I had initially asked for recommendations for electrician but appreciated that he reached out privately to explain what I would need done. Adam immediately offered to come over and look at what I would need done and provided a free estimate. His communication / response time was quick and professional. Throughout the estimate he was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. After receiving the quote, he provided his card and without pressuring whatsoever said to call if I was interested. I reached out the same day to get scheduled. He was again quick to respond and booked me within the same week. He even reached out again to help move my installation to a Sunday morning due to the weather forecast. A portion of that was for equipment (understandable) but the bigger chunk was for monitoring service. The reason to be aware - ADT started separating out equipment charges from monitoring charges. Which I think is smart, however if they're no longer providing hardware as part of a contact why is the monitoring service locked in for 5 years! If we pay for the equipment what's the service contract for? Just so the average person knows what we're going through, we moved into a home, had ADT come out and still their equipment, unfortunately we need to relocate for a job, the new home we're moving into uses a different service provider so we needed to cancel ADT. There's 2 charges of $1870 and $2170, the first being the remainder of our service contract and the 2nd being our equipment charges. BTW the equipment charges make it think we have Fort Knox, but in all reality we have 2 cameras, door and window sensors (wireless) and a control panel. We should've done our homework because we could've had the same equipment for 20% the price. ANY NEW CUSTOMERS - I highly recommend you price shop and look at all the fine details, if you need to move or cancel before your 5 years, be prepared for a crazy bill.
