Booked a trip for bottom fishing and had an amazing time! The confirmation email was detailed and told you everything you needed to know before the trip. Check in in the morning was a breeze. We went out on the Salty dog and the captain and deck hand were extremely friendly and helpful! The ride out was beautiful but we were really lucky with weather. Sea was calm and it didn't rain . We fished a couple of spots and it only took a few hours to get our limit which was perfect. We were back on shore by noon. I'd totally go out to try a different fishing trip with them and would recommend to others. Also, anyone who deducted stars for not catching enough fish obviously doesn't fish much because sometimes, ya just get skunked. It REALLY sucks, especially when you paid for it, but that's just part of the game unfortunately. read more

Dear Bob I wanted to share our experience with you. It was my first time to Lake Erie. I wanted it to be a good experience for my buddy Dewey, Bob and myself. We typically go to Canada; however you can only bring 4 fish back. We fished 3 days and brought our limit in every day. We took 54 walleye fillets home. Captain Robert was awesome. He did a great job with us. He brought us in to use the bathroom and took us back out to finish our day. We waited until 11 am on Sunday for the wind to lay down and we went out and worked until we got our limit. He was knowledgeable and helpful. He is a good guy! I would recommend him for anyone coming to Lake Erie. We will be requesting him when we come back. Now the accommodations were above average. I've been to a lot of fish camps and the trailer we stayed in was spacious, clean and comfortable. All I can say is wow. What a great time. The only negative is that if you need groceries, it is a bit of a hike to get something. Plan to have everything you need and no issues. Thanks for a great experience Kurt Baird read more

Live bait tuna fishing with Sea Breeze is advertised but it's a lie! Troll around all day and hope a albie strikes the bait is all they do. We were told that live bait fishing is too much work. Lazy, and I'm convinced they don't know what they are doing. We've been customers here for over 15 years now. Friendly, family run business with several top notch charter vessels. We've been on the salmon, sturgeon and bottomfishing trips. Their skippers are each unique and fun in their own way, and all knowledgeable about 'where the fish are'. Our favorite is Capn Dan S who skippers the Nauti Lady. Prices are reasonable, starting at $120 for an all day salmon trip (if you think its expensive, go ahead and get your own boat, office, crew, staff, moorage, gas, taxes etc For salmon, the deckhand(s) will usually take care of everything, put the bait on, net the fish, bag the sucker, put a mark on it identifying it as yours, and then gut and clean it. All you gotta do is not yank the hook out of the salmons mouth and reel it in. If you are alert, watching your pole, and check your bait every 10-15 min or so, you'll have better luck. Tip that deckhand! I dont know what the 'standard' is, but I usually tip $15-20 depending on how much attention I required. Remember, you'll need a valid WA state fishing license with appropriate add-ons to fish. If you dont know your seaworthiness, make sure to take dramamine or other antinausea pill. Dress in layers for ocean fishing. The only thing they 'serve' on board is hot coffee, bring anything else you might want. read more

WE went on a Tuna trip at the end of August. Fishing was slow, but the captain fished hard and sometimes fishing is slow, so that's not why the 2 stars. Got to the office, front desk folk friendly and helpful, got on the boat, no welcome, no heres where to put your stuff, nothing. Then a skipper talk, no welcome, no warmth, very much felt like he would rather not be fishing that day. About an hour into the trip the toilet (head) broke, something electric i think, no apology, no explanation, he just stuck a bucket in there and considered it ok, wich is fine for guys but pretty dammed uncomfy for the women. Fished all day. Got back to docks, still no apology for broken head. I didnt post right away because I wanted to give them time to reach out, but they never did. There are lots of other companies doing tuna trips, we will book with someone else next time. read more

When booking halibut trip, we were told that in addition to catching one halibut, we would also be fishing for ling cod. This did not happen. Another couple from Idaho were told the same thing. Very disappointing and reflects poorly on this outfit. read more

My dad and I have been using Sea Breeze for 20+ years. We generally try to get on the Salty Dog, as the captain has always been excellent and our fishing has been epic. Our most recent trip (July 2021) was a bit impromptu though. Although we reserved our seats on Salty Dog, we wound up getting moved to Four Sea'sons due to some scheduling issues. It didn't bother us at all. The skipper, Virginia, was the first female captain we had ever had on a charter - and she was fantastic! She was aggressive (and successful!!) in putting the boat onto fish in a fishery that hadn't seen great results recently. The deckhand was on top of his game, and almost always within earshot if we needed bait or a net. I think all but two passengers in the boat caught at least one fish, and everyone left with at least that many too. Not only would I recommend, but our next charter with Sea Breeze is already booked! 10/10. read more

Fished on the Bluefin with Capt. Brian 3 weeks ago for salmon and the Salty Dog with Capt Dustin 2 days ago for albacore. These were my first 2 trips with Seabreeze and couldn't be happier. To put it in perspective the salmon and tuna fishing hasn't been great this year so far. I am pretty experienced at fishing and both of these trips were so much fun. Both skippers made the best out of a scratch bite which is all you can do. The ladies at the counter are great too. My only suggestion would be to send an email booking confirmation. I had my family with me on the salmon trip and my daughter and her BF caught their first salmon, that was really special. My wife was unfortunately sea sick for half the day but managed to land more fish than me. Ha ha, she often out fishes me. Brian is a great guy and fun to fish with. My albacore trip was just a blast. Fishing live anchovies is the most fun way to catch them vs trolling. We worked a small school of albies all day and everyone had fish to take home. Not it wasn't "whack em and slack em" but most of the fish were very good quality in the 15-25 pound range. I hooked a 27 pound albie on my 20 pound test spinning rod and had a memorable battle. If you are experienced or a newbie angler this is one of the best fishing charters on the west coast. Yes, crossing the Columbia bar can be rough but nothing that transdermal scopolamine can't handle. Great boats and crew with a friendly front office. Don't forget to tip the crew even if you don't catch fish. They work hard and catching is never a given. Check it out. read more

The entire group of my family and friends had the best time fishing for sturgeon. We were aboard the Nauti-Lady with Skipper Dan and his sons, Eli and Josh. Skipper Dan knew where to take the boat for the best opportunity at catching the sturgeon and Eli and Josh kept our poles baited and casted all day. I don't think we had a line out of the water for more than 30 seconds all day. They also helped net all the fish we caught. There was 7 of us on the boat and we caught 24 sturgeon between us (only 3 were keepers but it was still a blast to continue to reel up these beast of a fish). We had such a great time that we are already planning to book another charter next year, maybe tuna or halibut this time... I forgot to add one thing - When the fishing is over and everyone heads back in, watch the crew because if you are lucky enough they will feed the seagulls by holding the bait in the hands and having the gulls fly down and grab it from them. If you are super lucky you can hold the bait yourself! It is a great picture to capture. read more

They sent our fish up the street to processors (Tre-Fin) who ripped us off. We paid to process and bag 24 fish and then was shorted by 6 fish. I paid nearly $1000 for 4 of us to go out and the captain was great and even tried to put us on some salmon on the way back in from our bottom fishing trip. So the fishing part was good but to be ripped off by the processors who have some kind of deal with Sea Breeze was not so good. I reached out to Sea Breeze twice about our experience and was ignored completely. Not a word, no apology or anything. Nothing but crickets. Why they don't use the processors right next door is a mystery to me. I went out with another charter service the following week and used them. It was cheaper and I got all my fish. If you dare go with Sea Breeze Charters, beware. I recommend you take your fish with you when you leave the boat and stay far far away from Tre-Fin for your fish processing. read more

None of us are ever going back to this one. This is a BARE BONES boat. There was a small coffee looking pot fastened to one wall that nobody used. Zero bottled water, zero anything beyond what looked like a small amount of coffee. Then you get back to port, and you tip generously to the guides, knowing that they have to still fillet your fish... then you find out they dont even do that. Its outsourced down the street, and guess what... another 50 bucks. Not a fan of that at all. read more

yes...I went upon the Nauti-Lady...haha. What a great day! The skipper was very knowledgeable and the crew (his son and other girl) were just as knowledgeable. Left around 6am and got back at 9:30, a lot of action with "fish ons" all over the place! It was a great charter to take my gf fishing for the first time and she caught a king salmon! The whole boat and crew were very patient and helpful. There were 14 of us, but we were all able to get action and catch the limit on salmon. I'll definitely be coming back. We used Sea Breeze charter this weekend to go salmon fishing. Immediately, we hear that this season has been pretty bad. There were 8 of us and in 6-7 hours, we had probably 10 hook-ons, 3 we caught, and 1 we could keep. The captain and his deckhand were friendly and helpful. I only gave them 4 stars was because if I'm paying $100+ for a chartered fishing boat, I'd expect a little more than just free coffee (you have to bring your own lunch and drinks). read more

I've fished the Ilwaco area for the last 3 years and fished with different guides each time. No more! I've found my permanent fishing friends with SeaBreeze. The initial "family" feel of the organization was a plus. Then, we proceeded to limit on both trips (tuna and salmon trips). The Captains and crew were exceptional. Not only very knowledgable, but personable and made the trip really fun! We're in the process of planning another trip for Sept and I will fish with them again. We start the day with info. On how we will all share the days catch. We had a bad day with one small catch. There were six of us on the boat so that makes my hubby and self 1/3 of the days catch. When we get back, there is radio silence on how we are going to share the tuna. The staff waits around for people to quietly and awkwardly leave. The minute I went to the bathroom they take the fish to the cannery at a fast walking pace. We follow up to get our share and they shut the back doors as they see us peering through the front windows looking for them. I am so glad I did NOT tip them as they did NOT do as they told us. The catch was on a trolling rod so it didn't belong to anyone in particular. I'll never use them again... and I suggest you don't... it's the principle that counts! read more

My husband and I went bottom fish over Labor Day weekend on the Naughty Lady with Catain Ron and his first mate Eli. I can not begin to tell you how much fun it was knocking them out of the water right and left! Those two know the sweet spot and our boat limited out in 45 minutes! Such a great time! Oh yeah, I am a girl and I like a clean boat and restroom, both the condition of the boat and the knowledge of our captain made this a grand adventure! I did not get sick for the first time. Went out today on the Ankeny Street with captain Joe Cook and deckhand "PM" and had an amazing day on the water. We had an extended family group of five with only two experienced fishermen, myself (occasional, like once a year, fisherwoman), and two complete newbies who had never touched a pole. The crew were fast, helpful, and had amazing attitudes. Clearly people who enjoy their jobs. They did a good job of teaching us, coaching us through catching (for those of us who needed it), and keeping bait on our hooks. 5 star experience. It was exciting and very fast paced (for fishing). We caught the limit, finishing with two chinook and eight co-ho (salmon). We also had many "native" fish and small fish that we had to put back. Our boat did very well and was back by around 12:30pm. Everyone received their two fish, even the guy who was sick the whole time. Overall, I would highly recommend this trip for this time of year. Call beforehand to see how the boats are doing. This was a fishing trip worth repeating. Salmon trolling may just be my new favorite. read more

Went out yesterday. Had a 2 fish limit. Got one but feel the captain got lazy after all but two of us had our catches. He took us to where no one else was fishing and I felt he was moving a bit to fast for a trolling speed. I never got my second fish. Some of the others caught extra fish. I guess those went to the captain. Heck I'm the paying guest. Watched another boat come in ,a large one. They all had their limit. Too bad. I'll try another charter next time. read more

So the captain was great and so was the deckhand but for the money I would go to Westport. Only get 7 rockfish here when you get 10 at Westport. Also we left at 6 am and we were back before 11. At Westport once you limit on rockfish you target Lings until you have to go back. Here it's rockfish and done. Also Westport they fillet the fish on the ride home so you can take off as soon as you get back. Again here they haul them up to canner and you have to wait around a hour for the fish to be processed. Beautiful spot to fish but when you can go up the road and get more fish for less money it's hard to want to come back. read more

We booked with Sea Breeze for our dad's 60th. We went out on the Ankeny Street with Captain Bob and Deckhand Pat and can easily recommend requesting this boat for your trip. The crew was great and knowledgable and kept the day fun as well as making sure they did everything possible to accommodate us and others on the vessel.
