Worst haircut ever!!!! On friday 10/4 went to scotty's Barber shop as walk in. Told barber I wanted him to take of 1 inch of hair everywhere and a little shorter in back. firstly it seemed like the barber had never used scissors before. As the haircut proceeded I could tell things were going wrong so told barber again how I wanted my hair and that I combed my hair straight back. Told barber three times what I wanted and showed him twice how I combed it. Ended up with uneven hair from side to side, and just a really bad haircut. read more

Every time I get a cut from Scotty he never fails! After a couple visit, he introduced me to a new hair product Layrite Cement Clay. Normally my haircuts are short but as my hair gets longer it's harder to control. With the high hold of layrite it makes life easier! Great, authentic barber shop. Scotty and Casey (sp?) were both super nice and both did a great job. It was my first time there, but if I find myself in the area and in need of another cut, this is where I'll go. No half-ass work in this shop! Everything was clean, comfortable waiting area, professional decor and equipment. There were several appointments and regulars there when I got there as a walk in, and I was still out of there in a good amount of time. Casey did my hair, and she did a great job! Top notch fade, scissor cut on top, and straight razor edge. Not enough shops like this one anymore... get away from the chains and box cutters and check this shop out! read more

The only reason I gave 5 stars is because 6 wasn't an option. I typically go to to chain haircut places and have never been to a barber, or understood why people go to barbers, but Scott was amazing and made me a believer. I was visiting from out of town and called his place just before closing, he picked up and said he'd wait around for me even though I would get there after closing. The place is nice and he is a great hair cutter. He definitely doesn't rush through getting you done and does a great job. He even volunteered to do a hot shave. Extremely nice and personable guy who takes pride in his shop and haircuts. I would recommend Scotty to anyone wants a great haircut from a personable guy (and his prices are amazingly cheap). I usually go to chain barbershops like SuperCuts, but after moving back to Middletown and not finding one I decided to give Scotty's a try because he does beard trimming as well. I walked in for a haircut today (3/13/19) and immediately knew I had made a great decision.
