I have wanted to check this place out for weeks and finally got to it! It is a drive to Buckeye but totally worth it to explore this little slice of heaven. It totally made me feel like I was back home in Minnesota with all the homemade goodies. I loved the items it covered from food, to candles, to so much more! I like the vibe of this boutique. It's small and cute, as a matter of fact, it's one of the few small businesses in Buckeye. The selection is small and simple. They have wall decors, candles, lotions, scrubs, caps, clothes and a lot of cute little stuff. I got a small $8.00 perfume roller. The owner is super friendly. She asked if I was new to the area so she gave me plenty of places to visit. read more

Man I really really didn't expect to leave anything but a 5 star review for this wonderful place- granted review if for the coffee shop only (the owners and the actual shop are incredible and I want everything !) I came in today with my little ones to browse and I was looking forward to getting a coffee drink at that shop. I haven't been able to have coffee in a really really long time and I was excited to finally have some. Well the guy at the coffee shop was incredibly short and acted like I was a nuisance by asking questions. He didn't even face me as he half answered my questions. I don't know if he was tired, in a bad mood, hungover what have you but wow if you're going to be working in public leave alone a coffee bar put on a happy face or at least give customers your full attention when they have questions. I could've ordered something there but I chose to go to the coffee shop around the corner for my drink instead. Not at all what I'd expect from that place and I doubt I'll try to go to the coffee bar again! :( read more

Amazing! the best small business selling lots of fun vintage items and hand made clothings, soaps, lotions, necklaces, belts, key chains, stickers, wedding party swag, furniture, and purses. the kids clothes are gorgeous. everything is priced and a fair valley. had a latte and it was amazing. My daughter and I bought some stickers for friends and family to out on their water canteens. Sweet Sauce shirts! Old part of buckeye is gorgeous could really use some new hip places to go with screws and sparkles. Let me just start by saying when I went in the owner did not give off a good vibe. She was very cold and was very rude. That was my first impression. My second impression was the fact the owners don't support the police. That was another major turn off. Going out to the Buckeye police and telling them to move their car because it's making their business look bad was another turn off for me. You don't like the police but who you gonna call when something bad happens to your business?????? Needless to say I will not be supporting their business or giving them any of my money. I wonder if her vendors know how she's treats her customers when they come in. read more

I finally made it out to Screws & Sparkles today. It was completely worth the 45 min drive. I'm having a hard time putting into words why this shop is so charming and comfy to be in. It could be the fact that local vendors sell their unique, handmade goods here. It could be the amazing smell of the homemade lotions, candles, and soaps. I bought a shirt that said " Housewives of Arizona" have gotten so many compliments. You can find so many things, clothes, frames, candles, furniture and so much more. The owner runs her own store and is always super nice and welcoming. Talks to you like you're one of her friends which is awesome! Felt very welcomed. Clean and very well organized and the best part is she is moving right next door to a bigger spot! We went here after being recommended by the next door restaurant (an equally with visiting Cafe 25:35). Being from downtown or "old town" as they call it, people like to say there's nothing down here or it's just like the name.. Old. But this place is not! Screws and Sparkles is a shop you are going to want to visit. A perfect shop if you need to pick up a gift or splurge on yourself. As far as I can identify everything is made locally here in Arizona. Walking through the store you will find current trends- no crochet toilet tissue covers here. You will pick up something for everyone in your house and your best friend and grandma and the list doesn't stop. As I write this review the store is about to triple in size as the owner is expanding to the space next door. I am excited to see what she will fill her shop with. I drove over an hour and stood in line in 109 degree heat for another hour (ate @leyvastacos and @norasmacarons while I waited in line) for the grand reopening and it was sooooo worth it. I love the vibe of the shop, the setup, I love it all! Sophia's vendors are not only so creative but their stuff is quality made and inexpensively priced! I was afraid I'd spend my whole paycheck there. I didn't but if I would've it would be worth it to have the best decorated cardboard box any street corner had ever seen! I give this shop five stars and recommend it to anyone who is looking for something beautiful in their house or a great gift for a loved one. Or you can just buy something for me...
