They said the only way was to bring the drink back for a new drink so I told him I would be there within minutes to have the drink replaced, but my dad had a drink in his half. They insinuated that I had only wanted a free drink over the phone and in person after I told them I wanted my correct drink not so sweet. They refuse to give me a new drink and basically said that I was just trying to get a free drink which that was far from true they said that they made the drink correct and that they weren't at fault however, I believe they used way too much syrup and caramel sauce and it was so sweet. I have visited over 15 different scooters locations and have been drinking scooters coffee for over eight years now with 4.5k reward points.. I am highly dissatisfied with these two locations in Hutchinson Kansas that I no longer will be spending my money and bringing my father there I feel disrespected and not cared for as a customer. So returning to a restaurant that is a conversion from the former hardware store where I used to hang out is very much a nostalgic trip for me. The decor is casual and very comfortable. The menu has comfort food choices. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. There's a nice bar area where many people gather. I had a delicious grilled cheese sandwich and a lovely side of potato salad. If you have any kind of a soft spot in your heart for small town, America, you will love visiting here. I've had muffins previously. They have one for display, however I am never served that one. The one served I believe they are kept frozen until ordered. Today there were three staff standing at the counter. I was second in line. The girl in front of me was indecisive on what type of ice cream to order. Two of the staff made eye contact but nope. They waited to see what the girl wanted then one served her and the other did nothing (plus the cashier). I understand one cashier. How about "hey can I get you started with something?" Nope. Then I ordered a short Americano. The beans tasted like they have set in the machine for some time. I didn't look to see how they were ground. I wouldn't be surprised if they were preground. They were stale and absent of life. Then I am not sure how much coffee was used but it was so thin I could see the bottom of the cup. I love to support small town. But I'm done here. A cup of drip coffee from bulk beans at a cafe is way better. I hope you change. Maybe I'll try once next year hopeful that you change.
