The barber in the first chair may resemble the perfect blend of a Bond villain and Nacho Libre. He is quite articulate and well- spoken. The other barber or often referred to as "the old barber" is also an excellent barber as well. With the many years of wisdom behind him , I felt like he was my very own Puerto Rican Mr. Miyagi! And even though I could barely understand him because he spoke very little English, I felt as though he was bestowing on me great words of wisdom! And my hair always came out the way I think he thinks I asked for. And with they're "Free Entertainment" policy , anything is possible! I'm giving them 4 stars. They lost the one star because the barber in the first chair was a little too talkative.

About 4 months ago I tried to get in with my regular barber. He wasn't on that day and one of the guys at the shop gave me his (i assume) his personal number to contact him. I got no response (but didn't bother me as I probably wouldn't have answered a work call on my day off). I then call the shop again two days later (when I know my barbers is working) only to have them play a game of pass the phone, while I was told they were busy and had no openings. I couldn't even get info about their next available day. Usually when I call I ask for my barber and it's him i usually speak directly to. this time that wasn't the case. I'm not sure what the issue was as I have never had an issue or caused a problem. I always tipped my guy 33% gratuity (even after the price increase during the pandemic). Not sure what caused a breakdown but I know i haven't done anything to anyone to deserve the childish manner in which they handled a haircut appt.

I can't fathom in who's business plan that kind of garbage is considered ok. Add in that many parents bring their kids there, and while I was there there was my 15 year old son, a 14 year old young man, another parent and a HS teacher there, then they started talking about raunchy comedians amongst themselves, and I just don't understand why the management or the barber's present would ever have that on in their place of business. This was our last haircut there. I will spend my $ at places that are less dude hangout, and more family friendly.
