I frequent here when I have out of town guests because I know they'll find something they love in the shop. They have a variety of different brands and sizes, which I sincerely appreciate because it's not fun shopping when all you can find are XS/S items when you're a L/XL. There are many options for jewelry (my newest purchase was a beautiful Kendra Scott necklace & earrings) and they also have purses, candles, perfumes etc...a great place to stop in and find a gift for someone. My latest visit here was a great experience, not only from the options they offer, but their staff is so friendly - one of which was Amy on our last visit - she was so great in helping us customize our outfits and helping us & entertaining us :) I wish more businesses had people like her!

If you were a fan of The Velvet Button on Monroe Street before they closed you will like this store. They have several brands here that they carried ( leggings, cami's). Their hours are a bit different as they close earlier than most stores so if your heading out there double check their hours. Waunakee definitely has a lot going for it!

Although, we visit every 2-3 years, we went there to find better shoes, recommended by his podiatrist, specifically mesh gym shoes. My husband had an awesome young salesman, who gave him a ton of suggestions. He knew how it felt to have foot issues. While they didn't have the same foot issues, this salesman certainly exceeded expectations, and went way out of his way to help him out. He was very satisfied, as usual, with his visit to the Shoe Box. The staff are always helpful and extremely friendly.

I told her I just wanted to browse. She said if I needed anything, to let her know and she would get sizes and then left me be, which I appreciated. As I was looking at styles another employee approached me. Every time I touched a shoe, she would ask me if I wanted to try it on. She wouldn't leave me alone and was very annoying, looking over my shoulder and commenting. At one point i decided to just look over the shoes while sitting in a chair so she wouldn't follow me around and comment. When I did pick a shoe to try on, she brought out a 1/2 size up one in a wide. I knew neither would fit, and they didn't. The first employee had it right and I wish I could have given her a sale, as I know they work on commission. The second employee was annoying, so much so that I don't think I will shop there again. I ended up buying a pair that I wasn't looking for in the first place, just to get out of there. I would have stayed longer to shop if not for this annoying employee.

It was nice to have such a beautiful shop right here in Middleton - it was very well done. However, about a year ago, they cut their selection drastically when they downsized into a smaller space. Now you must special order if you want pieces from brands like Juliska, I don't even think they still carry the other brands. I don't recall there still being children's items. Store is small and mostly just women's clothing now. I used to visit/purchase multiple times per year; however, there isn't much reason to stop anymore.

I went up to who I now assume is one of the owners, an older woman dressed in a headwrap, and asked for a fitting room. When I did, she looked me up and down grabbed the tag of the dress and said (in front of other customers) "You need a different size, this is a medium. We have petite sizes, if you damage the dress you have to buy it". I have never felt so self conscious in my life. Literally being punched in the gut would have been better then that feeling. Don't go to this store unless you want to be body shamed publicly by an absolute b*tch of a human. For reference, I am a 24 yr old woman with an athletic build who wears a dress size 8, and I know that dress would have fit me no problem, like it even matters.
