Scotty's is a nice bar and restaurant tucked away in Duquesne PA. It's actually a 50+ bar but there's no age limit if you're eating or ordering food in the separate dinning room.
Scotty's kitchen has recently become home to the seafood heavy gourmet creations of Chef Taneisha Reed (Chef Neish) also known as Soulful Finesse.
Soulful Finesse has some of if not the best food in the burg. This is not just good food. This is no just gourmet food. This is a curated journey of flavors. This is a blessing on your tongue. There is so much flavor, complex flavor, that it is quite remarkable. There is a main menu but keep your eye out for the chef's daily special limited dishes.
Wings: crispy and well seasoned doesn't say enough these were really good.
Fish shrimp and grits: you have never had this dish done this well. The grits were beautifully soft and creamy. The crab cream was a reward level addition. The fish and shrimp had no business being this good. So well and complementarity seasoned that i said omg with every bite.
Salmon and shrimp macaroni: very well done cheesy mac and a transcendent salmon with a sweet savory glaze.
Cajun Philly Salmon sandwich: spicy creamy flavors laid lovingly into salmon with cheese, onions and peppers. Tucked into a tender bun. A must have
Philly Salmon eggrolls (special): these were just about the most delicious of the night. Same filling as the Philly Salmon but rolled and fried crispy.
The ocean fries (special): these were my favorite. Shrimp, crab, crawfish and a wonderful sauce adorn these fries. You deserve this.
Every part of the meal was delicious by itself even the freaking microgreens. Though everything was able to stand alone it was expertly put together and everything perfectly complemented all other components.
This is great food. You owe it to yourself to go here. read more
