying. She was not busy and she was fooling around with her co-workers and treated us like if we were some pain in the butt. She really did not want it to be there. They should make clear how customer service is done. Other wise it is really good store. read more

I was out at Winners tonight with my wife for some shopping. Once I got to the cash register the bad experience started. I handed out a 100 dollars bill, the old model. Anywhere else I paid with big bills the person just passed a marker on the bill, checked it in the light and that was it. Not here ... it was like they have never seen one before. 3 employees looked at it for minutes and decided to call the manager to check it. After an embarrassing 15 minutes of waiting in line for the manager to come, he finally decided to show up, took a marker and passed it on the bill and what a wonder: it's a good one. I asked him if he was the only one qualified to pass a marker on the 100$ bill to check it and he said yes, "only management" can do it. Well, I guess he is very proud of himself, the test he had to pass to be "qualified" for this operation must have been veeeeery difficult! Hold on tight on that marker Mr. Manager, you are so qualified to do it! As for me, I guess that was the last time I am going to Winners in Fairview! read more
