Between the views, the food, and the atmosphere, it made for a memorable evening on the water. The staff were wonderful throughout the night. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, and the bartender was especially personable. One of my favorite moments was awkwardly pulling out my Tupperware container to take home leftovers. Instead of looking at me funny, the staff actually encouraged it and mentioned that there's often extra food that would otherwise go uneaten. As someone who hates wasting food, I appreciated that a lot. The food was surprisingly good. We had jerk chicken, sliced brisket, and salmon, and all three proteins were generously portioned and flavorful. The jerk chicken had a nice balance of savory spices with just a little heat, the brisket was tender and smoky, and the salmon was moist and well prepared. The salads were fresh as well, especially the chickpea and tomato salad, which had a bright, refreshing flavor that paired nicely with the richer entrées. My favorite side dish was definitely the elote. It was creamy, slightly tangy, and packed with sweet corn flavor. Every bite had that combination of richness and freshness that makes you keep going back for more. The views were fantastic. Cruising along the river gives you a unique perspective of both Philadelphia and New Jersey, especially as the sun starts to go down. The top deck was my favorite area. There were lawn games like cornhole and Connect Four set up, which gave people something fun to do between eating, dancing, and taking photos. The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is the condition of the restrooms. Several were noticeably dirty, some toilets struggled to flush properly, and a few stall doors wouldn't latch. Since most people aren't spending a huge amount of time in the bathrooms during a dinner cruise, it wasn't a trip-ruining issue, but it was definitely the weakest part of the experience. Other than that, I had a great time. Good food, great staff, beautiful views, and a fun atmosphere. If you're looking for something a little different for a celebration or group event, it's definitely worth trying at least once. The scenery alone makes it feel like more than just dinner.

She kept thanking us all the way home. We had the best time. Your captain and crew made this trip exceptional. No one knew there was a storm with such a smooth sail. Nothing but fun. The ship was parked perfectly and adjusted at all times to see the fireworks which could not have been better! The food had something for everyone, my salmon was cooked perfectly and boy did everyone dance. The timing and safety of how this ship was managed and its crew due to the storm makes city cruises exceptional to have a great time and know you have the safest crew. A shout out starting with the photographer who took pictures where everyone looked good no small feat and in 105 heat. Our server and bartender could not have worked harder. They were friendly and enthusiastic from beginning to the end. Lastly getting guests off the ship in the rain was handled with tremendous care. My mom and others with challenges were treated with kid gloves. Thank you city cruises. This might have to be an annual event.

The ride goes down the canal where the Delaware river and Chesapeake meet. You can see the sites, eagles, ospreys, tug boats and houses. It's a nice little ride. It doesn't go too fast. He pointed out a bald eagle in top of a power pole, the level of a few floods, and some turtles on a log. How useless. It was only 20 minutes each way. Everyone was nice and my son even was able to take the wheel for a while. A positive was that we were able to jump on the boat with no reservation. There are 4 large booth tables and plenty of other folding chairs and tables to relax by. They have a bathroom on board the ship with its very own window. Tables were reserved for us in the back of the ship which was ideal. Everyone received a complimentary cocktail and there are several snack food choices available to purchase (ie fish and chips, pretzels, etc. In the lower level, is the bar and you place your food order and the staff brings your food directly to your table, piping hot. The scenic route is just so relaxing and the vibe on the ship is so friendly and upbeat. The star of the ship, however, is DJ Esco. Oh my!! DJ Esco played music from my era (1970's) thru the 80's 90's to present. He knows how to get a party started and keep it going!! It was one big lovefest, from the children to the seniors on the dance floor and if not dancing, singing from your seat or while taking in the views. Happy Birthday was sung to all the birthday folks and though the time just flew by it felt like we had been cruising longer than two hours. A time was had and will not be forgotten! This was my mom and I's first time aboard the Emerald princess and it was something I've had my eyes on for quite sometime. I was very interested in their fall foliage cruises but was unable to get around to booking. A brunch cruise came up on my instagram feed around the time of my mom's birthday and decided to treat her. We departed at 11am and circled around by West Point and came back. It was a beautiful Saturday morning with smooth waters and blue skies. The boat was very spacious, comfortable and welcoming. On the table they had a lot of Peekskill attractions to encourage you to venture out around the town. After departing at 11am we were served complimentary mimosas and the brunch buffet was opened shortly after that. The spread was wonderful. They served eggs, bacon, sausage, two types of quiche, pancakes, seasoned potatoes, penne vodka, chicken francese, assorted muffins and fresh fruit. Everything was served hot, fresh and delicious. The buffet was not self service but it was opened right up until a few mins before the cruise ended. There was plenty of food and no shame in going back for seconds or thirds! They had a friendly bartender that had soft drinks, waters, wines/beers and cocktails made to order. The views were amazing from the upper and lower decks. We had access to the entire boat. The owner came around to greet everyone and surprised us when she announced that if anyone wanted to drive the boat the opportunity would soon come! My mom was thrilled. There is a picture of my mom actually steering the boat in a captains hat lol! I loved seeing her happy and knew I made the right choice booking us tickets with R.M.S cruises. I really couldn't recommend it more and if you need some extra convincing please refer to the picture of my mom with the captains hat on. Her happiness from this brunch cruise is infectious!
