Hugh rip off. This place is always 50 cents or more per gallon than other 76 stations in the county. I live down the street but buy gas in Santa Cruz because it's always cheaper. Moreover, this station syncs its price with the Shell station across the street. If the Shell raises its price 20 cents this place raises its price within a day. These two could be the most expensive gas stations in Santa Cruz County. read more

I went down to the gas station near my house where I've lived at off and on for 40 years because I needed to exchange my $10 in quarters for a $10 bill. I counted it first to make sure the cashier wouldn't have to spend too much time. I was greeted with the question "Did you buy gas?" I answered "Not today, no." Then she says, "you want me to buy those coins and you didn't even buy any gas or anything?" I remained calm and I politely explained how we would be doing each other a favor since she would just have to get quarters from the bank, anyway. She gave me the $10 bill and I left. She lost nothing, except 10 seconds of time and she had to endure 10 seconds of conversation with me. I have spent thousands of dollars at this place over the years. I even f-cking worked there. I even have a jacket with the 76 logo on it. Maybe I should wear it next time. It's a gas station. They are notorious for being villains. When it comes to reputation, it's already an uphill battle for the 76 gas station. This lady is only making matters worse by representing them so poorly. We used to buy gas here all of the time until my wife needed to put air in the tires of the stroller our toddler was in. The worker harassed her saying if she doesn't buy gas she doesn't get air. It is a FACT that it is state law to give citizens air that are in need, no questions asked. She was talked down to and felt attacked. Their phone number doesn't work for management. Over priced gas, candy almost two dollars, I've lived here 20 years and I'll never go back there unless it's to give the worker a talking to. read more

This would be my only gas station review but I need to let the owner know I've taken my $120 a week gas expenditure to your competitors because the attendant came out to question rudely whether I was going to get some gas or not since I've been sitting in my car for 5 minutes. Yes 5 minutes being engaged in a discussion with my friend who's sitting next to me. I have never been hurried away or felt like I need to pump gas or get the hell out of the way at any gas station anywhere. No thanks for getting the stink eye or stinking attitude from your attendant I'll take business else where so your pump can stay empty. read more

So I was here at 4 in the morning because I'm a late night Uber driver. All my fiancé was driving for me because I had gotten to tired to drive so she was driving for me. She pulled into this 76 on Mt Hermon to use the bathroom. She was waiting for me to wake up which took about 5 minutes. Before I was even fully awake the dude inside came out and was asking if I was going to hurry up because he had shit he needed to do. He went back inside and I went to put my shoes on considering my fiancé had called 10 minutes earlier to use the restroom. He came back out in less than 45 seconds and told us that there were bathrooms else where and we should go look somewhere else. So after finding no open bathrooms we came back and very quickly tried to go to the bathroom and he told us he didn't want our bullshit at the store?!?! We never caused any trouble and there was absolutely nothing going on the whole time we were there. I honestly think he was just mad he has to do his job. read more

I like 76 so I always try to find one wherever I am. This one is average with average priced gasoline. I think there was a resident homeless guy outside but pretty harmless. The other thing that was a little annoying is that a guy started talking to me about my car (that's okay) but then was trying to sell me window tint (not okay). We came to refill diesel in my wagon on a road trip. I don't think I've had to wait 15 minutes at a station, having my friend's credit card get preauthorized about $140, only to find out their pumps stopped working entirely (and only one pump does diesel). Shell's diesel across the street isn't as high of quality as 76 or Chevron diesel, but it did work right away. The gas station people were dumbfounded as to what the problem was, made some phone calls and had us wait, and then just said sorry. Yeah, sorry for wasting 15 minutes of our time. Not coming back to this station next time I stop by in Felton. read more

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE STATION!! My wife pulled in to fill up. Her battery died and it was dark. She then went to the attendant to use the phone to call for assistance. She was told that the phone was not for customers and they could not let her use it. She then had to cross the street and use other gas stations (Shell) phone to call me.Shell was very helpful, understanding and concerned. Upon arriving, I confirmed they would not let her use the phone, nor did the attendant offer his cell. I then asked of the manager's number and was given it. Upon calling Travin, the manager, I was told that they would not let her use the phone. I restated that it was at night and all she needed to do was call. Travin then said under no circumstances would they allow a customer to use the phone. He even went so far as to criticize my wife for leaving her phone at home. I then asked for the owners number as he tried to play off the policy on them. He would not give it to me then hung up I see no reason for any decent person to leave another stranded. Fuel prices were as fair as most and better than some, inside the station store was clean and the selection of drinks and food was great and I love their sun glass selection ... excellent!! I came here to get gas- very normal. The credit card machine at the pump wasn't working- understandable. I went in to have money put on the pump through the store and to tell them that the credit card machine wasn't working. I asked for $20 on my pump. The guy rang me up and then presented me with two receipts to sign. One read "$2.20 total." I told him there must be a mistake, I wanted $20. "I know, I messed up, that's why you're signing both." He was defensive, but hadn't yet informed me of the error until this moment- maybe consider telling me before just presenting me with receipts? I was waiting then to check if I had actually gotten $20 of gas put on the pump yet and he was just standing there. I asked, "So am I good on the pump now?" He told me "No, you still need to re swipe your card." Once again- would have been fine but why not tell me the process rather than expecting me to know what to do next? It was just a weird experience and he was very unfriendly. I went back once (because it is more convenient on the side of the street) and it was fine because the credit card machine worked. It's okay to make mistakes, just be a little more polite about them? read more

The gas station experience was typical, and the same as any other gas station, until a employee approached me after pumping gas to try to sell a product. After I told him no 4 times and he persisted, I asked who his boss was. He told me he owned the company and he made the product in his basement. He had a stand setup in front of the gas station with his product. This guy was very rude and obnoxious. If this was not a gas station employee, it was someone there with permission from the gas station. read more

Scotts Valley 76 is the best gas station I have ever been to. They are always reliable and I can trust them with filling my gas up for my car or cleaning my windows. Especially the young man named Kai that works there. I have gotten asked every time I come, by him or another attendant so it's always a pleasure to come there. read more
